my senior citizen relative didn't let me sleep on the bed at her home because i am on my period ?

so she got to know i'm on my period when i discarded pads in the dustbin, she told me to not sleep on the bed, instead she will give me a mat, a old bedsheet and blanket to sleep since i have negative and impure energy inside me 🤡

also today in the morning, she told me to not touch her before taking a bath since i am impure and she also asked me to not touch her religious books and her god idols and murtis since the energies and powers in the idols will get destroyed

literally felt ragebaited but didn't say anything since i'm at her place.

how to survive delhi summer without AC, fan and cooler?

So i came here (not exactly delhi but somewhere nearby) from a place (somewhere near Bangalore) where the temperature was 5-6 degrees lower than delhi + i used to stay there in an AC room all day so the outside temperature did not matter to me. Now since 2 days (have to stay here for 10 more days) there is no AC here (allowed to use just in the night that too for 3-4 hours max because of a sr citizen asthma patient), no cooler (We don't have any) and no fans as well (electricity goes off very frequently everyday because of some technical work).

Since I'm a female, I'm not even allowed to wear shorts or sleeveless tops not even knee length dresses as it is considered too inappropriate here.

This weather is just frustrating me out, I'm literally burning and when electricity goes off, I literally feel so annoyed.

18F my own father told me to join 'prostitution' because i'm not meant for studying just because i asked him for a thin strap top & shorts ?

Will keep it as short as possible, can't share it with my IRLs so sharing it here, i asked my dad for a strappy top and shorts available online on a website.. he just started telling me how i have changed totally, asking for such revealing clothes and how this top won't cover anything and would reveal my shoulders, neck, cleavage and underarms.. also how such clothes are worn by prostitutes or actresses because they earn money out of it, also the generic lesson on how clothes are meant to cover our body and not reveal everything like the top i showed.

Further, I told him politely about how the weather is so hot and other girls of my age wear such clothes then he lost his cool and started telling me to join prostitution and earn money, we'll stop your studies, that work will get you more money if its that hot just get naked like those workers you'll be happy and he started calling me spoiled, male attention seeker, potential s*x worker and what not.

The thing that broke me the most was even after i scored 91% in my 12th boards he is using such language.

i tried being the 'high standard woman' everyone keeps talking about and guess what? i ended up being lonely asf.

So while scrolling social media you guys must have heard about keeping your standards high, never settling for less or being desperate.. I tried it for a month

  1. I stopped contacting people (even my female friends) who don't put in efforts to talk to me or even ask how I'm doing, I ended up talking to no one for the whole day.

  2. Also stopped approaching men completely, even did not give them attention when they tried flirting with me or hitting on me because I know most of them were here just to pass their time or for casual relationships.

  3. Started saying 'NO' to a lot of plans (i prefer spending time alone and my parents are restricting too) ended up staying alone in my room all day.

  4. Stopped putting in efforts in a lot of friendships, I noticed I was the only one who was liking their stories, status, initiating a convo while on the other hand a lot of them did not even care to like my posts or congratulate me on my achievements.

Also tried following the similar things but honestly they did not work for me, I ended up being alone all day, I almost started to feel like I have got no friends, no relationships especially the fact that my close friend who I've known since 2013, even she did not approach me during this 1 month.

Have y'all tried having this 'High Standard Woman' mindset? Is it only me who failed in it?

18F How do I convince my parents to let me wear and buy me short dresses?

So I have this short dress in my wardrobe (a relative gifted it to me) and my dad doesn't let me wear it.. he asks me to wear a leggings with it and honestly it'd look so bad with leggings... He just tells me I should not wear such clothes as it is too attention seeking, people would stare at me. He once even used the R word when I wore a tube top with visible cleavage (Didn't use it directly but said those sex workers wear such type of clothes) Idk how to convince them.. my dad told me to wear them once I start earning and buy such clothes with my own money

I currently use Yardley perfume which i got for ₹600 but honestly it doesn’t last more than an hour+ i also use a body mist and Vaseline lotion before applying yardley and i also use an antiperspirant from chemist at play (underarm roll on) but since i travel to college and I step out for other work as well so i just start smelling bad due to the weather :( I asked my parents for a long lasting perfume which is worth ₹4k… honestly they just asked me to take a bath twice a day and carry pocket perfumes which cost less than ₹100…

Can y’all please suggest something for my budget? I’ve tried Nykaa perfumes as well but they did not last.
