Keith Self told NewsNation that his main electoral contest is normally the primary, but this year he is running a strong general-election campaign.

“I’m really not running against my opponent. I’m running against a general environment,” he said, citing unease over gas, groceries and Iran.

Evan Hunt argued that Republicans have held power too long to blame others for voters’ frustration. He also renewed his debate request, which NewsNation put directly to Self.

Avelo’s McKinney operation will be more than flights arriving and leaving. The airline plans to keep aircraft overnight at the airport, with mechanics maintaining them on the apron.

McKinney just approved additional support space for that operation, along with Enterprise rental cars and the terminal’s first food concession.

One part of the city’s recall update that stood out: City Secretary Empress Drane specifically said the initial acceptance of the petition did not mean the petition itself was valid.

The city is now checking more than 7,400 submitted signatures against voter-registration records. It needs 5,805 valid signatures to move forward.

Four McKinney officials are facing a possible recall election, including Mayor Bill Cox. Organizers say at least 6,500 signatures passed their internal review before the petitions were submitted.

Now the responses are getting sharper.

Council member Justin Beller:

“I will never forget how pathetic Keith looked when he stood at our podium. Fear and outrage are the tools of weak men.”

Former Mayor George Fuller is making a different argument, saying residents should examine the dates and voting records behind the allegations. Evan Hunt says he'll publicly oppose the recall if it reaches an election.

Frisco City Council approved a three-year expansion of Placer.ai 4–2.

The city says it uses the service regularly for event attendance, visitor origins, Stonebriar analysis and economic development. But council members had questions about where the underlying location data comes from and what happens to it.

What hasn't been released is an exact count for each of the four petitions.
