A realization that completely changed how I view women and dating

I used to be one of those guys who complained that women ignore "nice guys", choose playboys, and only want stable men when it's time for marriage.

For years I thought women were being unfair. But after talking to female friends and others guys and even reddit and other platforms , and paying attention to how dating actually works, I realized I was looking at everything from a male perspective.

The biggest realization? Most women aren't living the same reality as men. The average woman deals with more attention, more messages, more advances, more unwanted interactions, and more people trying to get something from her than most men will ever experience.

The more I understood that, the harder it became to blame women for being selective, cautious, or distant. A lot of my opinions on dating changed because of that.

Most men seriously underestimate how much attention women receive. If a woman gets hundreds or thousands of likes on a dating app, how exactly is she supposed to give everyone a fair chance? People complain that women don't reply, but realistically nobody is going through 1000 profiles individually and arku an athrem time to go through all the profiles Most men would become selective too if they had those numbers. , algorithm an issue The dating market is simply not balanced.

Some of the things I realized are in the comments

I'm Fed up with overprotective parents micromanaging everything in my life...what to do?

21M ...But still need to submit a detailed affidavit to go out of home for anything. Got a driver's license more than a year ago.But still won't let me take out their car/bike alone.

Back when i was in 10th i had to conduct a nirahara samaram and quite a lot of drama so that i could go with friends for a cinema with occasionally calling on my friends phone , asking me to drop me back at the earliest that many of my friends don't even call me out ( I've heard saying that my parents are too much and it's better u stay at home ) ,

If i say i'm going out for a movie/chill with friends...that too once in a while...they won't let me...so i'll have to lie. The only entertainment I'm allowed is going out with them for whatever they think is interesting or for running their errands.

I always have to and need to ask their permission even small things like to go and close the gates or doors so u can imagine the controlling part they have. And then they blame me for not being reliant or independent oke and if I try to reason with them mom start doing emotional manipulation or having tears saying why am I like this and dad justs gets angry and starts talking harshly

And they also want to know everything about my life , micro manage and not let me sit even at least to myself always bombarding me with their questions and problems and rant and manipulating me into listening to what they want me to do or guilt tripping saying i don't listen to them like the past , I'm being disappointing them and other complainants and they are giving me so much freedom en unlike in their times

Everything outside of their home is a potential threat and I should avoid it and stay safe by staying at home, doing what they think is 'padutham'.

Posting this here as i'm a bit pissed off with them after having an argument with them for letting me out ...I don't see anyone else in my friend circle being controlled like this by their parents....Is this the so called 'helicopter parenting'?Or are they behaving like this because i am running on their cash? What can i do to get off this

The hypocrisy of us malayalis

Translation for the malayalam written

Jagadeesh: complains about other people's racism.

Mukesh: agrees with him and

Jagadeesh says : do they think we're some sort of 3rd rate tamilian? ( Aanachi for tamilian)

We proceed to lecture others about how progressive malayalis are and criticise other states and show our superiority complex

and say we face racism always from other states and abroad while being casually racist calling non malayalis as bengali or Tamizhans as pandi

Did Vishwaroopam controversy cause KH to not take any risks

I felt that he stopped taking risks especially with his last projects going commercial and safe movies?

As i believe antha timeil he was too much affected by everything even personally

Why all the hate he had from the past despite giving the best movies , interesting subjects , technical side and good scripts , lyrics and as a filmmaker also

This is a doubt I had from long time

While watching tamil movies also (recently kara I observed) many tamil movies have this paasam or little over ayitula melodrama or karachil or too much expression

I had studied in tamizh nadu and have friends and they are also like in this , I've talked to them or in person

They liked the melodrama in movies and saying it was emotional and the paasam and it was excellent movie

Eniku i felt never worked for me the tamizh paasam

Why so ?

Working ppl, how're you preparing for cat with your job?

Okay so I need genuine advice here because I'm struggling and scared honestly, I just started

How are you balancing your studies and prep with job

By the time I get home from work I have absolutely no energy left. I sit down to study and I'm just... blank. Can't retain anything, can't solve sets, just staring at the screen , and feeling sad it's not productive

I've tried studying in the morning before work but It's not working out also really well and honestly the quality of those sessions is terrible too : (

But what does that actually look like day to day? Like what's your actual routine and prep strategy u would suggest to study or plan as I'm a beginner level and for context I haven't prepared any time for any competitive exams before and is very weak in all 3 sections

Would really appreciate hearing from people who've actually been through this, please help 😭
