Something new I learned about my Havi

Guess what is reported about Havanese...

"Breeds like Havanese, English Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Maltese and Pugs tend to have lower stamina than other dogs.". Anyone else noticed this?

We've had our Havi just over a year now. I've increased my long walks and brining him with me. By big walks I mean 25-60 minutes instead of 10-12 minutes around the block. The weather has been so nice, but we noticed even though we wait 1-2 hrs after eating, we bring him home after a long walk and within 10 minutes he is vomiting up his last meal. Poor thing. Very interested in hearing from others.

Please send prayers and positive vibes

My 80+ yr old mother is getting her hysterectomy this week because she chose UFE back in her 40s. All was well. No menses after that.

Now, docs say she still has fibroids and she nor they have been able to get her bleeding under control for the last 6 months.

I can't believe this is happening. She's been done for 30 yrs but fibroids finally are making her have this done(after 2-3 docs opinions). I've heard from others this is not unheard of, but man! Fortunately she's pretty healthy overall.

Help!? Which car should we get rid of?

Family member has health issues so we need to get rid of a car... Will also help to save funds and pay off debt. Would love to hear feedback

Car #1 - Subaru Leased, still have 14 months left and not even 12,000 miles on car. Owned and used by me, breadwinner, who drives 16 miles for work per day, 5 days a week. Could keep for low monthly payment, but then what do I do when removal comes along?

Car #2 - Chevy Owned outright by patient whose health has their DL being suspended by doc, no car payments, 13,000 miles on it. Could sell it and get more on the pockets?

Car #3 - Toyota Owned outright by college student with no job, no car payments, 74,000 miles on it. It could die in less than 5,000 miles or could die in another 74,000 miles. Could keep to save money and hope it lasts much longer?

Don't know insurance costs on each individual car, but in NY-NJ-CT-PA area and paying $5,000ish per yr.

Why is fertility friend ignoring my ovulation date again?

This is the second or third month where it looks like an ovulation line should be showing up, but it's not. My ovulation line should be showing up on day 11, 12, or 13, right? Does anyone have any ideas why an ovulation line is not showing up at all? My numbers have risen over more than 3 days and have stayed risen

Samsung help for you and me

I AM SO SAD! My S6 Lite (from 2019 or earlier?) stopped working 2 days ago. Tried every reset, hack, charging cable, etc. only to come across one site that said look for signs on the back of your tablet. Took off the cover and there is battery acid residue on the back, one in a circle and one down the backside. It's toasted! So, coming to you good people for two things:

* This is not shared often, so be sure to keep out for signs of acid on the back, overheating, and bulging on the back of your tablet.

* Since it lasted quite a while I want to get another one but been hearing bad things about the newest Samsungs too. Should I stick with Samsung and get an 11+? (I might just stick with my phone for a while too and get unaddicted to my tablet and save $250-$300.)

Anyone else have hysterectomy after the ago of 80?

Over the age of 80 and my family member started bleeding after being menses free for over 15 yrs. Got all the tests, everything came back negative. Doc said to either do nothing, hope it stops on its own even though it's been 4 months, or get hysterectomy. Estrogen hasn't done anything.

She is choosing hysterectomy after long family talks. Anyone else get it so late in life? Pretty healthy and is more 70 yrs old than 80, so no concerns from her other docs. Anyone?

Can my story help your story? Can you help my story?

Ugh! Here we go again. All this to say I hope somebody learns something from my post and has any feedback or suggestions to share. It's always nice to hear what other docs say too.

In 2022 I had a polyp and fibroid removed , and left two fibroids behind because they were unreachable . Plus a d and c . It really had no effect on my Menses flow or iron deficiency , but it was nice to know that something was done. Ever since my OBGYN office has been trying to pressure me into Mirena IUD and progesterone only pills (POPs). I did try the POP, two different versions, but one made me bleed for 90 days and one made me sick like I had the flu . I now decline any man-made progesterin, and I can't have estrogen because of a previous blood clot and a strong family history of blood clots.

In 2024 I had my doctor agree to a full endometrial ablation to hopefully lesson or stop the bleeding because I now had 5 fibroids and was still needing iron supplements and infusions... I was also educated on the fact that ablation caused doctors the inability to ever test for cancer again in the future, so declined it. Due to other health issues I couldn't go back to see the doctor until 2026, when last week I had another hysteroscopy because lining was 6mm (which I didn't think was concerning) and showing five fibroids still and a new polyp , and the doctor reported one fibroid and the polyp being of concern . She couldn't take a sample of the polyp because it was in a dangerous location so she took a sample for biopsy of the nearby endo tissue . Waiting on biopsy now, and then decisions about next steps. I asked her about bioidentical progesterone in hopes of trying something new but all she kept doing was trying to push the IUD and the POPs. Anyone had bioidentical shrinking their fibroids?

In full disclosure, I still don't want a synthetic progesterin and I just want to wait out until menopause because I'm almost 56 years old . I'm tired of iron supplements and iron infusions because the infusions have started giving me migraine headaches for months at a time . I don't want the IUD because I don't need it causing difficulty with my body as I am very sensitive and have heard stories about it expelling and causing a need for additional surgery, I don't want POPs because of past negative reactions, and I do not believe in hysterectomies unless there is a severe reason to such as the c word or uncontrollable bleeding. Maybe just another D and C?

Any thoughts? Your docs say anything similar or different?

Anyone know of anyone who got hysterectomy at 80 yrs old or older?

I hate not having physical passes anymore

So what happens when u show up and the app isn't working or your internet is glitchy or u don't have a smart phone? Waiting in lines at Guest Relations for an hr or 2 with the other 1000 guests? Insane!!! Do u know there are people out there without smart phones, like flip or brick phones? So much for customer service. Those passes need to come back. It shouldn't fall on the guests. Give us physical passes back!
