Volume Control Gone?

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but when I swipe up/down on my latest gen AirPod pros the volume no longer changes. I don’t think I touched my settings and can’t figure out how to re-enable it.

Anyone else experience this?

Financial Gamification is Bad

Just curious if anyone else agrees that we shouldn’t have live data comparing us to other people, tracking us against other portfolios or tracking how many times we check or trade in the app.

This encourages behaviours to invest more, potentially take risks and create an unhealthy addiction based on competition. The age old saying to buy an index and set it aside is the exact OPPOSITE of the gamification. Not to mention that incentives (eg, monthly millionaire, spin the coin) are designed to reinforce these behaviors.

Before I switched with a big4 bank I checked the app like, basically never unless I had to make a deposit. Now, I find myself addicted to an unhealthy rate but maybe that’s just me and my problem.

So is this gamification really the right move?

Optic Adjustable Nose-Pads

For those with the Blazer / Scriber optics and a low nose bridge, did you find the adjustable nose pads actually work?

I did an idiotic thing

Was so excited for my Meta Wayfarer Ray-Bans. Tried both widths in store — neither fit. Small had gaps in my side vision, large sat too low. I blamed the sizing, not realizing these are a high bridge fit. Zero clue. Nobody mentioned it. I should have researched but then again that’s why I went into that damn store.

So I impulse-bought the large pair. Got home and realized it was a nose bridge issue the whole time.

I wish the rep had said something. Instead they acted like there was no other stock, no other options. And now they won’t honor their own refund policy — because they want the sale.

So I’m stuck with a pair where my low nose bridge means there’s three times as much frame below my eye as above. I feel like an idiot. Turns out there’s a Headliner option with a lower bridge. Found out too late.

Anyone else make this mistake? How do you live with the pair you got stuck with? Worried I won’t even wear them and just wasted my money.

Low Nose Bridge

I know the wayfarer glasses are a high bridge fit but those of you who’s glasses are positioned lower due to your lower nose bridge, did you find any solution? Or was it just fine the way it was.

Concerning AirTag Tracking

I went on a walk and when I came home, a few hours later Apple notified that an AirTag was near me.

The location was right outside my home, and the path it had followed traced four red dots. It didn’t track my walking route exactly, and I checked my belongings (no tag present)

Is it just a pure coincidence I ran into someone four times during a walk and that they also live in my building? Am I just worried for nothing

Wayfarer classic glasses

Does anyone wear the classic wayfarer as their regular glasses? I’m curious how you find the tilt for everyday use. I was thinking of getting a pair with transition lenses

New Neighbour Games - I can’t stand it

All I hear when I sit down at my desk is the clatter of his keyboard and mouse and it just distracts me and irritates me so much. I try to put in noise cancelling earphones but it makes me feel underwater and I can’t focus - occasionally he yells out loud, it startles me and it’s the worst

I can’t ask him to stop doing something that’s considered regular, I’m just so annoyed at the situation this is more of a rant but if anyone has tips that would be great too

I thought about moving my desk but for reference the way my space is furnished the layout of the furniture is pretty much fixed. If I moved the desk then my bed would be right beside the wall of the noise and that would interrupt my sleep.
