Claude bot, finally lost a trade

Hey folks, I recently set up a claude MCP connector to the robinhood platform in order to trade. First 2 weeks were straight butter, and claude could not be stopped. Then he had a losing day for first time in his 3rd week last week.

I am giving full transparent updates and not trying to hide any of the progress or trades it makes on TQQQ and SQQQ. You can find all of the previous week posts in this sub as well if you look around.

note: I only got to perform 1 trade day last week with my bot because I was out for vacation during the 4th of july weekend. The 1 trade it made was a losing trade so week 3 goes down as a loss unfortunately.

I will be spinning him up every day again this coming week as I will have more time to keep an eye on things. I still don't fully trust him yet, but he is slowly giving me confidence.

strategy: I trade TQQQ and SQQQ only and make 1 trade per day. its simple and straight to the point. we try to ride the daily momentum one way or other after morning breakouts.

what type of bots are yall building and trying to make work?

claude algo bot, 2 weeks ALL WINS

Hey folks, I am back with fresh trading data after the end of last week. Keeping everyone updated on its progress as I go. I am now on week 2 of my claude algo trading bot and its going great so far. I am becoming convinced slowly that this is a legit strategy, but still skeptical a bit as im only done with 2 weeks so far, and going into week 3 tomorrow.

How it works: I try to just trade TQQQ and SQQQ and get it right each day. if i get it wrong i stop for the day.

day 1: buy TQQQ

Day 2-9: buy SQQQ only and 2 days skipped due to filter rules of 1.5% overnight gap

I set up a custom ruby script that runs my algorithm using candle data and then it writes signals to a file that I have wrapped in a process by claude. It could definitely be improved but claude MCP to robinhood got me up and running quickly. I had the entire thing built and backtested in 1 day after chatting with a buddy at dinner the night before about the strategy to use.

anyways, im definitely still learning, but this is so much fun and a great learning journey!

what type of bot strategies are yall using to scalp profits each day?

SEO im getting decent at this

I started a new financial trading app 2 months ago and I'm starting to see uptick in SEO! Finally starting to get ranked for some legit keywords too! I was the #1 natural SEO keyword hit for "agentic trading competition" as well for a week or so. I am now falling around 3-5 though usually for that search.

I have spent a lot of time optimizing SEO and GEO on my site and have started getting some A+ or 90+ rating from the SEO grading AI sites out there that scan your site and help you improve.

what tips and tricks have yall noticed helped the most?

main battle im fighting now is getting good backlinks out in the wild

Claude algo bot week 2, 100% wins

Ok folks, Im back with more updates to share on my journey of building out an agentic trading bot. I use claude MCP connector and wire it up to the robinhood BETA program for agentic trading. it gives a seperate little account you can track, its selected at the top nav "Agentic".

So far it has won every single day it has traded, but I have a pretty simple system which is helping I think. It only places 1 trade per day and tries to get it correct. Either TQQQ or SQQQ and uses good risk management to retain winners.

Day1: TQQQ

Day2: SQQQ

Day3: SQQQ

Day4: It sat this day out because overnight market gapped 1.5 (a custom rule i made to filter chaos days)

Day5 (today, BEST % so far): SQQQ +2.33%

I am absolutely addicted to this agentic bot stuff, but I absolutely love it. If you haven't started I highly recommend it, its very easy to do. More than happy to point you in the right direction if you are stuck.

BACKTESTING RESULTS (half in sample and half out of sample, averaged):

annualized return: 45%

max drawdown: 6.6%

sharpe ratio: 2.07

help with backlinks

Hey folks, I am pushing hard on my SEO after building an idea that works super well. I have no idea how to get backlinks to improve my SEO scores overall. I really need domain authority score increased.

I know SEO is a long slow war, but I want to put my best foot forward as quickly as possible. this means i need to somehow get links in solid articles/blogs somehow.

I paid fatjoe and rhino to try and get a backlink. no idea if either will pull through. If anyone knows anyone good at this with solid results I would love to be put in touch!

I recently went down the rabbit hole and have almost perfect SEO / GEO metrics from most scanners i look at. thetapal.com

only thing left seems to be this backlink stuff

GOOG Golden cross coming? EMA crossover soon

Hey folks, I have been keeping an eye on GOOG to try and grab another good entry so I can start wheeling a few hundred shares and selling calls.

Currently selling PUTs around $350, and wouldn't mind owning the shares at that price. you can make good money selling the calls.

They own a piece of anthropic, and claude/fable is just the cat daddy right now. I got to use Fable for like 1 day before it was shut down and boy it was powerful. So i see now way GOOG is a loser 5 years out from here.

Claude MCP Robinhood, trailing stop?

Hey folks, I recently setup claude MCP connector in my claude max subscription to trade with a toy robinhood account here for kicks. I call it my "trading battle bot", its honestly hella addictive now that I have started this journey.

Anyways, Im 1 week in but im trying to figure out how you all do you "stop loss" type orders on your agentic bots?

From what ive learned: you can't currently set a true "trail stop loss" order as I normaly do in thinkorswim on schwab brokaerage. I think robinhood has these though but not supported for agentic trading yet because its in BETA still. this was released recently I believe.

My hacky solution: I have a tight loop that look at prices and if it goes up, i then cancel my stop loss and just move it up maually. this results in lots of tiny place/cancel orders on the stop loss as price goes in my favor. Is this a reasonable solution yall think or can it be improved?

Would love to hear what type of bots you all are building and wether they are math based or sentiment/emotion based and how you feed it data!

Need help enterprise sales

Hey folks, founder from ThetaPal here and I’m trying to find someone/team that would want to help sell “ThetaPal enterprise”.

