We have central air but our 2nd floor bedroom is too warm at night. So right now we crank the air up at night so we are cool but the main floor is freezing when we wake up. We have a smart thermostat and even with setting it to warm up around 4am it is still freezing when I come down in the morning. So this is silly, and it’s also wasting energy cooling all the other rooms we don’t use at night.

Best reco for a portable a/c to keep in bedroom? It’s about 350 sqft. I’ve thought about the Dyson but it’s pricey and want to make sure it’s worth the hype. And also open to other brands. I’m in canada.

I do not want a window unit. And we have had HVAC do their best to rebalance and we have closed the vents in basement. It’s a large home and we already have a separate HVAC system for 3rd floor bedrooms

Has anyone else run into difficulties getting their purifier to pair to their app? I’ve tried repeatedly, including reinstalling the app turning the air purifier off, and it just doesn’t find it. The AI bought that is trying to help me is not very helpful.

Any suggestions welcome, I would love to get some of the readings. The purifier works, but I want to see what the quality is like in the room. Thanks.

I’d previously filled my rx at shoppers and it always came from the fridge. I switched to Felix because of their new price matching for ozempic to be the same as generic and today’s delivery just arrived and it was warm. It was in a foil bubblewrap package but not at all cool. The driver had nothing to offer - he didn’t know it was medicine.

They tell me (on the app chat) it’s ok as long as it wasn’t over 30 degrees but this seems ridiculous. And now I’m regretting getting from them.

Overreaction? How has it arrived for the rest of you. For context, I have a biologic drug delivered to me and it comes in a giant cooler packed with about 10 ice packs so this strikes me as irresponsible packaging. So while I am waiting to speak to a real person, at Felix, I thought I would check in with the Reddit gang.

Hi again team! I had my first eye done yesterday, posted below. And I have 2020 distance in that right now. Next week I am having my left eye done.

Pre-surgery I needed to use reading glasses of +1.5 when it was dark or to see small things on my phone when I was wearing my contacts

I am currently wearing my old contact in my left eye and my new eye is awesome. I definitely need readers in my right eye. When he does my left one next week, he is under correcting a tiny bit to try to give me a little bit more reading, but what I don’t understand is why if he changes my lens and makes it 2020 why that makes reading worse than it is with the contact, which also makes my eye 2020.? Can someone explain the science of it? Why can I read sometimes with my contacts but I will definitely not be able to read with my new cataract lenses. My current contact prescriptions are mono vision

I think I just don’t understand the science? And he told me that I would probably need much stronger readers than I currently use. Again, why?

I know I made the choice to prioritize distance over reading and I am totally fine with that, I just wish I understood why it happens

I feel like a laundry soap commercial. I had my first eye done today! I can see relatively well already with the new lens (bit blurry and I’m still very dilated). But the crazy thing is the difference in colours between eyes. It’s like my new eye is seeing things with a cool white light shining, whereas my old one is more like a warmer toned light. My cataracts were mild so I didn’t think they were impacting my vision a lot (I decided to fix now as I became intolerant to contacts and hate glasses for sports). I’m 53.

Thanks to so many of you who helped answer questions that I posted on the weekend about how I would deal with one eye fixed, and one eye still blurry. My doc took out the lens in the glasses on the right side - not sure if that will help but I also have a contact I can try.

Thank goodness for the Ativan they gave me as I was a little tense during the procedure. Was in laser room first for a very short amount of time and then in the surgery room for the removal/replacement. The nurses were playing Morgan Wallen so that helped. 4 songs and it was done!!

I’m having my first eye done on Thursday and it will be a week until I have my second eye done. I am very nearsighted (contacts -8.5) so I have no idea how I am going to work it for the week between surgeries.

The key reason for me getting the surgery is because I can no longer tolerate contacts. The cataracts are mild. And I don’t think you’re supposed to wear them that close to surgery anyways. So what did you all do? Do I punch out the glass in the eye that has been fixed? Or squint a lot?

My first world concern is that I’m going to the Bruno Mars concert on the weekend and it would be nice be able to see!
