Need testers - SpaceJelly predicts whether nearby rocket launches

Hey everyone! I built my very first Android app just for fun and I'm trying to get it onto the Google Play Store. 🚀

SpaceJelly predicts whether nearby rocket launches will create a visible twilight plume in the sky.

Google requires 12 testers for 14 days before launch. If you're down to help test, DM me your Google Play email and I’ll send you the opt-in link!

Pixel Watch 5 Bands?

I ordered the black.

So I'll have Active Band (Black), and Active Sport Band (moonstone).

If you had to choose 3 what would you pick?

  1. Sports/Athletic
  2. Date night/metal
  3. Casual/Comfort/Work

Parents: What restaurant do you kids always clamor to go to when eating out?

For mine it's Mama D's(toy box and cookies), the point, and Manhattan village but looking to branch out 😂

Guess I should have mentioned for "kids under 10"

Selling my XM6 Headphones - AirPods Pro 3 last long enough and are more comfortable

Anyone else in the same boat? I just can't justify them. 8 hours of the AirPods Pro 3 are enough for me.

Microsoft teams + Audeze Maxwell Woes

For the life of me I can't solve this bug.

Only using headphones as an output device.

Windows:

  • Right-click Game - Audeze Maxwell and choose Set as Default Device.
  • Right-click Chat - Audeze Maxwell and choose Set as Default Communication

Teams are set to Speakers Chat.

I can call people fine and hear them. If they call me, I can't hear them, unless I hang up and call them back.

Anyone use the Fitbit Air for tracking? Silicone strap? Bicep strap?

I know you're not supposed to bump on the wrist but sometimes I still use my hand to get out up and I feel it does affect it a little

It seems like every court is in the direct sun from 7:30am - 5pm at least. Just curious if there are any surrounded by trees in the southbay hah!

Paid $70/hr to try to fix my OHBH.

It seemed to help a bit. I was definitely not getting the racket below the point of contact. He said it was at like a 2.7 level while my forehand was a 4.0... I need to work on it more though. It helps a bit hitting against the wall without my left hand and just working on the low to high top spin at low speed.

I was just practicing the motions feeding since I can do this myself

Water Bills going up

The CPUC decision allows overall revenue increases of about 10.9% in 2026, followed by ~4.7% in 2027 and ~5.1% in 2028

"The California Public Utilities Commission recently made a final decision on our 2024 Infrastructure Improvement Plan, which includes planned investments across the communities we serve through 2027 as well as rate adjustments for 2026-2028. These rate adjustments will fund critical water infrastructure projects in your community, such as new pipes, treatment facilities, fire hydrants, pumps, tanks, and more.

Changes to customer bills as a result of our approved Infrastructure Improvement Plan are taking effect today."

What’s Behind the Changes:

Every three years, the California Public Utilities Commission reviews and sets Cal Water’s rates so that they reflect the current, actual cost of operating and upgrading the water system in your area.

The California Public Utilities Commission recently reviewed and approved infrastructure investments that help us deliver on our ongoing commitment to provide safe, clean, and reliable water to our customers, with input from the public advocates, community leaders, and customers, like you.

The newly adopted rates will help cover improvements such as: water quality projects to protect customers from existing and newly regulated contaminants; upgrades to pipes and other infrastructure to keep pumping and delivering water reliably; equipment to keep water flowing during power outages and shutoffs; cyber and physical security improvements to protect employees, customers, and facilities; and water supply initiatives to secure long-term sustainability of water sources.

"Because the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) approved Cal Water’s Infrastructure Improvement Plan, the new, higher rates are taking effect today (July 1, 2026).

Here is exactly what this notice means for your upcoming bills:

  • Your July bill will be the first to reflect the increase: Since the rate adjustments start today, you will see the changes hit on your next bill.
  • The increases will step up through 2028: This approved plan covers rate adjustments staggered across 2026, 2027, and 2028 to fund local infrastructure projects (like upgrading water mains, treatment facilities, and backup power equipment).
  • The exact dollar impact isn't in this email: Cal Water mentions that the specific breakdown of how much your territory's rates are changing was included on the back of your June bill and will be printed on your July bill as well.

If you want to try and offset the rate hike, the email highlights a few conservation programs they offer that are worth looking into—especially their rebates on smart irrigation controllers, the "Lawn-to-Garden" program, and their free basic conservation kits."

Photo Highlights (Ring Road + Southern Coast with 4/6 year old)

5 day stay. Only stayed 2 nights in a farm cottage by Vik. Roads were easy to travel. We rented the cheapest car possible (Hyundai i110 or something). Only got stuck going up a hill once (woops) but I backed down and got more momentum and got back up to the road.

All in all, great experience in the country. Great weather except our last day. Luckily we will made it to 💎 Beach and the Glacier lake with the rain and wind. I was a little worried the wind would blow my car over though! It was intense by Drohaley Cliffs.

Easy park and parka are the only apps you really need (unless you are offroading and need a better idea of the road conditions. To save money I would recommend Bonus/Kronan and cook wherever you're staying. Although it is possible to find some cheap meals if you look hard enough such as Vitabar in reyjavik or Psylurs.

There were midges at the Crater and some falls so it could be worth carrying just in case

Worst part of visiting Iceland was Icelandic Air

Plane delays ("we don't know where it is" ), seats like bricks, wouldn't give us seats by our kids, plane is a oven with poor AC (flying from Europe right now back to Reyjavik), can't use infotainment prior to takeoff, etc

Honestly my 15 hr flights to Asia I've done fun LAX felt faster and more comfortable. We only flew from New York too and it was still bad
