What are the shortcomings of Twenty? If you switched from it, why?

Twenty is an open source CRM with about 55k stars on Github.
Their website mentions the features and how good it is.

I am also interested to know what it can't do and its shortcomings.
If you tried it and didn't like it, why and what turned you off from using it.

Why does Copilot in Visual Studio keep switching to the history of chats?

Why does Copilot in Visual Studio keep switching to the history of chats?
After sending a prompt or after a Visual Studio restart, Copilot shows a list of chats and I have to click 'Back'. This didn't happen before.

Why is Copilot in Rider not querying the database?

I am troubleshooting an issue that requires querying a database.
I have prompted Copilot to query the database to get a better context of the data and therefore to do better investigation.

I have enabled select functionality for AI tools. Rider is connected to the database through the 'Connect to database' option under Tools.

However, Copilot keeps giving me SQL statements to run myself and provide it with the results, which is time consuming.

I asked it why it's not querying the database itself and the response was
"I also cannot query your dev database directly from this session. I only have read access to the repository files; no database connection, credentials, or SQL execution capability is exposed. That is why I inferred the schema from the code instead of querying the live data.".

Are there other settings I need to enable? What am I missing?

Why does SSMS revert to Cool breeze color theme when it starts

I keep setting the color theme to dark in SSMS 22.8.1 and whenever it starts, it gets reset to the default cool breeze color theme and I have to set it back to dark.
Is this a bug, or is it me only?

Lost my Datagrip connections because I told the installer to delete the prior version settings

I had Datagrip 2026.1 and during the installation of 2026.2 I checked the boxes for removing the 2026.1 settings and cache. I ended up with a 2026.2 installation with my database connections all gone! I thought it was going to create new 2026.2 settings folders with the existing 20.26.1 settings and THEN delete the 2026.1 folders.

That didn't happen which is infuriating. The installer later gives an option to import settings from Rider or VS Code. If the installer is trying to be helpful by importing other IDEs settings, it could have done something similar and suggested importing prior version settings.

At least there should have been a warning that deleting old settings folders will mean they won't get imported to the next version.

Do blend modes need to be in their own steps for the TM7 to be able to take action? When creating a recipe.

I created my first recipe a few days ago using the online recipe editor. In the first step it had instructions to add some ingredients and a blend step. However, on the TM7 after adding the ingredients and checking them off, the blend mode step didn't have the TM7 show the start button for the blend action to take effect. The blend step looks like a real blend step. I had to start it manually by entering the speed and duration.

I have other blend steps as independent steps, and those worked fine where the TM7 was able to blend on its own.

Do blend steps need to be separate steps and not mixed with other steps, or is there a gotcha I am missing?

If you're jotting down notes outside of the CRM, why aren't you doing it inside the CRM?

I have seen people use apps like Word, OneNote, Excel and other note taking apps for taking notes outside of the CRM. What's your use case and why aren't you doing it inside the CRM? Is the CRM software lacking a notes section?

Why is a Zoho page showing in Arabic?

I am in the US and trying to register with my Google account for the CRM. After clicking on the Google login option and authenticating with Google, I get this page, which is in Arabic. After clicking the button everything after that is in Arabic.

I deleted all the Zoho cookies before opening the Zoho page.
Why is it showing pages in Arabic!?

What are people using to record a call and get it transcribed and summarized back into the CRM?

If you're making a call to a regular phone number in the US, how is the call getting recorded, transcribed and summarized back into the CRM? Is a VOIP system or a dialer being used?
Is Whatsapp being used?

I am asking about the recording part in particular when making a regular phone call. I know once a recording has been captured, voice to text and AI can do the transcribing and summarization. Does the CRM have like an api to receive the text including the metadata, so it knows where to place it?

Is there a way to jump to the scale function in the middle of the recipe?

A recipe I am using wants me to weigh vegetables without giving me the steps for it.
Is there a way to use the TM7's scale to do weighing for me and go back to where I was in the recipe?

Recipes duplicated many times and in the same language

I posted here a few days ago about how filtering the so called 100,000 recipe collection to English only, no other filters, it went down to about only 12% of the collection. It seems even within this much smaller collection, recipes can have duplicates. Even that 12% is actually smaller if the duplicates are removed.
Search for 'Couscous with Lamb and Vegetables' and you get the same recipe six times! Because of this, the ratings are meaningless because they got from 2.7 to 4.3. Unless you want to do the math yourself.

