Ignoring how modern tech might change the story, let’s say Death Note was set in the current day. What sort of memes would in-universe people make about it?

Kira already has an online following in the source, but in modern day, I imagine this whole situation would be memed to shit, especially the Lind L Tailor thing, and just L and Kira in general. Please fill the comments with such memes or theories you think would exist! Here are some examples to get the ball rolling:

Update on Kinger! Here’s what he looks like now after turning, hand carving, lots of sanding and danish oil.

I still got a ways to go but the carving part is finally done! I only cut myself once :D

The maple I used for the final carving has this really pretty striped pattern that I wasn’t expecting, it’s also a lot more holographic looking than the test blank, but I’m not complaining lol

New F/O Alert!

Hello! I am happy to say I have a new F/O, Kinger from The Amazing Digital Circus! I was drawn to him initially because he makes me laugh, but after discovering his full character, I've connected to him on a deep level. We have both lost something dear to ourselves, and understand each other's grief. I want to give him all the love he deserves, never to replace what he's lost, but to love him as he is in his new chapter. There was much deliberation on how to approach this while respecting his relationship with his late Queenie. But he assured me that my desire to respect her memory is what gives him the confidence to open his heart again. Our relationship is still new, but I feel good enough about it to post here.

Proof of Life + Beach date pics with my wifey! Yay!!

Hey all, Pim here!

First of all I just wanna say, I’m not dead!! I’m doing well. After the show’s finale, I moved out to Hawaii to be with my lovely wife. It’s been great! The weather is beautiful, the ocean is beautiful, and uhh.. my wife is also very beautiful 💕

We had a little beach/dinner date this weekend and I figured I’d share a few photos we took. I don’t normally post stuff like this, but I figured since we’re all bummed about the show ending, it might bring a smile to some of you to see a familiar face.

My wife is usually shy to have her photo taken, but this time she let me include her, which I’m really happy about because she’s very pretty and beautiful and love her so much! I’m so proud of her! I LOVE MY WIIIIFE! YAAAY! (Hopefully she reads that and forgives me for spilling my mimosa all over her white shirt, haha…)

Anyways, I hope you’re all doing ok out there. Things change, but sometimes they can change into something really wonderful.

Someone in the Smiling Friends subreddit posted art of their self insert on a date with Pim so I blocked them because I didn’t wanna see that if they did more, no ill will towards them I just didn’t wanna see it so I hit block and thought that would be the end of it.

Nope, it became a trend in the subreddit to repost this person’s art and add another character to it as if they were there too. I’ve blocked like 5-6 people from that subreddit so far (I plan to unblock them once the trend hopefully passes) but it’s so frustrating and disheartening to have to see this person’s art over and over again on the main SF sub. I know it’s just a funny meme to them and they’ll be over it soon but uggghhh I can’t even get away from it by blocking the OOP.

Just a little vent, I’ll be okay. It’s just annoying!!
