Just a screenshot from a mod I'm working on rn

I may have set the freespawn rate for these tanks WAY too high lol.

currently it's a 20% chance for every citadel for every turn. I should probably tune that down to like, 5%. or not have them freespawn at all.

It is still in very early development, and not published yet, but hey, no reason not to post this here.

uhh, any questions would also be appriciated.

(basically this mod is about a fallen empire transporting its last remnants to elysium and trying to rebuild there, with some divine help from their goddess and by simply being the military-industrial complex incarnate)

How many of Eclisia's thorns would it take to kill your OC? (please no gods or OCs that can't be killed. Unless it's funny.)

Thorns are Eclisia's most basic combat drones. They also double as the drones she usually uses to communicate with non-hiveminds.

This may sound counter-intuitive, but Eclisia likes acting like a symbiotic organism to any civilization she encounters, where she feeds on any biological(and often non-biological) waste and in return defends that civilization and helps out with big projects, so thorns usually only see combat when everything goes wrong.

However, if there is a problem she cannot talk to, she is absolutely willing to bury it in thorns. There is no upper limit to how many she is willing to spend. There is no limit to the time she is willing to take. She will just keep sending more thorns until that problem dissapears. One of the many upsides of being an unending hive is that she can just eat the dead thorns again afterwards. and the ground they died on.

And your OC somehow managed to piss off the inter-multiversal mostly pacifist all-consuming swarm. Good luck. (Bonus points if you explain how your OC did that, because Eclisia isn't even capable of holding grudges. or malice, for that matter.)

We will assume that Eclisia is only sending thorns.

As for the stats of a thorn:

They are 2.3 meters tall. Like most of Eclisia, they are a fusion of flesh and machine.

Thorns are durable enough to survive some small arms fire and keep moving, but anything more powerful than an anti-tank rifle is going to cause too much damage and shut the drone down.

One of them is armed with a fully automatic 6 gauge shotgun with slug rounds capable of punching through basic power armor, and buckshot capable of shredding lightly armored infantry. The stinger injects up to 300ml of chlorine into the victim's body.

The claw is a repurposed industrial metalcutter, and will cut through up to 20 centimeters of tungsten like a hot knive through butter.

Speed-wise a thorn can run at 30-ish km/h. 40 if they do overdrive, which has the side effect of cooking the thorn in a matter of minutes.

They have a reaction time of 0.010 seconds.

So, how many will it take? or is it even possible? (yes, it does count as a win for Eclisia if the OC is buried in so many corpses that they get crushed by the weight or suffocate.)(also, is matchup search the right flair for this one, or is this more of a discussion? or maybe vs battle? I really can't tell.)

The Intergalactic exploratory force is here to answer all questions any of your OCs may have.

THIS post explains most things you need to know about them.

But quick TLDR:

The Intergalactic exploratory force(Usually just called IGEF) is a inter-multiversal organization which protects it's own verse(and every other verse it is canonically in, which would be all of mine plus any verse made by other people who want to have them in it. I do not know if any of the latter exist.) from all of the absurdly destructive things that happen.

They are the people who stop the classic 'multiverse annihilator 2000 beam' from going too far,
They are the people who rebuild the universes shattered in the wake of upstart type 6 civilizations,
They are the people who keep the verse which they are in from tearing itself apart.

IGEF does this by using some of the most advanced sci fi and space fantasy plot devices technology you can imagine, and more importantly than that, by having a practically infinite amount of resources to throw at problems.

They are divided into 5 sub-organizations.

The Foundation of violence and other violent affairs is their military. It is also often called the sledgehammer, as it removes the fan once shit has hit it.

The exploratory force is their, well, exploratory force and science division.

The department of outside context problems is practically the SCP foundation, but public and under IGEF control.

The Foundation of industrial affairs controls the means of production. They make sure IGEF actually makes proper use of it's infinite resources.

The Department of diplomatic actions does exactly what it sounds like, it handels almost all non-violent outside contact.

Anyone can join IGEF as long as they are doing it out of their own free will and are not doing it for a selfish reason.

They will Explore, protect and improve everything they can, no matter what it takes.

And they will be silly while doing it.

But don't worry, they are friendly to everyone who hasn't pissed them off to badly.

What would your OC think of the Intergalactic Exploratory Force? If you want, I can also tell you what their opinion of your OC would be.

After all is said and done, After multiverses have been shattered in epic finales, or just on the whim of a particularly powerful villain to show off their power,

there is someone out there.

Someone who has the clean up the mess.

Someone who makes sure everything will be alright in the end.

And that someone is the Intergalactic Exploratory Force.

