Recently on one the subs I mod for there has been an uptick in false user reports for self-harm or suicide on posts and comments that are fully normal and do not contain that subject in anyway. Is there any other ways to curb this behavior other than reporting the false reports as abuse?

For moderators of trading or buy&sell subs, how do you have users prove they are not scammers? One sub I mod, has ticket trading and buy/selling for a concert and we have gotten reports of possible scammers being in the sub, and we want to ban them but if we get it wrong and they are not a scammer, how do they prove they are not one? I use two websites to check their usernames, USL and Vouchfirst to see if they have been reported in the past by other subs or users.

With the uptick of fellow Army Redditors being scammed out of Arirang tickets, we are reposting links to helpful resources to help save yourself from scammers or report a scammer.

1. The 'Avoid Scammers 101' Megathread pinned to the top of this sub.

https://www.reddit.com/r/BTSArmyCentral/comments/1vab903/avoid_scammers_101/

It has tips and tricks to help ticket buyers and sellers avoid getting scammed, red flag points and tips to verify legit ticket sales online.

2. The Universal Scammer list

https://www.universalscammerlist.com/

A site wide list of possible reddit scammers that have been reported by other users on other buy/sell subs. We sadly can't add to this list since we are not a trading subreddit, but it can help with seeing if the person your are buying from or selling to has been banned from trading subs. Even if the person isn't on the list, doesn't mean they are not a scammer, look out for red flags.

3. VouchFirst

https://www.vouchfirst.com/?platform=reddit

A website that is user submitted to report scammers of reddit subs outside of the USL and can work for reddit and X/Twitter. Since this one is user reported, it can be more up to date with potential scammers.

4. The Bangtan Social Club Discord

https://www.instagram.com/bangtansocialclub/

In the discord they have a list of scammers that have been proven and are banned from their discord for scamming or fake tickets.

⚠️Do not list any scammers in the comments, report them to the mods via modmail or reddits report system.⚠️

I've been stressing since like April about my insurance changing policy rules for GLP-1s again (they made changes in January) in July. I've been on glp-1s for awhile since no other forms of diets were working for me, so I was worried about what I was going to do when July came. I couldn't really do out of pocket cost and stopping cold turkey has rebound weight gain concerns so I've been stretching out my remaining pens for as long as possible. So as a last hail mary my endo sent in a monjaro script for my pre-diabetic history, and my insurance agreed to cover it with no issues! I'm so relieved.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some fanfic recs on AO3. My hard no is r*pe/non-con, and I prefer F/M Lucanis/Rook, smut not mandatory but encouraged and I'm open to pretty much everything.

💜💜Welcome to Avoid Scammers 101, a place where you can learn some tools to help avoid getting scammed.💜💜

🚩Scammer red flags🚩

• If the seller rushes you or acts like the transaction is time sensitive.
• Uses the "trust me" method, refuses to show screenshots or screen recordings.
• Wants to talk on another platform like Whatsapp.
• Avoids payment platforms that involve valid phone numbers (ex.Paypal) or says that its not working
• Seller will only accept payment through Zelle, Cash App, Apple Cash, Paypal friends&family or other 3rd party apps with bad fraud protections or refund policies.
• If they ask for your bank information (Never give a stranger your full bank details)

🛍️For buying tickets

• Check for the seat on ticketmaster to ensure that the seat actually exists and isn't a made up one.
• Check to see if the user is one reddit's USL https://www.universalscammerlist.com/ , even if the user isn't on the list doesn't mean they are not a potential scammer.
• We recommend only using Paypal Goods & Services for transactions, since it has protections for seller and buyer, it does carry a 3% fee that is normally on the buyer to pay. Zelle, Cash app, Apple cash, etc do not have these protections in place. Venmo is ok with protections but use at own risk.
• The only info needed for ticket transfer is the email used to sign up for Ticketmaster/Seatgeek and the first and last name on the account.
• Try to get on a video call during transfer or a screen share (Do at your own risk)
• Don't click on any email links, these could be phishing scams. Once transfer is done go into your Tickemaster or Seatgeek app and accept IN THE APP. If you miss this, the tickets can be resended and your out money and tickets.
• There's no transfer fee for Ticketmaster. No additional fee or charge is needed for access to your tickets.
• See if the seller has social media outside the platform you met on. Have they been on that platform for awhile? Do they follow the BTS members, Hybe, Weverse, other kpop idols or fan pages? Be alert though, fellow Army can still be scammers.

