I still think about it it's been 3 years..

Today I received my first salary, and instead of thinking about what to buy, I found myself thinking about someone I haven't spoken to in years. We met around four years ago in college. Back then, I was still trying to figure out in college. She would genuinely encourage me and even pray that I'd find one. When she finally got her own job, she was so happy that she immediately shared the news with me. I still remember how proud I felt for her. Life happened after that. There wasn't a fight, no betrayal, no blocking each other. We just slowly drifted apart until there was nothing left except an old chat. Today, after getting my first salary, I instinctively opened our conversation because I wanted to tell her, "I finally got the job we used to talk about." Instead, I was greeted by our last messages a reminder of how much time had passed. She was one of the kindest and most genuine people I've ever known. As far as I knew, she wasn't someone who played with people's feelings or jumped from one relationship to another. She simply cared about the people in her life and wanted them to do well. It's strange how some people become such an important part of your journey, yet never get to see the destination. I didn't message her. I just smiled, closed the chat, and silently thanked her for believing in me when I didn't fully believe in myself.

Need sneaker suggestions for gifting my mom from my first salary (for outings/casual wear) – Budget ₹10k

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to gift my mom a pair of sneakers from my first salary and I’m honestly very confused about what to get. She’s 40 years old and mainly needs them for going out casually shopping, dinners, travel, family outings, etc. Not for gym/running.

I want something that:

  • Looks stylish but still classy for her age
  • Is very comfortable for long wear
  • Matches normal outfits easily
  • Doesn’t look too sporty or too bulky

Budget is around ₹10k max. Would really appreciate recommendations from people who bought sneakers for their moms/wives or women in this age group.plz
