Homemade baked macaroni cheese

In England (where macaroni cheese was invented btw!), we traditionally serve it with sliced tomato on top.

We used a mixture of standard cheddar, extra mature cheddar, and Red Leicester cheese.

We served this also with side portions of streaky bacon, onions fried in a pan, and extra-crispy fried onion.