💰Sellers

• No payment, no transfer. Don't transfer any tickets before payment is validated.
• Don't send "good faith" payments to the buyer to prove you are real, this is also a potential scam on you.
• To protect yourself from chargebacks, send invoices for digital goods. There are templates online or on Bangtan Social Clubs discord. Screenshot or screen record everything, the ticket transfer, and emails confirming the buy accepted the tickets with accurate date and timestamps.
• Try to videocall or screen share during the whole transaction. (Do at your own risk)

More tips, visuals of fake screenshots/tickets and a known scammer list is available on Bangtan Social Club's discord, you can find a direct link to it on their instagram, bangtansocialclub.

Myself and a few others have taking over a kpop fandom sub that was unmoderated for a period of time and during that time almost all the posts were about ticket sales or swaps for the kpop groups concerts. We put out a community feed back post and someone suggested that there be a megathread of reported possible scammers, now I wonder if that could count against the sub as harassment if a post of that nature was up? Does anyone have an idea on how to curb some of the scammers?

*not putting out any 'copying' claims

I just listened to Kateye's new song 'Animal' and the beat and overall vibe of the song reminded me of CLC's 'Devil' and another song I can't think the name of, its a larger boy group, maybe Super Junior? IDK. Does the song remind anyone else of another?

Its almost impossible to see my pcp since he is booked soild until the end of time!. I have an appointment upcoming and its on a Monday in the middle of the day when I am working and since I made this appointment last year I didnt know the day at the time so I call to reschedule and he is fully booked until June of 2027......JUNE 2027!!!!!. The same thing happened during the winter when I got strep throat and the only open "quick appointment" was 3 months away. I just end up going to urgent care but then I feel bad for going to urgent care for something minor like strep throat since thats something to be done by the pcp.

I have worked in convenience/variety/liquor stores for about 10 years now so I know what I can and can't sell when it comes to alcoholic drinks. My current store is a variety and convenience store, where in my state means I can sell groceries, beer, wine, lottery and products that contain beer/wine/malt like Beatboxes or Buzzball Chillers. I don't have the the proper license to sell hard liquor or products that contain hard liquor.

Since its summer here, I've been getting a lot of asking if I sell High Noons, Surfsides, Nutrls, Cutwaters, etc. Drinks that contain hard liquor.

Most customers just the newly found fact that they have been throwing back canned vodka sodas like water and move on to the closet liquor store to find what they want.

Then there are the ones like the lady I just had who either doesn't want to accept the new info or can't wrap their heads around it. She asked if I sold High Noons, I said no since they contain hard liquor and I can't sell them. Then she goes "Well, you sell Trulys and they are the same thing." Trulys are a malt seltzer drink so they fall under the beer category. I try to tell her that they are different with one having vodka and the other being beer adjacent, she just scoffs and says "You lost my business then" and just leaves.

Do people not check what they are drinking? I've had a bunch of people act like this woman, and we have a way to instantly look up ingredients in things with our phones? Could just be me with wanting to know what alcohol I'm consuming, but I would want to know.

I just took over a sub that was abandoned and it's state is pretty bare bones. What are some good automods for starting up a sub, I already put the profanity code in from the automod wiki but are there others that are a must have?

I'm on desktop mostly.

The sub looks to be abandoned with no mods listed or a way to contact them.

I'm getting back into watch more kdramas, and my favorite genre is rom-coms. I know I have missed a few in the past years, so I want to know what are some personal favorites and maybe group favs to get me back in the swing of things.

Examples of Dramas I've seen and enjoyed:

Prefect Crown

True Beauty

My Dear Nemesis

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

My ID is Gangnam Beauty

Mr.Queen

Lovely runner

What's wrong with Secretary Kim

Shooting Stars

I've been seeing more social media post about having Army vote for BTS to perform the NFL Superbowl half time show in the US. Even though I think it would be great to see, I ultimately think it a bad idea, even more so now with how much backlash and hate Bad Bunny got from NFL fans.

I was about to boil eggs for a pasta salad I'm making and when I googled how to long to boil the eggs, (since I forgot) I saw two methods the cold water and hot water. My mom taught me the cold water way where you put the eggs in a enough water to cover them, bring it to a boil and then start the time (I need them hard) as they sit in the water.

I've been planning a event for my sub and I want to announce it but I want the poster name to be the sub mod team or just mod without my user being seen. Is that possible?
