This shit is weird

WLED + ESP32 somehow reacts to my fan switch with ZERO physical connection

This is probably the weirdest electronics coincidence I've come across 😂

I have an ESP running WLED, connected to my laptop through a USB hub. The USB hub also powers several other devices, and everything works normally.

There's a ceiling fan in the room controlled by a completely separate wall switch.

There is absolutely no physical connection between the fan switch/circuit and the ESP setup. Different board, no GPIO connection, no relay, nothing.

But here's the weird part:

When I turn the fan OFF, my WLED lights suddenly turn ON.

If I don't turn the fan off, the lights don't do it.

The ESP is only connected to my laptop via USB. The fan isn't connected to the laptop, USB hub, ESP, LED controller, or anything else in the setup.

So I'm genuinely curious: how is this even possible?

The other devices connected to the same USB hub don't seem to react at all.

Could this realistically be mains noise/EMI causing the ESP to reset or glitch, or am I just witnessing an extremely specific coincidence?

I'm more curious about the mechanism than looking for a fix.

Monitor Help

I'm looking to buy a monitor for both gaming and productivity to use with my laptop. My laptop already has an IPS display, so I want something that feels like a genuine upgrade. My requirements are:

QHD (1440p) resolution or higher (IPS)

At least 180Hz refresh rate

Compatible with a laptop setup

What would be the best monitor options for my use case and budget is around 15k inr (160 USD aprox)

Settings menu completely broken in main menu and campaign — works fine online

Whenever I open settings from the main menu it just snaps back to the menu. In campaign mode, the screen freezes on the last in-game frame (game isn't actually frozen, pressing Escape brings it back fine).

Online mode works perfectly though which is weird.

Already tried: verifying files, reinstalling, deleting local config. Nothing worked.

Anyone else facing this or know a fix?

Reno 6 Pro network keeps freezing after a while — anyone else?

So my Reno 6 Pro has this really annoying issue. The network works perfectly fine when it connects, but after some time it just... freezes. I have a speed meter on my phone and when everything's normal I can see real speeds — like 4.3 MB/s or whatever. But after a while it drops to some suspiciously round number like exactly 8 kbps or 10 kbps, which is just not a real speed. Never seen that when the net is actually working.

The weird part is it happens on both WiFi AND mobile data, and my laptop on the same network is completely fine. So it's definitely the phone.

The only fix is toggling WiFi/data off and on, or airplane mode then it's back to normal for a while before the same thing happens again.

Done some reading and it seems like it could be a DHCP lease renewal issue or ColorOS aggressively killing network sockets in the background. Tried a few things like disabling Smart Network Switch and battery optimization for apps but no permanent fix yet.

Anyone else experiencing this? Has any update actually fixed it or is there a proper solution?
