This thing might just save my life.

Prepare yourself, this is a long one...

So for some context I used to go to university in a small city, relatively flat with low traffic volumes and some great cycling infrastructure. I didn't have a car at the time and used a bike to get literally everywhere I needed to go. It was quite often my break from the world when the world was feeling a bit tough, I'd jump on my bike and cycle round the city, it helped me out so much, my form of grounding myself .Ultimately I ended up having a super bad time due to outside circumstances, and ended up in hospital.

I had to move back to my parents in a hilly river valley, which also happened to be a fault line, resulting in rolling hills and sheer cliffs, I quickly realized that biking wasnt really an option here.

Since then I've been tied to having to walk (which limits distances I can go) or drive (I hate driving), and the village I live in has very few amineties or things to do, so I've felt like my world is very limited, split between home, the car, and work. I've also moved to a flat which didn't have the storage for a bike.

For a while I've been looking at folding e-bikes but everything was out of my budget, so I was stuck. Then I stumble across this, the ADO Air 20 Ultra. It was in budget and had all the features I was looking for.

It has shrunk my surroundings back down to a human level, it means I can get all over without having to get in my car, and I don't feel limited to what amenities are available to me. My commute is fun now, and I've gone back to cycling round the local towns for no good reason, other than to watch the world go by. The hills are now a non-issue, I've got back what I lost when I had to move back home.

This thing might just bring back the enjoyment that I've been lacking from life a little recently. Thank you, bike.

Scared of thieves.

Hi All,

I recently bought a rather expensive e-bike to replace my car on shorter journeys. I've bought a gold rated lock and an extension to also lock up both wheels, and sometimes even take the battery seatpost with me to deter thieves, but I'm finding that leaving it locked up is giving me quite a lot of anxiety.

I'm scared to leave it locked up too long which is limited where I can go with it and what I can use it for. I've also seen a lot of posts recently about people getting robbed while riding, kicked off their bike and threatened at knifepoint - I saw one post of that happening exactly where I had ridden my bike only an hour earlier.

Obviously I have got insurance, and I'm not dumb enough to put up a fight with someone holding a knife. But do you guys have any tips to feel more secure while riding and when locking up your bikes?

Thanks in advance!

How to get concise, no fluff responses from Gemini.

Does anyone know if there is a way to set Gemini on Google Home to give concise answers with no unnecessary padding or fluff?

For example, I asked "Who starrs in inside number 9".

I wanted the answer "Steve Pemberton and Reece Sheersmith" but instead I get a description of the show, loads of background information, and a unwanted conversational approach.

It ain't much, but it's a lot better than when we moved in

When we moved in this was just a sparce patio with no soul. It still needs a lot of work but my planter + trellis made such a difference. I need to get some more potted plants and build up some layers, and also build a bin shed to hide those. But I'm really proud of how it's coming along.

Any advice welcome :)

I'm a medical cannabis user for anxiety and depression but I treat myself to an edible every now and again, especially when I run out of flower.

While I say I'm medical, I only really use it to kill boredom and use that as my excuse. My anxiety is a lot better when I'm NOT on weed.

I've been thinking of quitting for a long time but I've never bit the bullet.

On Thursday I had a slice of edible biscoff cake, it was a few days old but I assumed it would be fine.

Cut to the next day and I'd shat myself at work and puked all over my girlfriend's car. My stomach has been in agony for 3 days now.

I'm done. I wanted to come off weed anyway but never had the balls to do it. Now I'm looking at the stuff and it makes me sick.
