Erosion Control

I’m in USDA zone 8B and EPA
Ecoregion Level 2: SOUTH CENTRAL SEMIARID PRAIRIES; Ecoregion Level 1: GREAT PLAINS. My yard is sloped with dappled light. I’m looking for something to plant that will help me control erosion. I was thinking of Northern Sea Oats.

If you have experience with this plant, can you share the good, bad, and ugly of it?

Please note that I have two 10lb Chihuahuas.

Thanks.

What has been your experience with Alloy or Musely skincare products?

I don’t know Instagram ad or post I clicked on, but now I keep seeing ads for Alloy and Musely skincare products. The results seem doubtful for just a cream - particularly the Musely ads; those seem ridiculous. The Alloy ads have intrigued me. In any case, I would love to hear from women who have used them.

I have a .05 tretinoin Rx cream that improves my skin, but I can only use it 2x a week, or my skin gets too sensitive.

2015 Rex, Broken Motor Mount & More

Today, the mechanic said that the cost to repair my car is more than the value of my car. I’m heartbroken.

The engine mount bracket is broken and the engine has dropped down. Due to the broken engine mount bracket, the axle is rubbing on the HV battery cable, and the axle boot is damaged/leaking.

They said only BMW can work on the HV cable.

I’ve never worked on a car before. Has anyone ever done DIY repairs on some of those stuff? I’m probably in the denial stage of grief, but if anyone has any Hail Mary ideas, I’d like to hear them.

Accountant

Hello. I'm a new small business owner looking for a CPA who specializes in single-member LLCs and consultants/freelancers. Ideally, someone who has set up solo B2B-service businesses before, not just retail or restaurants. I also need someone who has a clear fee structure.

I'd appreciate recommendations for an experienced, skilled, and knowledgeable CPA. Thanks!

Looking for hair stylist recommendations who is experienced in wavy/coarse hair.

The title says it all. I have found someone to color my hair and she’s been great, but finding someone to cut and style my hair has been much harder. I have thick, coarse hair which is mostly wavy, curly underneath, and frizzy everyday unless I put lots of product in it. That said, I don’t want to straighten it, and I need a good, low maintenance cut.

I’d appreciate any recommendations.

Would appreciate

What the Heck Happened to Pinterest?

I haven’t been on Pinterest in forever. But I have a little project and thought I’d create an inspiration/mood board. Holy hell! It’s all just one giant ad or AI generated images. Did Amazon buy Pinterest?

Anyway, is there another old-style Pinterest site? Thanks.

Native, Invasive, or Adapted

Hello! Gardening newbie here. I’m in North Central Texas. This plant popped up in my front garden. Can anyone identify it?

I’m not sure if I keep it or ditch it. Thanks for your help.

Excuse Me, We Exist

You ever notice how all the posts on social media went from interactions between Boomers and Millennials to interactions between Millennials and Gen Y, like we never even existed? I definitely don’t want to go through the “Hey Boomer” nonsense our older siblings/parents had to deal with, but I’d like to be acknowledged. Hello Universe, we exist!😄

The Butterfly Ball - Buffalo

This puzzle was harder than expected, and sometimes pieces could fit where they didn’t belong, but I love the image so much. It comes with a poster.

Brand: Buffalo
Artist: Aimee Stewart
Title: The Butterfly Ball
