I’m trying to identify what sort of mortar or sealant is used currently when replacing a furnace exhaust pipe into a flue. I know this isn’t code but I’m not a plumber or HVAC guy so IDK what’s currently being used instead of the set up at my house. I’m hesitant to use any sort of mortar or cement (assuming I have to bust it out). I’m hoping I can slide the pipe out and use 3m fire sealant. Any ideas? Thanks!
Anyone ever seen this before while trying to file a claim
For a Ridgid battery? I’ve had a really good experience with filing claims, although I will admit it’s not as streamlined as I think it should be. Plus, they just updated their website so now you have to be issued an RMA which wasn’t the case in the past. I’m not able to file a claim for a single 8ah battery, I’m just getting this error message. Anyone have any insights? I’ll call Monday but I’m just curious if anyone has dealt with this same issue, thanks and Happy Fourth!
Hello all, I’m currently rebuilding my 1988 Isuzu Trooper. My machinist recommended boring the cylinders .040 (1mm) over which I’m fine with seeing as it’s already .020 over and pistons are just hard to find for the 4ZE1 engine in general. My questions is what are everyone’s thoughts on DNJ pistons? I ended up ordering Engine Tech pistons from Pro Engine Builders and they sent me an email stating they didn’t have the Engine Techs in stock and would need to send me DNJs if that was okay. I said I guess I don’t have a choice haha although my other option is ITM pistons from Rock Auto. There wasn’t a huge price different but the ITMs are easily twice as expensive as the DNJs (if that’s telling). My machinist is saying a lot of pistons nowadays are made in Taiwan like the DNJs but I’m not opposed to sending them back if the ITMs are made in USA, which I can’t seem to be able to verify whether or not they are. I don’t mind spending the extra on the ITMs if I need to but if they’re both Taiwanese IDK if I see a point . Just looking for people’s opinions, thanks!

Hello all, I’m currently working on overhauling my 1988 2.6L Trooper and just wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to a website or company they would use to find engine parts such as pistons, seals, bearings, etc. Rock Auto seems to have quite a few parts for the Trooper but I’m open to other suggestions. Hello all, I recently pulled my 4ZE1 out of my 1988 Trooper II (manual transmission) and I sheared this off while hoisting the engine out. I can’t find any sort of diagram or schematic to tell me what it is. I’d venture to guess it’s some sort of vacuum driven coolant temp sensor but I’m not familiar enough with these engines to know. If anyone knows I’d greatly appreciate what the nomenclature is. In the picture is the device with the spring in it which sheared off and was connected to the thermostat housing and the intake manifold via vacuum line.
