Good Deal or Pass? 2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L (79k mi) for $24k OTD

2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L
79k miles
1 owner
No accidents reported

Texas vehicle
Open airbag recall (Honda remedy available)
Dealer agreed to $24,000 OTD including taxes/fees.
Is $24k OTD a good buy or should I keep negotiating?

Any good third-party remote pre-purchase inspection companies besides Pomcar / Lemon Squad?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know any good third-party remote pre-purchase inspection (PPI) companies for buying a used car remotely?

I’ve been looking at Pomcar and Lemon Squad, but I keep seeing mixed/negative reviews, so I’m trying to find other options.

Has anyone used any other companies and had a good experience? Looking for real experiences/recommendations. Thanks!

I am buying online from dealer in another state and will get delivery so I like to do PPI before purchase paper work to avoid return and other problem after purchase and finance.

What would you guys do in my situation? $25k for a high-mileage Odyssey doesn’t feel right

We’re looking for a reliable minivan that we can keep for 10+ years. Right now I’m mainly looking at 2018–2020 Honda Odyssey models, but even with 80k–90k miles and clean history/no accidents, the out-the-door price is still close to $25,000.

The issue is that within the next year or so I’ll probably also need to do the timing belt/water pump service and other maintenance. I can’t seem to find lower-mileage Hondas for a reasonable price.

Toyota Siennas are even more expensive, even with high mileage. At the same time, a lot of people online say to avoid Kia Carnival, Chrysler Pacifica, and other minivans long term.

What would you guys do in this situation? Stick with the Odyssey anyway, buy an older Toyota, or consider something else?

Anyone Recently Use Driveway for Both Purchase + Trade-In?

Has anyone here recently bought a car through Driveway and traded in their current vehicle at the same time?

I’m trying to understand how their process works. Is it similar to Carvana/CarMax where they deliver the new car and pick up the trade-in during the same appointment, or are those done separately?

Also, did your final trade-in amount stay the same after inspection/delivery? Would appreciate hearing recent experiences.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I’m currently about 8 weeks pregnant (IVF, Day-6 embryo transfer on March 24, EDD Dec 10).

At my scan around 7 weeks, baby’s heartbeat was 145 bpm and everything looked good.

Today (\\\~8w1d), baby has clearly grown and looks more developed on ultrasound, but the heartbeat measured 93 bpm. My doctor said everything looks good overall and didn’t seem concerned.

I’m just feeling a bit anxious because I’ve read that 93 can be on the lower side for this stage.

Has anyone experienced something similar where the heart rate dropped like this and then normalized later?

Is it possible this could be a one-time measurement issue (angle, timing, machine, etc.)?

Would really appreciate hearing any similar stories or insights 💛