This is the sloppy work.. Thermomix! Clean up the collection.

Also this couscous recipe wants me to cut and weigh the vegetables without using the device. One of the reasons I got the TM7 is for it to do all the weighing for me.

Would you use a CRM Windows desktop app if it were free and ready to go with a single-click install?

Most of the CRM software is web-based. There are some free open source ones like EspoCRM. Some companies shy away from them because they require IT skills, monitoring, maintenance, backups, which are hassle or expensive for small companies.

If you're a solo CRM user or a small company with a few users, would you use a free desktop CRM software if it were as easy to install as any desktop app? If you're the only user, the app and the database will be on your computer. If you were a company, each user will have it installed on their work computer. The database can be hosted anywhere. A computer in the company with no hosting fees, or hosted in the cloud (Azure or AWS) or hosted at a hosting company with as little as $5 for shared hosting with backups. This option will be Windows only, so no Mac or Linux.

There will also be a web based version with the same features.

But I am inquiring right now about if there's interest in the desktop version if it means it's hassle-free to install, host and use. It's free as well.

The business model is making money from advanced customizations.

Even with using only the English language filter, the number of recipes is fewer than 14,000. Not even close to 100,000

I had posted a few days ago inquiring about why I was getting fewer than 4000 recipes. Replies mentioned checking the filters. The only filter I have now is the English language filter, and the number went up to 13,550 recipes. Although that's quite a number to choose from, I feel that's still nowhere close to 100,000.

I don't know if the rest of the recipes are just translations of the English ones or if they're actually unique ones; either way, I feel advertising there are 100,000 recipes feels like false advertising.

When you read that there are 100,000 recipes, you're thinking there are 100,000 recipes. Right?
You're not thinking that they must be in different languages and are duplicates and that's why there are 100,000.

If many recipes are unique to other languages, I wonder why there are no translations for them.

Any CRM software that has built-in no code/low code features for adding new functionalities?

I know there isn't one CRM software that does everything and satisfies every business' needs.
Are there CRM software that have a way to add a new feature for non-technical end users? For example, a visual form designer that can map to a custom database, a way to add validations visually, or defining a workflow visually? A way to design a report for everyone to use.
So basically extending the capabilities of a CRM in different ways without the need to go to the CRM developer to add them.
Similar to how no-code/low-code tools work, but they are inside the CRM.

If there's AI for adding new features and the AI does all the work, that would be great, but I don't think we're there yet.

Any recommendations for small business CRMs that have these types of add-it-yourself capabilities?

UPDATE: I am asking this question not as me needing a crm solution for myself. I am a software developer and asking to see if I can develop a highly customizable crm solution through low or no code where someone in the company can add new features themselves.

Why am I seeing a lot fewer than 100,000 recipes on Cookidoo's site?

Thermomix's website advertises that they have 100,000 recipes. Why am I seeing only 3139 recipes?
I am in the US so I am guessing other languages and countries are filtered out?
I would still assume I should still be seeing a lot more than 3139 recipes.

Also, are the recipes on the TM7 the same as online if someone is logged in to both using the same account? I prefer to search and pick a recipe online instead of on the device.

What's the best design/infrastrucre to have an app on multiple Windows machines and no cloud or on prem server?

A small company with no IT person wants to have a desktop app used by several people where the data is saved somewhere central but not on the cloud. I know that a client/server solution can be done where a database like SQL Server can be installed on a server machine at the company.
Let's assume this is still too complicated for them to set up and they can't bring in someone to set it up for them.

If a simpler solution is needed so that all they have to do is install the app on the machines and it's ready to be used. Their data needs to be saved somewhere central. Is a good solution designating one of the machines the one that will hold the database for everyone and be on all the time?
The desktop app will be developed in .NET. I am looking for a simple solution that doesn't require any technical knowledge for them to maintain the system.

Chrome extension for sharing notes on Cookidoo's website

This is a free Chrome extension for reading and posting notes on Cookidoo's website. No logging in is required.

Notes are shared with others who have the extension installed. Notes can be private to you only.

You can also search 11,000 recipes in the database by rating and rating count. Any recipe that's not in the database will be added to the database once it gets a note.

This is an automatic way to add recipes to the database.

A new icon is displayed next to the recipe's rating. Click it for the notes/search panel to show up.

Enjoy.
