Question about a flush mount

I have a flush mount fan. I need to attach a down rod. Is that possible? I know there are convertible fans available, but has anyone tried this or have advice? It doesn't have to be a down rod specifically, I just need it to hang about 8 inches. The problem is it's a cathedral ceiling with a 2/12 pitch (so about 9.5° angle), and the fan has to be hung level.

I posted a few days ago about my HVAC unit not working very well (y'all are great!) got a tech out, he only had time to "take a look", said that the TXV was swapped for a piston, and we need to swap it back, said we need to replace that and the airdryer outside. Does that sound right?

R410A system not cooling

I have an IPC r410a system that holds just over 4lbs of refrigerant. It is not cooling very well (about 3° difference in ambient and vent temps). It was making a buzzing noise randomly, the contactor was arcing, we replaced it and the capacitor. We had a leak last year that was repaired. The filters are clean, the coils inside and out are clean, I don't know enough about the HVAC to know if it's low in R410A. Can someone give me some ideas about what I need to check next?

Showering while homeless

I see a lot of homeless posts here unfortunately, and a lot of you give really great advice. A lot of people suggest getting a gym membership for the showers, which I think is a really good idea if you can afford it. But for people who don't have gyms close by, or can't consistently get the money together monthly for that another option is Loves Travel Stops. Their showers come clean, with soap and towels. Also Ask a Trucker: A common strategy among road travelers is to politely ask a truck driver at the fuel island if they have any spare "shower credits". Truckers who fuel up frequently receive these credits for free and often have more than they can use. And I'm sure other travel centers have showers I just know of Loves personally and they are in just about every smallish town in America.

Found Mini figures

I don't know a lot about Mini figures or Legos in general. But we found these in a box in the trash along with about 50lbs of loose bricks (that was a lot of legos!!) we are still sorting them out. Can anyone tell me anything about them?

Beautiful 6-7 week Seal Point Siemens Kitten. He was abandoned by his mother at 4 weeks. He has been hand raised and bottle fed. Just started in dry food. Needs a great home. There is a rehoming fee to ensure that happens. Balch Springs area, willing to meet.