It’s a modern financial dashboard with way faster ways to gain clarity into a portfolio and do lots of research as well. Modern views and workflows that I built from personal pain.

I then expanded it to work for financial advisors as well because it handles multi brokerage support perfectly.

Anyways, if it looks interesting to anyone and you think you can land a sale I would be open to recurring rev share for any clients that stick around.

Tiers
$149 $299 $499

I would be open to doing 25% recurring rev split/share for any clients they can land. I can provide customs dashboards or whatever you need to effectively sell. I have a decade of experience in software and trading and I’m moving very fast currently.

Month 2 startup. Lots of potential.

Comment here or ping me privately if this sounds interesting.

WDC option heatmap, WILD DELTA

Hey folks, i saw WDC pop last thursday on the scanner i use, but I was too chicken to get in. It seems to have some serious steam behind it and did +4.5% during a big market red day this week. Feels like people are saying it was a bit too cheap. AI datacenter stock trading at around a 40PE multiple atm.

If bubble pops this thing would get hosed, but it feels like it might still have some legs underneath it. Im seriously considering selling some PUTs on this bad boy.

JULY 24th, $670 strike is paying a smooth $5k at the moment, and being assigned shares doesn't even seem all bad. could turn around and sell the juicy calls after to reduce cost basis.

any of you all trading this name? feels under the radar scary good maybe

My AI bot is 100% win rate, first 4 days

Ok fam, its time to tighten up our trading and harness the power of these new AI agentic trading flows. I feel like with some proper statistics and backtesting we should be able to make this work. I know its harder than it seems though, many people try and fail.

I tested this bot this week, and it was 100% win rate on the days it traded.

Day 1: TQQQ

Day 2: SQQQ

Day 3: SQQQ

Day 4: Heartbreak, market gapped 1.5% overnight. so might bot filters entire day out and refuses to trade. (its a rule i set, but i just wanted another day of data)

anyways, it seems like a hella good start to the first week. I increased the money the bot had access to each day which is why the graph above looks weird. $50 day 1, $500 day 2, $1000 day 3. total profit $13 week 1! time to take profits and go buy some chicken tendies and gravy.

Im working on building a 2nd bot that trades more frequent. this one above only makes 1 trade per day. TQQQ or SQQQ and stops out with a bit of complex logic.

BACKTESTING DATA:

I ran a backtest over 12 months of data using a data feed I have from Intrinio.

no look ahead bias or anything, its a mathmatical execution on the bot above.

6 months in sample, 6 months out of sample.

annualized return: 45% max drawdown: 6.6% sharp ratio: 2.07 slippage factor used: 0.00% ( i need to keep real trades close to 0 slippage, at 0.15% slippage my strategy returns 0%, brutal...)

anyone day trade 0DTE on these bombs?

Ok folks I have an automated system that helps me find the most explosive names each week. sometimes they take a huge dip or sometimes they make huge new gains. its really not guaranteed either way, but they are super volatile.

Higher IV rank means options are pricier relative to the stock's own history, which is exactly what we want to sell.

# Ticker Price IV Rank IV Est. 30d ATM premium Earnings
1 LRCX $400.10 100% 78% 9.0% -
2 QNC $3.36 100% 157% 18.0% -
3 AMAT $637.29 100% 75% 8.6% -
4 ACMR $105.30 100% 108% 12.4% -
5 STX $1112.94 100% 91% 10.4% -
6 WDC $781.64 100% 97% 11.2% -
7 NKE $44.85 100% 55% 6.3% ⚠️ Jun 24
8 RMBS $139.00 98% 98% 11.3% -
9 AEHR $117.19 97% 151% 17.3% -
10 ARM $434.99 97% 107% 12.2% -

How to read it: IV Rank is where current implied vol sits in its 1-year range (higher = richer premium). Est. 30d ATM premium is a rough guide to what a one-month at-the-money option is worth as a percent of the stock price. Earnings flags names reporting within 7 days, where premium is fat but gap risk is real.

What are you selling against these names this week? Cash-secured puts, covered calls, spreads? Drop your strikes and expirations below.

Est. 30d ATM premium is approximated from ATM implied vol (0.4 · S · σ · √T). Actual premium varies by strike and delta. Not a recommendation.

My bot is too disciplined FML

TRADE_BOT_1 — no trade today (gap-skip), nothing to do

  • ET: 10:02 Thu — today is settled
  • Status: skipped_gap — QQQ gapped +2.03% overnight (limit ±1.5%), so the strategy stood down at 10:00
  • State: phase IDLE, no-trade summary already written, account flat (~$1,013 cash)
  • Scanner: stopped (exited on the skip; no point restarting — a gap-skip is final for the day)

A gap-skip is terminal at 10:00, so there's no signal coming today and nothing for the loop to manage. I'm not scheduling another tick — re-running /loop /trade-bot-1 today will just report this same no-trade status.

Next actionable run is tomorrow morning (before 10:00 ET): /loop /trade-bot-1 will scan at the 10:00 range lock with the no-wait logic, and poll ~30s once it's in a trade. Loop stopped.

well folks I wanted some more adrenaline today because my bot is 100% winners so far on its first week. however, today the market gapped up and one of my daily filter rules is we dont touch days with 1.5% gaps overnight. damnit!!! I have to wait another 24hrs to play agentic trading warfare. this stuff is too addicting, but im trying to keep decent risk monitors in place.

Do you guys have any sort of filters you use to avoid certain situations? FOMC news? big red/green days? etc...

also im currently trying to develop a 2nd bot for some sort of multi trade per day VWAP type trades. if anyone has ideas on this I would love to hear your thoughts as well
