20. Everything feels hollow and pointless

so much shit is going on right now. for context, I'm a queer living in a Muslim country, and am going abroad for uni soon. on top of being indecisive about my future career, I'm being driven insane by the fact that I'll need to come out soon, to rip the bandage off and to live my life somewhat freely. I feel like I'm being torn in half. I love my family more than anything, and thinking about them cutting me out makes everything feel hollow and meaningless.I don't believe in Islam, but even assuming I could convince my mom that I have a valid stanxe, which is likely impossible, even if I could, it would just make her deeply unhappy because how much Islam means to her. I love my culture but it's caused me so much pain. I'm considering just ending it all. I'm not going to be happy in this life anyway, so might as well

Anyone come out to their family and still have a relationship with them?

I was wondering if anyone here had come out to their families, and if so, did thye not cut you off. I'm scared of coming out to mine, I really don't want to lose them, but I'm worried that it would be impossible not to because of it being illegal here

How to deal with loss of family after coming out?

this question is most targeted towards older queers. my family is extremely religious, and queer phobic, full "trans and gays are pedos" mindset. I'm going to have to come out one day, for my sake and theirs, but I really, really, really don't want to lose my family. thinking about it makes me want to cry. how did you all deal with the loss, especially as you got older?

Are their masc woman into femme guys, generally?

hey. i was just wondering how common gnc relationships are in the day to day. i grew up in an area that was extremely patriarchal and gender role heavy, and moving out made me realize i'm really femme. i'm still straight though, but attracted to masculine women, so i'm wondering how easy it would be for me to find someone who would be into me who would also be my type, since i don't have a natural sense for how common these kinds of relationships are

Can a lawyer get work in a new country easily enough?

i'm about to start my undergrad, and am considering law school after my bachelors. but because of things in my personal life, i'm not quite sure what country i'll be living in after i graduate. my question is, if i get a law degree and pass the bar exam in one country, is it that difficult to find work if you moved to a different one? do you need to retake the bar exam, do you only need to pass it in one, or does it depend on where you're going to and coming from?
