Ryan Gilbert for Kansas 4th Congressional District - to unseat Ron Estes

It seems most are aware of Chris Carmichael, but there is another candidate running for the US 4th congressional district against Ron Estes who is arguably more progressive.

His name is Ryan Gilbert.

Just a celeb popping in to remind us plebs that we are doing healthcare all wrong

Oh you had to wait months to see your physician and then fight with your insurance to get prior authorization for an MRI? And then you had to wait weeks to even get scheduled? And then you had to wait another 2-3 months to even get the MRI? Must suck to be poor! You should be rich and get a private MRI like Mindy. Be proactive, not reactive - dummies!

Who needs enemies when you’ve got managers like this

Pink is my coworker (wound nurse) and blue is our DON. DON didn’t want to carry the scheduling phone this weekend to give our scheduler a break, so she proceeded to ask in the group chat who was going to take it this weekend. The only person considerate enough to even respond to her was met with a reply about how the DON’s family being in town is more important than her sick dog.

“Public deserves to know”: Harvard Professor says official messaging contradicts hantavirus science

Wanted to share as I’ve seen a lot of people on the sub mentioning that the spread of the virus requires close, prolonged contact. This is contradicted by studies from previous outbreaks of the Andes virus that show it spreads fairly easily by brief exposure - as mentioned in the video. He does make a point to say that he still believes risk to the public is low, but the messaging on how the virus spreads is misleading.

I realized today when I got an email about dietary recommendations from our dietitian that the name assigned to her email is “Dr.”

Her signature has DHSc, so I looked into it and it’s a Doctor of Health Science.

This is the first time I’d ever seen a registered dietitian refer to themselves as a doctor.

Is this a new Noctor?

Not sure if this has been shared before or not. I completely forgot I had saved this.

This is **not my video**. It is a Snapchat video that was posted locally after Andover was hit. I cut out the name of the Snapchat owner for their privacy.

I live about five miles from where this hit. Video shows the damage done to the Andover YMCA. It’s amazing nobody was seriously injured or killed as this hit right when people were off work and going to the gym.

We drove by the next day and there were cars thrown into the building and looked like nothing I’d ever seen before. The Andover YMCA did not open again until 2024.
