Looking For An Investor- U.A.E- U.K. Based Business.

Hello All,

If you live in Dubai, you’ve probably noticed a trend lately. Dubizzle and Facebook is currently flooded with traditional businesses for sale—cafes, barbershops, real estate brokerages, and retail spots. Local overheads are getting tough, and a lot of conventional physical businesses are feeling the squeeze and margins are seemingly becoming thinner.

Because of this, a lot of people are looking to invest outside the UAE into digital-first assets that can be scaled globally without the friction of local borders.

That’s exactly what I’m building, and I’m looking to raise $80,000 - $100,000 USD from 1 or 2 investors max.

The Structure & Legal To keep everything completely clean and secure for shareholders, this business is being set up as a brand new U.K. LTD. The product itself will also be manufactured and distributed globally straight from the U.K.

To protect everyone, we would start by signing a standard legal MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) to lock in the terms, followed by an official Shareholders' Agreement once the capital is deployed.

The Product & Unit Economics I won't give away the exact product IP in a public post, but it sits right between the global natural sweetener market (valued around $10 billion) and the functional wellness sector (projected to surpass $430 billion in 2026).

Massive Market, Zero Major Competitors: Despite the staggering size of the global wellness market, the premium sub-sector we are targeting is completely devoid of legacy competitors. We are stepping into an open lane with a highly engineered product that has no direct mainstream rival.

Near 80% Margins: The product has a very high perceived value, but our production costs keep predictive gross margins near 80%.

Lightweight Shipping: It’s a mass-market consumable, but the form factor is incredibly light. This means we can scale globally via D2C without shipping and logistics eating our profits.

Built for Ads: It has a highly visual, valid USP designed specifically to stop people from scrolling on paid social.

B2B Expansion: Beyond D2C, the product is perfectly formatted as a premium replacement/upsell for luxury Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafes (HoReCa).

The Execution For context on my background, I’m an e-commerce and PPC specialist. A previous venture of mine was a U.K.-based brand that I took from absolute zero to over $500,000 in revenue in its first 12 months.

In this venture, you provide the capital, and I handle literally everything else:

-Product ideation & market research
-Designing packaging and brand identity
-Acquiring legal certifications for our target markets
-Manufacturing and negotiating MOQs
-Building out the Shopify store
-Creating and scaling all marketing campaigns
-Fulfillment and global logistics
-All post-purchase customer care (handling the daily realities of refunds, exchanges, and inquiries)

Looking For An Investor- New High ROI Segment

Hello All,

I am from the U.K. and currently looking for an investor to jump on board to build an online brand from scratch. I have a lot of experience doing so myself, unfortunately it's always been in the capacity of an employee, I am at a stage where I would like some ownership in what I build. I can't share the brand name for liability purposes, however this was a U.K. based brand that I took from 0 with no previous online presence to over £400,000 in revenue within its first 12 months. For transparency this isn't net profit but you can imagine whats possible with the right product and experienced operator in place.

The reason I am posting this is that I am consistently seeing people on reddit, posting while looking to start/invest in businesses from the U.K however from someone who's lived there, it's very difficult to buy and scale something original without a huge upfront investment. For example, how many cafeterias, convenience stores, car rental, chauffeur companies, beauty salons, barber shops, dry cleaning store, cleaning companies can you buy? These are saturated markets and the returns aren't great to be honest.

An e-com brand can be scaled internationally (you would have to sell internationally predominantly U.K./US/EU if you want to hit large amount of revenue.

What I am proposing is transparency with a goal to hit the ground running and churn profit, no drop-shipping. Please respect I am being transparent so do not waste either of our time if you can't commit to what I have mentioned or just want to extract information. I will do everything else, from product ideation & market research, to designing packaging and acquiring legal certifications for the target market, to manufacturing and negotiating MOQ, to building the Shopify store, to marketing campaigns/strategies, to fulfilment, to post customer care (there are always refunds, exchanges and enquiries). As mentioned I have done this all before and have a few key, high potential ideas that can scale in a healthy profitable manner for at least 2-3 years. Most e-com brands have the final goal of being acquired by a larger company for a variable multiple.

Thank you and feel free to DM if the above suits you.

E-com journey- (personal experience)

Part 1

Ok so here's a few pointers from my OWN experience (for all the anonymous trolls who get a high out of venting their own frustrations & hating from the sidelines on Reddit- i.e. I haven't tagged anyone and it MAY NOT be relevant to you, in which case keep scrolling and touch some grass.)

None of this is A.I. (appreciate the time I took to type this, it will definitely have grammatical errors 😄)

*I am personally not a big fan of drop-shipping, you can search the pros and cons online. What I found was not having something inherently unique or problem solving along with not being able to manage the backend tightly to ensure delivery times and quality is up to scratch was an issue. Also unless you're sourcing from a Swiss manufacturer, which most people don't (usually China). Most people will have access to the same products and factory as you. I personally prefer taking something existing putting in some effort, that has a proven track record, reading customers reviews and making 2-3 changes to the actual product and packaging (very important, allows you to emotionally connect with customers, invest in nice packaging). It gives you ease of mind that someone cant take it off the shelf and copy it tomorrow. Also you can create other product lines and version 2 of the product. Owning your product and IP is good for long term investors and possible acquisitions. Overall It will make you feel like a real business owner with stock going in and out, packaging it yourself early on while building good habitsetc.

