Seeking advice for pelvic floor strengthening and diastasis recti

Hi all. I (35 M) was recently diagnosed with diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia. The separation is in my upper abdomen and about 4 cm wide. The umbilical hernia is small, about 1.8cm. I had both confirmed at a doctor's office via abdominal ultrasound.

The reason I'm seeking advice is because surgery to fix it is just out of the question for probably the next few years. My wife and I have a 10 month old son, and she is due to return to work after a year of maternity leave in October. That will leave me as the primary caregiver for our son (I'm medically retired so I don't have to work). The doctors said that recovery from the surgery would take at least three months, and it would be at least four to six weeks before I could safely lift our son. He's heavy, hyper, and needs a lot of physical playtime. My wife can't work and manage his needs simultaneously, so at this point it's up to me to look at managing/fixing my issues.

Hopefully this is where you all can give me some help. My diastasis recti comes from years of chronic constipation and straining in the bathroom. I'm almost sure I've got a pelvic floor issue on top of the diastasis (full but drooping erections, takes a few squeezes when peeing to empty my bladder, etc). I'm looking for as many free resources as I can get my hands on about pelvic floor and abdominal exercises that help with both issues. Are there any programs, books, or apps out there that you would recommend for me to look at in order to start strengthening things back up?

Cheers for any advice!

Beginnings of my Kill Team

Hey all! Got started on a Red Corsairs Kill team. Figured I'd post up some pictures of the progress so far. As of right now, there's a former Space Wolf Butcher, Fallen Icon bearer (still gotta sculpt the banner), and a former AL plasma gunner with the obligatory bionic arm. Still gotta put together the Champ, Heavy Gunner, and Balefire Acolyte. The Champ will be an Astral Claw, but I'm looking for suggestions on where the other two should come from!

Kill Team butcher kitbash, need input!

Here's a WIP butcher for my Kill Team! Had fun putting him together. Only thing I can't figure out is what should I put on his chest? My initial idea was to sculpt a mark of Khorne but after three attempts I had to concede that my green stuff skills aren't quite there as far as sculpting something so small. If anyone has a good tutorial for small green stuff symbols/details, send me a link! Maybe I should just do a bandolier instead? Lemme know what you think!

VA Crisis line is useless, I need a professional to talk to

Hey all. So, long story short, I live in Japan with my wife and 9 month old son. A month ago, my parents called me and told me my sister had committed suicide. I flew home three weeks ago for the funeral and stayed with my parents during that time, but now I'm back here and I feel like I'm losing my mind. I don't really have friends here, mental health services in Japan are an absolute joke, and I'm trying to raise a baby and do the dad/husband thing while also working through the fact my sister shot herself (with one of my firearms, no less).

I reached out to the VA crisis line while I was home, they assured me they'd reach out and put me in contact with a professional counselor, and I haven't heard anything from them. I reached out again and they said their international support team (In Transition) has been trying to call me but can't for whatever reason. Go figure the VA can't figure out how to dial a phone number with one extra digit and a different country code. So, here I am up shit creek with no paddle.

Does anyone have a resource I can reach out to that offers professional grief and loss counseling for US citizens living overseas? I know how the veteran community is, and I know a lot of people are going to say "you can talk to me if you want." I genuinely do appreciate that, but I need a professional to talk to. This is crushing me and causing an actual identity crisis, and I feel like between juggling being a new parent, living in a different country with no social network, and my sister dying I'm gonna snap.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Grief/loss counseling

Hey all. To cut right to it, I'm in desperate need of a counselor that either specializes in or has experience with grief and loss. I found out yesterday that my sister committed suicide. To say I'm still in shock is the understatement of a lifetime. I'm having a really, really hard time processing it, and my support network here in Japan doesn't extend outside of my wife, her immediate family, and a single friend I have that lives in Tokyo (I'm in Hirakata). It doesn't have to be an office visit or anything, I'm fine with telehealth. I just really need a professional to talk to, and it seems like the only counseling services here in Japan are for marital and relationship issues. Thanks for any help.