The Intergalactic Exploratory Force, or IGEF for short, is an organization dedicated to exploring all there is, might be, or might have been, protecting all they have explored and improving all that they protect.

They can, and will, use anything in their endless arsenal of space fantasy plot devices very reasonable things to achieve those 3 goals.

I think that arsenal might actually be a good starting point to get a general feel of what IGEF actually is.

Their arsenal includes, but is not limited to:

The A.R.S.D(Anti-relativistic stabilization device), which exists because general relativity is annoying and just gets in the way of easy FTL travel.

The L.T.St.D(Linear timeline stabilization device), which they use to, well, stabilize fractured timelines into a linear one. This makes them able to deal with the paradoxes that time travellers cause all the fucking time very easily.

The L.T.Sy.D(Linear timeline synchronization device), used to change how time itself works in a universe, which they usually use to synchronize the passing of time in different universes.

The A.E.E(Absolute Energy Equalizer), also often called Linefire, does exactly what you think it does. It takes the energy from all particles in a certain radius around itself, and gives an equal amount of that energy to each particle.

The list goes on, quite literally, forever, but these 4 entries should give you a general idea of the level of sci fi bullshit technology we are dealing with here.

Unlike a lot of organizations of their caliber, IGEF makes no attempt to hide itself. They have a very public presence, and are usually extremely transparent.

Anyone who wants to can join IGEF. The only requirements are that the person is doing it out of their own free will and that they are not doing it for a selfish reason, as they only act for the collective good of all sapient beings.

They define that good as the minimizing of suffering inflicted upon sapient beings.

IGEF is actually somewhat peaceful. They will refuse to use violence unless they cannot avoid it. But if they have to use it, they will be using enough of it to make sure whatever they are using it on will never be a threat again.

But when they can avoid it, they will.

The opinion the general public has on IGEF is mixed, as always, but generally positive.
Nobody can really hate the people who enforce happy endings.

I know that I have only really talked about their military on this sub so far for obvious reasons, but that is, in my honest opinion, the least interesting thing I made about them.

All that part of IGEF does is show up when shit has hit the fan, and then blow up the fan in an attempt to get the shit of off it. Things tend to encounter them in the same way a sentence encounters a full stop.

So let's take a look at their sub-organizations and what they actually do.

The F.M.V.A(foundation of murder and other violent affairs) is their military, which is what I just described.

The E.F(Exploratory force) is the sub-organization in charge of exploring new universes and doing first contact things.

The D.O.C.P (Department of outside context problems), also known as 'The department of what the actual fuck is going on none of this is supposed to exist?', is essentially the SCP foundation in IGEF makeup. They deal with all of the stuff that is not supposed to exist.

F.I.A(The foundation of industrial affairs) controls all the means of production which belong to IGEF. That last part is optional in some cases.

The D.D.A(Deparment of Diplomatic Actions) handels contact with other civilizations and political entities. They are single-handedly responsible for the fact that nobody really feels all that threatened by IGEF unless that person or group fucked up big time.

So far I only have those 5, but these do a lot of stuff.

There isn't really a lot left to talk about, but one thing I want to mention is that IGEF is somewhat meta-aware(They know they are fictional, but don't know anything about real life), and they joke around a lot.

They also sometimes mess with people, but never take things too far. For example, there was a guy who said that the stars in the sky would stop shining in the night before he would admit that his home planet isn't absolute perfection, and in the night afterwards, the night sky was completely dark with no stars to be found.

Stuff like that happenes a lot.

To the point where there is a saying in hollow stars that goes as follows: 'If you see something weird, flip a coin. if it lands on your preffered side, the Intergalactic exploratory force is responsible for it. It will always land on your preffered side because they rigged the coin.'

Okay, I'm done now.

Anyway, what would your OC think of them?

And if you want, I can tell you what IGEF would think of them. but please keep your description of them reasonably short, I don't have the time to read through a 50 page google doc.

Any questions you may have about them are also appriciated.

I don't know if I will still be awake by the time I get comments on this, so expect responses tomorrow.

Goodnight. or Day. whatever the time is where you are right now.

How many of your OCs would just die if someone used the most mass-produced weapon in your verse on them?

Basically just the title. If someone showed up with the most mass-produced weapon in your verse and used it against one of your OCs, could they tank the hit(s)?

Okay, so, the most mass-produced weapon on Marasawa is the Talonian iteration 23 M.P.G.E.S.G(Massenproduktions-geeignetes Einmalschussgewehr(Mass-producable single-shot rifle)).

It is a breach-loading firearm capable of shooting a 18mm round of any type. There are a lot of types of rounds for this gun, but I just chose 3 of them.

