Marauder 2
Second mech ever, this guy was a lot of fun to paint. Tried to do a Capellan scheme but im not knowledgeable enough to know if they even had marauders.

Second time doing nmm at this scale. This guy was a lot of fun to paint up. Maybe ill do a whole kill team at this scale.
No plans do a full army but I did want to mess around and see how far I could push a 6mm model. This was a lot harder than I expected, especially because the face is so small that it kinda becomes a blob the moment you put one little drop of paint on it.
The sculpt is by onslaught miniatures.
Ended up a little boring looking but I'm glad he also looks ancient, like hes millions of years old. Metal was painted using drybrushing.
Probably one of the best minis ive done in a while. Very happy with the result.
Painted this guy with a sponge for the yellow over a brown base coat. Was only a handful of colors to finish this guy. I did miss some details like the brass on the lascannon coils, but overall im happy with this guy. Only took a few hours.
With this guy done I do wanna go all in and do a whole imperial fists army in this style.
If I do want to play IF, what units are really cool in the army?
A little embarrassing to admit but this is actually the most amount of points I've painted for an army for any wargame (except for maybe epic) and so I'm really proud on how these guys turned out. Theres a line of improvement between the squads.
My favorite unit out of all of these has to be either the head hunters or the terminator command squad, both were a lot of fun to paint up.
Here's to hopefully another 1000 points before the summer ends!
I spent a day painting all of these up from start to finish. Its shocking how at this scale painting feels so rewarding. Having something like an army painted only after a few hours of work is so nice.
The minis are from onslaught miniatures.
Painted 11 termaguant and 4 hormagaunt stands today, the batch paint run was a slog but at least I never have to worry about painting more hormagaunts. I have 4 more termaguant units left but im not going to paint those just yet.
BF wants to play epic as his first ever gw game (and tabletop wargame) so I have obliged by starting to paint armies. The hormagaunts and termaguants are original I got from a lot for cheap and the dactylis is an FDM print.
Im hoping to play 3rd edition, but I have no idea whats a good baseline to play a basic match. I was thinking 500 points since the points are super low in 3rd. Also, what are the good resources to play 3rd? I have the original books and everything.
Ive had this box for over two years and is one of my earliest warhammer purchases. After many painting, stripping and priming again, I finally decided on a scheme ahd finished the box.

Theyre supposed to be alpha legion.
Same as before, FDM print with my 0.2 nozzle. These were a lot of fun to paint up. No idea in particular for what I have in mind for a project but either way im definitely painting more of these.
Painted up some 15mm iron warriors on an afternoon. These painted up super quick, although that might have to do with the sloppy paint job. The nice part is that they're small enough to not have to analyze every detail.
I would love to hear any feedback!
Painted this guy up to test out how good minis could look if they were printed in fdm. Although some aspects turned out well, and for what it is the print turned out great, there are some growing pains with the material. Glazes and such have a tendency to move into the cracks. Is there any topcoat or other surfacer I could use to prime these prints?
This is a dark apostle from the crimson slaughter. He is an epic model scaled up to 200%
1 general, 2 stands of cannons, and 3 thunderers. These painted up very quickly, with most of this paint job getting done in a day. Super excited to finish this box up and to start working on my Chaos.
Also this the first time in a long time I used nuln oil for painting an army.
Any feedback is appreciated!
2nd to last squad before finishing the 1000 point milestone. Very happy with how these guys turned out. The banner was hell to make, it uses the flag piece from the bloodletters kit but everything else is scratch built.
I hope that these guys are fancy enough to be considered command squad guys, one of the big reasons I picked out the large rivets as gems was to give them a more regal look.
Any feedback is appreciated!
Sargent is equipped with a power axe, and 1 legionary has a multi-melta. I dont know why they have access to multi-meltas and heavy bolters but for rule of cool sake I took it.
Almost done with my command squad as well. I'm taking a break of this army when I reach 1000 points to work on my salamanders.
Any feedback is appreciated!
Finished my first two units from my empire starter box. These were a little tricky to paint but eventually I got the hang of painting all the details the right things. Very complicated designs though for units this small.