  1. Don't go overboard with additional, softwares, plug ins, apps etc. Start with only the most essential things like a clean store front. (1-2 pages max) While setting up, these small expenses add up. DON'T fall for the trap. Do not also put any business expenses, accounts or direct debits on your own name. Ideally use a LTD if you're intending on doing so. It protects you from personal liability long term. An example was a Paypal Business account ( chargebacks can come up) and our shipping/courier business account.
  2. If your product price, packaging, functionality & landing page are bad, no matter what you do it won't do well or will eventually be hit with 1 star reviews. Pay a web/shopify designer on fiver to audit or improve your landing page. It's so important and most of us aren't web designers. Create a discount code and test a real purchase to make sure checkout is working. Do not run any type of advert until your tracking conversion is set up. Again just pay someone on Fiverr to do it ( this is so important, yet many people over look it) You need to make sure every £1 being put in to ads is being tracked and that the machine learning is being trained.

Most new e-com brands will fail due to our tunnel vision as an owner. Like a proud parent, we feel as if our product is the best in class. In doing so a lot of time and resources are put towards pushing something that is In effect a dead horse. Test it for a short period (1-2 months) see what the overall stream of sales and customer feedback is like. Shopify and Meta ads has a way of trickling in 1-2 sales here and there to make you think its working when in fact it's not. You should ideally put a decent daily ad budget in place to test faster. Ive seen the trap of saving money on the frontend, however you're not allowing the algorithm to gather enough data to test who your customer is while wasting weeks without realising the account is still not optimised.

  1. I found a lot of success with Google ads (its more expensive than Meta ads and needs at least £10-£15 (GBP) daily budget (aim for at least 10 clicks a day form early on) People sleep on this, however it has the highest conversion potential due to the individual actively searching for your product or service (start with a shopping campaign or search only, don't do both, make sure your images text and headlines are very high quality and keyword heavy with only relevant information, Google is not dumb and can see if you use chatgpt to paste every keyword in the description box, it will deem it junk.

You need to keep an eye on your quality score, it determines how much you pay for each click and where you rank. Don't listen to Google reps, however check the suggestions to improve your assets/overall ads. Don't worry about limited budget notices, Google wants you to spend more money. Always ask yourself if you are happy with the results. Keep an eye on your competitors impression share rank daily, on your dashboard, add negative keywords daily (even if only a few) search term reports are your best friend, showing you where your ad is showing.

A trick I found for Google shopping ads was in the Merchant centre- usually all product images have a white background, if you keep changing between coloured and white, Google allows a product image with a. coloured background and this increased conversion rates highly, it immediately catches the customers attention, also connecting your Google reviews to the shopping ad makes it look highly legitimate .

Important: You can also just create a google ads account for free without a LTD or Company (I don't think Dubai allows it) and use the keyword planner too (very important to use this free tool) l to see real data as to how many people are doing monthly searches for your product. It will help you figure out if there is real demand.

This is just a small chunk of the information. Let me know if theres a need for a part 2. I don't want to bore the readers with an essay.

Looking for U.A.E. Investor for high growth potential.

The reason I am posting this is that I am consistently seeing people on reddit, posting while looking to start/invest in businesses from the U.A.E, however from someone who's lived there, it's very difficult to buy and scale something original without a huge upfront investment. For example, how many cafeterias, convenience stores, car rental, chauffeur companies, beauty salons, barber shops, dry cleaning store, cleaning companies can you buy? These are saturated markets and the returns aren't great to be honest. The U.A.E does however have a very strong tax advantage which should be utilised.

An e-com brand can be scaled internationally (you would have to sell internationally predominantly U.K./US/EU if you want to hit the millions as the GCC market isn't large enough, and currently doesn't have the best supply chain/infrastructure for scaling a brand)

What I am proposing is transparency with a goal to hit the ground running and churn profit, no drop-shipping. I would be the minority shareholder as you are the investor. All I need is a respectable salary on a 12 month contract and some type of share from someone serious.

Business Development/ Marketing Manager Role - From the U.K.

Hi everyone,

I am from the U.K. and like many on here, I’ve been navigating the current job market and observing how businesses are adapting to more cautious B2B and B2C spending. With the unique tax advantages available to UAE-based companies, there is an incredible opportunity right now for businesses to expand beyond immediate trade zones and unlock international revenue streams.

I am currently looking for a long-term Business Development/Marketing Manager role (minimum 12-month commitment) with a forward-thinking company that is ready to invest in its own growth and explore these untapped markets. Some key sectors I have experience in are e-commerce (as shown above, a brand I launched from scratch), Warehousing & logistics, along with FMCG goods.

If anything comes to mind, please do reach out.

Thank you.

Job Hunt: Experienced Business Development Manager (Emirates ID Holder) looking for a new challenge in the UAE / International markets

Like many on here, I’ve been navigating the current job market and observing how businesses are adapting to more cautious B2B and B2C spending. With the unique tax advantages available to UAE-based companies, there is an incredible opportunity right now for businesses to expand beyond immediate trade zones and unlock international revenue streams.

I am currently looking for a long-term Business Development Manager role (minimum 12-month commitment) with a forward-thinking company that is ready to invest in its own growth and explore these untapped markets.

A bit about my situation and what I bring to the table:

  • No Sponsorship Required: I already hold a valid Emirates ID.
  • On-Site & Execution-Focused: I am looking for an in-person role where I can actively execute strategies and deliver measurable outcomes, not a remote or advisory position.
  • Strategic Growth: I specialize in identifying bottlenecks, expanding trade borders, and building sustainable revenue streams.

If your business is currently looking to hire someone to drive international growth and overcome current market stagnation, I’d love to connect.

To show you what I can do, feel free to send me a DM with a brief overview of your current setup and your biggest bottleneck. I’d be happy to share a few high-level steps we could explore together.

Looking forward to speaking with anyone who is serious about taking their business to the next level.

Best regards,

Archie
