How do you lose weight when you have absolutely no motivation or consistency?

I’m 29F, around 69–70 kg, and I really want to lose weight. The problem is that I cannot seem to stay consistent with anything.
I’ll look at photos of myself, feel unhappy with how my body looks, get motivated and decide that I’m finally going to eat properly and work out… and then a few days later I’m back to my old habits.
I know exactly what I should be doing. I know about calorie deficits, protein, exercise, etc. But knowing what to do and actually doing it consistently are two completely different things for me.
Some days I genuinely have zero motivation to go to the gym. I’ll tell myself I’ll start tomorrow, then tomorrow becomes next week. When I do start dieting, I tend to think I need to be extremely strict, which makes it harder to sustain.
I really want to lose weight and become more toned, but I feel like my biggest problem isn’t knowledge — it’s discipline and consistency.
For people who have been in this position and actually managed to turn things around:
What finally made you consistent?

Female, thinning hair and widening part. What products actually helped you regrow hair?

I’m a woman in my early 30s and I’ve noticed my hair getting thinner over the past several months, especially around my center part and crown. My braid also has less thickness, but my scalp is becoming more visible and it’s starting to worry me.
I’ve tried regular coconut oiling, but I haven’t seen much improvement. I’m looking for product recommendations that genuinely helped with:
Hair thinning
Widening part line
Hair density and regrowth
Reducing shedding
I’m particularly interested in:
Hair oils (rosemary, Mielle, etc.)
Serums
Shampoos and scalp treatments
Supplements that made a noticeable difference
If you’ve experienced similar thinning and actually saw results, what products worked for you and how long did it take?
I’d also appreciate knowing what didn’t work so I can avoid wasting money. The beauty industry seems determined to convince us that every bottle contains liquid wizardry.

I’m looking for some perspective on something that happened recently.

For Vishu, I made payasam at home and we also ordered a full sadhya since we had guests over. While serving food, I mentioned that my payasam should also be served along with everything else.

In front of everyone, my husband joked, “Don’t serve your payasam with this ordered sadhya… it’s low class.”

Everyone kind of brushed it off as a joke, but I felt really hurt and embarrassed in that moment. I had put effort into making it, and hearing that in front of guests didn’t sit right with me.

Later, when I told him I felt bad, he did apologize. But he also said he was surprised I got hurt and explained that where he’s from (Kannur), this kind of teasing is very normal and not meant seriously.

Now I’m confused. I understand people joke differently based on background, but this didn’t feel like harmless teasing to me, especially in front of others.

Am I overreacting here? Or is this something I should address more seriously?
