"My Dear Friends, is it in the realm of possibility to swap our composition to increase our likelyhood of victory?" Zen Main after dying to Sombra 20 times: FK U REPORTED FOR TOXICITY!!!!
Off angle? Flank? Cooldown Management? Haha minigun go brrr
You can cancel Execution with quick melee now
Also the recovery after using Execution seems faster now. maybe its 0,2 now instead of 0,4 but im not sure
The most fun Heroes to play against are the ones that don't require a specific Counterpick or Archetype (like Hitscan vs Fliers etc.)
I know counters don't matter if your good enough bla bla bla.
However I think everyone can agree that it sucks to be forced to play another Hero that you might not want to play.
Picking Ana against Hog/Mauga, Hitscan vs Phara, Cass against Ball/Flankers etc.
I think the best designed Heroes are the ones where you can play whatever you want.
Like nobody is talking about countering a Soldiet or Rein. Sure they have bad Matchups but nobody feels pressured to immediately swap to Dive or Bastion because they picked those Heroes.
Then you have something like Ball or Doom where people instantly call for Cass or Mizuki because they can be immortal if piloted by a good player.
Same with Phara, like most players aren't Gurkmeister on Junkrat and can snipe her out of the Air. People will tell you to go Hitscan all the time just because they have a Flier like Phara, Cat or Echo.
Counters are fine, its only a problem if it basically becomes rock paper scissors where a certain Hero completely shutsdown another one which thankfully isn't the case in Overwatch.
I still think that Heroes that require less Countering are more fun to play against but thats just my opinion.
I wish nobody the infamous Mercy, Weaver Backline. Not even my worst enemies. Literally a 3v5
Turning show accuracy for execution on after the nerf helped me hit the Ability way more
Previously I didn't feel the need since the bullets were giant.
But then after the nerf I couldn't hit anything anymore.
So I turned on the setting that shows the charge and spread for Execution and it helped me out a lot.
Id recommend trying it out if your having trouble landing good Executions
Legit only the person playing the Hero will notice. Enemies will still feel its bullshit, it just makes the Hero less fun.
Demoted from Dia2 to Plat 3 playing Shion. Vod Review Request
I peaked Dia 2 last season with Reaper, I know he was Op so maybe Im boosted. I dropped Reaper for Shion cause she feels more flexible and fun.
However lately im losing my mind. I feel like im playing decent or even good, but its not enough to hard carry. If im not 100% sweating my ass off im gonna lose.
I watched the Replay i attached and the first Attack went pretty well until 3rd point.
Then we had a Doom vs Orisa and it was really hard to push 3rd on Kings Row. THere are basically no flanks and I couldnt find good angles and kill the enemies fast enough before they respawned.
Then on defense 1st point it went well until a Soj was behind us. My Mei chased her, then my Kiri Tpd to her and my Mizuki also was looking for the Soj.
My Ram had 0 healing and just exploded against the Orisa. Not really his fault tbh.
I got a trade kill on the enemy Ana and Orisa but died.
Then it all fell apart. They capped point, my Mei died during Ult, then my Ram died in Ult and I could only distract the Ana for a while.
We got rolled and I died a few more times then which are my fault tbh, but the Skill Gap in Teams made me think it was unwinnable anyways.
Kings Row isnt really good for Flankers so maybe I should have swapped, but i wanted to learn Shion.
Stats dont matter I know but I had most Dmg in my Team, most Elims, least amount of Deaths.
So I dont think I was playing THAT bad
Replay Code: KDEZWJ
Battletag / in-game username: SureYouCan
Hero(es) played: Shion
Skill tier / rank: Plat 3, Demoted from Dia
Map: Kings Row Loss
PC or console: PC
I love being forced to run Hog, Sombra, Cass, Mizuki, Ana so we can have a chance to kill the Raidboss. I love when a Hero forces me to play something I dont like.
Play Mercy if you think she is fun, but dont cry about your Team in Chat when you are playing the Sup that relies on their Teammates the most.
Its gonna be Sombra in Bronze - Plat and Dva in Dia - Top500
Faces of Death isn't good. Just because it seems like 3 in 1
All of those Passives ONLY help you when you are already in a winning scenario.
Faster Reload only AFTER a kill. Aka you are likely in a 5v4 fight and winning already. The extra Reload won't make that much of a difference when Reloads are usually 1.5 secs. which is very fast already.
What about the Cooldown upon Headshots? Well it scales with the dmg done. So if you hit 1 tiny pistol bullet in the head the Cooldown will barely be affected. Also only useful if you have the Aim for it and most Player's can't even hit a Phara. People are acting like she will blink around like Tracer after hitting 1 Headshot.
Then the Recon Perk. She has to hit you below half Hp. Which again means that she has hit several abilities to get you low enough for the Effect to trigger. I heard so many Recon mains say that their passive was useless.
Overall those 3 Effects are just a "win more" rather than a "help you win"
Ana can Headshot 2 tap people, Bastion can Self heal and shoot Explosives across the map. But surely 3 Passives in 1 must be better than 1?!?!?
If you actually use critical thinking you would understand that More ≠ Better
If you actually think that Perk is op pls tell us your rank. Im not rank shaming but I highly doubt anyone above Plat thinks the Perk is Op or will get removed/nerfed.
Time to wait 20 Min in Dps Q to run over some Clankers and Grandma's
Since we are still waiting for Shion's Gameplay Trailer Im trying to predict her Kit
Primary: Fires her pistols alternating between them. Accurate but slower rate of Fire.
Secondary: Fires both Pistols simultaneously for strong close range dmg. Lot of falloff and some spread.
Ability 1: Lunges forward with her Knife, Enemies hit are slowed for 1 second and a debuff is applied. Shooting Enemies with the Debuff causes them to explode for Bonus dmg and also damaging anything around the target. The lunge can't be used to gain vertical Height. It can be followed up by a kick tho after stabbing a target.to create distance between herself and the opponent.
Ultimate: Cyberpsycho: Gain Increase Movement Speed and Jump Height. Lunge Ability has a drastically decreased Cooldown during the duration and her Pistols become powered up during the Duration.
Other possible Ult: She rides a motorcycle into Enemies which will explode upon contact. Can be destroyed like Junkrats Tire.
Idk how this Ult would work given that most Overwatch maps aren't designed to drive a Vehicle around. Im guessing it would get stuck on a lot of things and be really frustrating to control. Junk can climb walls with his tire, but a motorcycle obviously would be much harder to implement. Unless its like Dva Bomb. I think it was mainly just a cinematic thing.
Locke feels a bit like Pre Rework Naafiri to me after trying him on Pbe
Im not sure about his optimal Combos yet, but a lot of his dmg are in hitting all 3 Nails.
Similar to old Naafiri who basically did 0 Dmg if you missed your Qs.
Firing all 3 Nails takes some time in which other Assassins already blew up their targets 2 times over. Its especially hard against Adcs who get speed up by their sups and Items, or other Assassins like Zed or Akali who can just run Circles around him.
I like that he seems to have more Counterplay but im not sure if he will end up more of a Sylas type Skirmisher than an Assassin.
Its too early to tell and Its just my first impressions
