How do you get access to view the practice games there? Around what time should I arrive there if I wanted to catch the practice games?

(I don't even know where to begin with having to write this post as I'm feeling a lot of panic, anxiety, embarrassment and disappointment in myself. I really thought I double-checked everything and made sure to send it to the right email address. Would really appreciate not getting as much negative and judgmental comments. I know it's 100% a mistake on my part)

I'm hoping to get some clarity or feedback especially for those who may have been in a similar situation or have read it about somewhere.

Long story short: did my virtual citizenship ceremony the other day (did the oath taking, cut my PR card, etc.). The IRCC person on call said to send the signed oath or affirmation of citizenship by 3PM that day. I made sure to scan and send in my signed one as soon as possible. I did my best to make sure it was in the right file size and to have it sent before that window period. I copy-pasted the email address that was on the PDF itself (tried clicking on the hyperlink but wasn't working). I thought it was smooth sailing from there and just waiting for the citizenship certificate which I've read doesn't typically take long as the email to access the portal and certificate comes maybe 1-2 days later. I was wondering why I still haven't received any email the day after. Fast forward to this morning and I tried to check the email I sent and my heart sank when I saw the email address I sent to didn't have the "-" on it (which really made me confused and panicked cuz I thought I copy pasted the right email address). So now I realize why I still wasn't getting the certificate because I'd had sent it to the wrong email address all along! I immediately sent the signed oath to the correct IRCC email address (the one that has a "-" on it) this time and now we're here.

I'm just wondering, will I still be able to eventually get the certificate even though I'd had sent it to the correct email address two days after the ceremony? Is there a plan or course or action I should take to help resolve this? It really was just an honest mistake and I've been just so anxious and disappointed just contemplating the worst case scenario for this especially since I already cut my PR card and on paper, I'm still not a citizen because they haven't officially confirmed it. I do plan on contacting them (calling IRCC or the contact details listed on the PDF) if I don't hear anything after 2 days of emailing them the correct one.

Hello! I recently got the official email invitation for my oath taking on May 29, 2026. However, I’m considering whether to do the in-person ceremony instead (something about just doing it in person is my preference especially in terms of the photo) especially since my parents will be in town next month and it would be nice if they’d be around to celebrate the occasion with me if the in-person ceremony gets scheduled sometime this June.

My question for those who opted for the in-person ceremony: how far ahead do they typically schedule the in-person ceremony compared to your scheduled virtual oath taking date ? If it’s in like a couple of months away, then I guess I’ll just have to do the virtual oath taking because I don’t wanna delay it by that much lol but if it’s only a few weeks, then I’ll just opt for the in-person.

Also, how fast did they reschedule you after you email them that you prefer the in-person ceremony?

Hello guys! I just checked my citizenship application tracker yesterday (May 16th) and literally on that day, it shows that I’m scheduled for the oath ceremony on May 29th. I know we’re supposed to expect and wait for the official invitation that provides the details for the time, location, and documents needed but I’m curious for those who were recently invited for oath taking/recently took their oath ceremony, how long did it take for them to email you the instructions?

I'm wondering for those who applied or in the process of their Canadian citizenship for the LPP to finish processing and reflecting in the tracker after they've finished passing the citizenship test and background check?

Are they releasing it at Cineplex cinemas today or tomorrow? I’m seeing the advance screening later tonight but I’m curious if there’s gonna be people already waiting to snag one at the cinemas today
