Unknown 80s Synth Track

Good evening ! After some research into the rare French dubbing of a well-known anime in Japan, to see the censorship done by France, a Japanese song was removed to make way for this music, which absolutely doesn't match the tone of the anime. I don't know if it’s a piece composed in France specifically for censorship, or if it comes from somewhere else. Here's the link : https://voca.ro/12QKJI6Dk0RW

Two of the four "French" Lamu cels (Partially Restored)

- Here are two of the four cels used in France for Lamu. The first one, from episode 86, was used on a VHS in Brazil in 1987, before arriving in France the following year, where it was reused for three VHS releases, a 45 RPM record, posters, and a calendar.

- The second one, from episode 119, was used to illustrate upcoming TV programs, including Lamu, as well as on a VHS release.

Neither of these two cels had ever been seen online in such high quality. The original images had a few minor flaws, which have been partially restored and corrected here. The color levels were also adjusted so that the cels would not appear too bright.

- The restoration was done manually, without the use of AI, and yes, a watermark is present. Please, don’t try to remove it or work around it, the watermark will be removed once the three cels (The fourth cel is, unfortunately, still missing) have been fully restored. This was simply a preview !

French Lamu CD.

Here is the French Lamu CD, titled "Urusei Yatsura/Lamu : Une Anthologie musicale à travers la France" (A Musical Anthology Across France), which I created and designed. It accompanies my upcoming digital book "Urusei Yatsura/Lamu: Une Anthologie à travers la France" which I aim to finish by the end of July (fingers crossed). That book will catalog everything related to Lamu available in France, organized into various categories but I won't say any more than that !

As for the CD, it features all the French musical tracks, divided into four categories : the 45rpm single, songs exclusive to the cassette release, the two story tracks, variations of "La Chanson de Lamu" (the French theme song), and finally, two bonus tracks.

Edit : I almost forgot, this album (which will be available shortly after the digital book, so you’ll be able to print the cover and burn everything onto a CD) will contain new remasters, so they’ll be different from what’s on my YouTube channel.

Lacey's Flash Games CD !

So yeah, I KNOW—people are going to ask, "But... why is it dark when it's supposed to be cute?" Well, because I’m the one calling the shots, haha :> No, seriously though, I just thought this design was cooler. The front was pretty easy to do, but the back was a lot harder—I really wanted something stylish. I’ll do a cute version later on !! (it's not perfect, but i like it)

My HITACHI 2000s camcorder is eating the tapes, and i don't know why.

Hi there! Last July (2025), I managed to get this Hitachi camcorder—along with some other gear (Amstrad, Atari 7800, etc.)—from my grandparents' place. However, my grandmother had warned me that half the stuff in the attic didn't work anymore. After finding the camcorder box, I also had to dig around to locate the charger and battery.

I still haven't actually used it; it takes tapes, and I have two of them. I tried testing one out—it recorded fine at first, but then it stopped, and when I checked the tape, the film had been chewed up. I have only one tape left, and I really want to be able to record memories this summer.

French VHS of Urusei Yatsura (Lamu) "3 Aventures"

Hi! Here's a little beauty that arrived at the house last week ! unfortunately, I didn't have time to take pictures, but now that I can, here are a few !

The top is a biiiit torn, and it's a factory defect sadly, because the cover is pressed down properly at the bottom. Luckily, I scanned it to preserve it in its raw state, and I started a digital restoration/recreation so I can reprint it and keep the original copy safe.

The VHS tape itself is in pretty good condition, there are 3 episodes (hence the name of the VHS, "3 Adventures")

My Small Project : Lamu/Urusei Yatsura, French Preservation.

Good evening, this project (which I am currently carrying out alone, while obviously getting some help) aims to preserve all traces of Lamu (Urusei Yatsura) in France.

Lamu French Preservation - YouTube

For now, on my YouTube channel, (named "Lamu French Preservation") you can find the 45 rpm record ( side A and side B ) of the vinyl album "La Chanson Originale Du Feuilleton T.V" the two exclusive songs in cassette format from the album "Lamu, 4 Chansons" (or just "Lamu" in its first version), as well as the two stories from the album "Lamu, 2 Histoires" (also named 'Lamu" in its first version. If you are confused, I can guide you:

When AB Kids, a label under AB Productions, released these first audio cassettes in 1988, the yellow ones were intended for music, with 4 songs, and the red ones for stories, with 2 stories, before changing the cover to a simpler style, named "(series name) 4 chansons" and "(series name) 2 Histoire".

The covers of the audio cassette and 45 rpm record are displayed while listening to the music (and stories) and have been restored by me (which was not easy) because they are very hard, even impossible to find in HD but with YouTube compression, they nonetheless lose quality, but I am open to sharing them (if credited afterwards). I will also share (in the posts) some restored covers (from VHS, for now, which also unfortunately suffer from YouTube compression, it’s really annoying...)

at the moment, everything related to the music/audio is finished, you will also find playlists on my channel for them. For the video, I sadly CANNOT share any excerpt of the French version, I have it, but it's impossible to share because of copyright from Studio Pierrot and Studio Deen, thank you for your understanding.

Important note : I do not steal content, and I ask for permission before publishing (for certain sources given to me, if they are mine obviously I will not give credit) and I try to offer as much uncommon and rare content as possible, also, the authors, composers, and performers are credited in each description of my videos. Enjoy !

Edit : I also updated the French Wikipedia page for Urusei Yatsura (the series, not the manga) because it was too empty and lacked information. (The synopsis was incorrect and incomplete, there was no mention of the VHS or audio cassettes, and no information about the French voice actors.) There's still a lot of work to do, but I have a notepad full of information (even if sometimes obscure), so I'll update the page from time to time, citing sources to confirm everything.

Can my DVD/VHS player digitize VHS tapes onto a DVD?

Good evening, I will soon receive a rather special and uncommon VHS tape, and I absolutely want to digitize it for my archiving and preservation project, so here it is, my player is an LG DVS7800, but it is impossible to find anything concerning digitizing/transferring VHS tapes to DVD, and even less how to do it...yet there is a "REC" button on the front panel and the remote control.
