Behind her eyes was such a disappointment

Behind her eyes by Sarah Pinborough

The build up was so exciting… then the twist… such a disappointment. The twist wasn’t tightly plotted at all, it felt more like shock value. I hated the supper natural element, if I wanted that I would just read fantasy.

Robs obsession for David didn’t make any sense, I wish they hinted at it before or some sort of foreshadowing… but no it was just completely out of the blue! We didn’t even get to know robs character that well, I wish the author dove into that more!

Overall the book was completely un clever, the twist was something I would’ve made up as an 8 year old playing with my toys. Such a waste of time.

I just read the silent patient, I want my next read to be just as satisfying and shocking

The silent patient was so clever and the plot was so tightly knotted! The plot twist made me look at the wall for 20 minutes and rethink everything. I want a book just like that!!! I find so many plot twists in books to be so random and lazy. I feel most of the time it’s the most unrealistic, crazy, “you never would’ve guessed” scenario at the end of the book as the “twist”, like sure I guess that’s a twist but it’s not what I’m looking for. I need something clever that will make me wanna go back to the start of the book and re read everything, just like this book!

Calories?

No idea what’s in this??? I’m guessing whipped cream, strawberry’s, some sort of lemon filling and cake.