The most common round would be a 30 gram tungsten AP round, as tungsten is extremely common on Marasawa and easy to work with via the use of magic. (the bullet is also shot using a magical charge). The round is fired at roughly 600m/s. It will be designated as T.A.P.

Another relativly common round would be a almost purely magic impact round which explodes with roughly 40 grams of TNT worth of force. I will call this one the M.I.D round.

And then there are antimatter rounds. These are extremely rare, as they are difficult to produce, transport and use. If they get used correctly however, they are fired at 200m/s and can reduce a small building to rubble. The actual antimatter content of the round is extremely small, as most of it is just a way of keeping it contained. it will be designated as A.D.D.

Anyway, onto my OCs:

Plicia is just a kobold artificer. Girl is getting oneshot by all of these.

Same deal with Latch, cietie are not much stronger or bigger than kobolds.

generally most of the OCs that are just regular people on Marasawa are not surviving.

Leap, being a Talonian, might survive the AP round if it hit them somewhere non-vital, but would be mutilated.

And then there are the two machines I have so far:

An awakened talonian superhavy landship called ESLS-03-05-229 and an awakened coretan aeroship called the 'razor's edge'.

ESLS-03-05-229 would be able to survive the T.A.P round just fine, be damaged by the M.I.D round and get turned into dust by the A.D.D round.

The razor's edge would not even notice the T.A.P round, be mildly inconvinienced by the M.I.D round and be critically damaged by the A.D.D round.

And then there is Tara.

She's just a god. I don't think I need to explain why none of these rounds would damage her.

...Anyway, I am going to bed now and will read your comments when I wake up.

Things may be shit now, but wait, IT GETS WORSE.

The first three years of the third marasawan war were an absolute bloodbath.

Of the 17 million soldiers send in the first wave to conquer the icy world, only 2 million returned, all with extreme cases of frostbite, PTSD and a crippeling fear of anything divine.

And yet, this was only the beginning.

In the years to follow, billions would perish.

A god would fall(only for a couple thousand years tho, she just needed a nap).

And yet, Marasawa did. not. fall.

[Any Lit] A VERY uneven standoff (Space-faring OCs preferred.)

Your OC sees an 800 meter long starship(The one in the first image) surrounded by 30 ships twice it's size.

There is seems to be a heated exchange between the two on a public frequency, so your OC could listen in.

At some point while your OC is watching one of the large ships vaporizes a moon, likely as an attempt to scare the smaller ship.

This results in the exchance becoming even more heated, with neither side showing any sign of backing down.

Rules:

Combat, while allowed, is not something I would advise your OC to do for reasons that may or may not become apparent.

Romance... Uh... do I really need to explain this one?

and yeah, that's it.

for the like, one or two people in this sub who already know what IGEF is (you know who you are), the small ship is an IGEF aspis-class GDU and the other ships are from a faction called [UNIDENTIFIED] which is practically the only faction, in the world of Hollow Stars, that can so much as dream of holding a candle to IGEF.
They are also at war with each other. it is going horribly for [UNIDENTIFIED], as you would probably expect.

IGEF is being stalked

a crossover meme between Hollow stars(by me) and whatever the world is called in which the Alarics(by u/Kuhz_William) live.

Decided to make an Expie OC. any thoughts on the lore?

(I made this guy with the intend of him eventually becoming community property, so feel free to use the guy however you want. or don't. You have free will.)

This is #199053-SAW-01, also known as the bookkeeper(or sometimes as the cataloger).

He is mostly just a normal expie, however, he has a slightly modified chip. He has it because the company was testing brainchips and didn't bother removing his when he was send to the grey planet.

This left him with a chip that does not have a timer. But even better, said chip also acts as a computer inside his head.

The most important thing for him is that it is equipped with an internal wiki. It started off only containing the most basic of information, however, by now it has expanded to far that he would seem almost all-knowing to most other people he meets.

He lives in a cave in layer two where he started growing various plants that he finds in his expeditions to the lower layers.

He has two goals in life: Find out as much about the gray planet as possible, and use that knowledge to help everyone he meets.

he is also friends with an Orange OC I have yet to make.

The queen of one of my fantribes.

This silly b i g girl is the current queen of the antwings, Q-1-45.

...not sure if the AAJ is getting a chapter today.

anyway, what do you think of her(Be as brutally honest as you want. I know the talons are shit.)?

And are there any questions?

u/Streetsign10 — 2 months ago

I need brutally honest feedback on my custom faction.

The faction name is "Talonia", and they are supposed to be somewhat balanced.

It's completely vanilla.

they are a work in progress.
