"‘Tin Tin’ Receives Exclusion Notice From Police Banning Him From Newcastle City Centre!

Why was a Community Protection Warning issued?

The warning follows an accumulation of reported incidents and evidence concerning a pattern of behaviour towards members of the public, including alleged harassment, intimidation, threats of violence, bullying, and the mocking or exploitation of vulnerable individuals.

This is not simply an issue of filming in a public place. The concern is the conduct associated with that filming and its impact on members of the public.

Things to ask a Reform mayor?

Just found out a charity I volunteer at is going to receive a visit from our recently newly elected Reform mayor and their cronies in the next few days.

Just wondering what question(s) I should have ready for them?

Personally Id rather shit in me hand and clap than be in their general proximity but might as well take advantage of the situation.

Saved for Sunday

From my dumpster diving and scrapping activities built up around 3kg of lower grade scrap copper and brass ready for a smelt on Sunday if the weather stays suitable to work outside. Will most likely end up as bars/bullion. Meaning to have a go at sand casting at some point but wonder where people are getting their patterned bullion moulds from as having difficulty finding similar here in the UK?

Pics of early attempts and smelter before I discovered it's a really good idea to smelt outdoors yo avoid fumes and pissing off the other half 😉

Weekend weigh in's. Yes or no?

Been scrapping on and off now for many years and was always told by more experienced scrappers to avoid taking stuff in at weekends as you get a lower price. From personal experience it's felt like that several times so now I just go on weekdays but is it just me and has anyone else heard or experienced this?

UK... Why won't this heat just stop?

"Heat warnings issued for parts of UK"

I'm not doing well. Its been around 20° Celsius the last few days and around 15° at night. Sooo combined with not getting much sleep the heat has been merrily sucking the life out of me.

Desk fans help a little but now starting to really feel it. Trying to keep hydrated and only doing the basic tasks to get by but ideally I'd like to sit in a fridge somewhere and wait it out. My other half is usually really good but don't think she realizes just how much the temperature affects me.

We're English. At best our pale skin and usual weather of horizontal rain and gale force winds doesn't equip us for such heat and it's worse for those of us who are medically disadvantaged.

If there was a manager and I wasn't baking my brains I'd write them a strongly worded letter probably apologeticly as is our quaint style asking them to turn it down a bit

Bensham bank this evening.

Spotted a guy painting a picture of one of the houses opposite The Cafe under the spire.

Bargain of the week

Been thinking of having a go at smelting but never had enough for a smelter until today I was browsing around the local car boot sale and saw this.

£25. Had to have it.

Honestly at that price I'm kind of surprised it worked. The guy selling it said he'd tried ewaste gold and silver recovery but rapidly lost interest.

Just had a quick go at making my first Ingot out of a bit of old aluminum I had lying about and I'm over the moon with it.

Tomorrow I'll try some copper but it's definitely an out door activity as my good lady has pointed out due to the smell 😁

Anyone else save circuit breakers?

Usually find a couple in the skip when I'm digging for no.1 started saving them to dismantle myself as they have a little copper and brass in them but now found a yard that buys them as "dirty aluminum". A few people have said sell them as they are however as I'm taking them out of a skip, I've no idea about testing them and they're a safety device wouldn't want the hassle

Today was a good day

Spent a few hours stripping with before and after pictures. Final weight is just the wire I picked up yesterday not including a bit of copper pipe and brass

Another one bites the dust

"A councillor has resigned 10 days after winning a seat in the local elections because her "business commitments have expanded rapidly".

Reform UK's Danielle Cavanagh won one of three seats in the High Fell ward of Gateshead Council from Labour in the local elections on 7 May.

A statement from chair of Reform's Gateshead Central and Whickham group Lindsay Atkinson said it was not a decision "taken lightly" by Cavanagh, but the party was "very confident" of holding the seat."