[H] $ [W] Dark Angels/Space Wolf/Blood Angel bits [Loc] Japan

Hey all, putting together a Red Corsairs Kill Team and I'm in need of some bits. I'm trying to make 1x Red Wolf, 1X Blood Angel, and 1x Fallen operative, but finding bits here in Japan is a nightmare. Honestly not sure if it would be cheaper to just buy full kits rather than buying individual bits and paying international shipping, but I figured I'd post here and ask just in case. Let me know if you've got a bits bin with some DA and SW stuff in it!

Cheers!

Anyone in Japan and know where to get bits?

Hey all! I moved to Japan recently and I've come to find out the 40k community here is super small. It's also been difficult finding sources for 40k bits. My favorite part of the hobby is kit bashing, and I'm currently working on a custom Kill Team, but I've pretty much hit a brick wall for bits sourcing. Short of buying full kits for the 1-2 bits I need here and there and letting the rest of the pieces collect dust, I'm really not sure what to do.

Is there a bits supplier anyone could recommend? Or failing that, a JP 40k community/discord I could look to? I saw a JP 40k community here in Reddit but it appears to be completely dead.

Cheers for any help!

Kill team noob - Making Legionaries out of possessed models

Hey all! My buddy and I decided to get into Kill Team recently and I wanted to ask for some advice. I've decided to run the Legionaries kill team, but I don't want to go out and buy yet another kit when I have quite a pile of shame in my hobby closet I need to get through. I've got quite a bit of Chaos stuff saved up, I thought Possessed would make for a super thematic Chaos team, and I happen to have two boxes of them that are as of yet untouched plus one of each Greater Possessed models. All that said, I'll be using them as a base to make my team, so I wanted to ask a few questions here about how best to proceed.

First off, how important is WYSIWYG when it comes to operatives? For now it's just my friend and I playing at home, but in the future I might want to bring my team down to the local shop to play in organized games. My main concern is using the Greater Possessed as either an Aspiring Champion or Chosen. Would his giant claws be acceptable for a Demon Blade or Power Weapon? Or would that not fly? Basically how strict is WYSIWYG in organized play?

Second, as I have yet to play a game, do you have any suggestions for a team setup? Not really sure which would be better between the Chosen and the Aspiring Champion. Is one better than the other? If so, why? For the rest of the team, I was thinking Balefire Acolyte, Icon Bearer, Anointed, and either a Flamer or Plasma Gunner. What should I fill for the last slot, and do the rest sound okay? In general I play aggressive close combat armies in 40k, so I'd like to do the same here and rely on shooting as little as possible.

Any advice is appreciated!

Curious about your experiences with gear droprates by role

I'm in a raiding guild that has been clearing all P1 raid content pretty much since it was doable, and we just managed our first guild clears of SSC and TK. We have three ten man teams and one core 25 man team.

That said, between all of the raids we have ran, we all felt like we were experiencing very similar drop rates in concern to healer Vs tank Vs DPS gear. In short, healer and tank gear out the ass while DPS gear is a rarity. We went back through our loot logs and sure enough healing/tank items have been dropping between 3x-4x the rate of DPS loot off of our bosses. Some items we still haven't seen at all despite clearing raid content every single week (DST, Brute Cloak of the Ogre Magi, Ring of 1k Marks to name a few).

Was curious if anyone else has been experiencing this surplus of healer/tank loot? Or have you all had an eventful spread? For us, there's a 100% verifiable skew towards healer and tank drops over DPS gear.

Hey all! Put together this little B3 Yurlok deck for a FNM this week. This'll be my first time running him, so I was hoping for a little help from the community before game night. I've added tags to everything to hopefully help y'all visualize the strategy for it. Essentially, I'm trying to force bad decisions, make lands a painful thing to own, hand out extra mana/damage with Yurlok, and stack up enough ramp effects to hopefully mana dump into a big spell or two to take everyone out. I guess my questions are:

Are there any cards you think I 100% need to include that aren't present?

Is there anything you think I could remove in favor of something different?

Should I add more card draw?

I've got room for one more game changer. Should I put in another? If so, which do you think would synergize best?

Cheers for any help!!
