I recently realized that despite you being encouraged to be liked by the high elves at some point(even after you destroy all but one settlement) their friendly dialouge doesnt really work well with N'Kari at all.

I repeatadly opened the diplomacy tab with this guy and everything he said was nonsensical. He even said he was glad to see a friendly face... N'Kari is the so called "friendly face"

EDIT: I just noticed my strength rank at this moment is Slaanesh approved.

The man owns 35 settlements. Most of them came from me either direclty giving the settlements to him to get a good buffer zone or by him taking the empire settlements i razed. I am his trusted friend at a comfortable 613 and improving, but he just doesnt want ot wassalzie and i cant even pay him for it. This is made more confusing by Kairos Fateweawer, someone i havent encountered the whole game and a strength rank 9 dude with the entire south of the map, being fully willing to PAY ME to be my vassal after i was planning to sell him a settlement i accidentally occupied from one of the challenges of khorne.

Im fine with ignoring ALL OF THAT, but this isnt even his most heinous crime. I have to purposefully disable "call allies for help" whenever someone declares war on me becouse if i do, this man(who i am in a military alliance with) fully terminates our alliance and removes every outpost if he is even ASKED if he wants to be on my side(and the allied recruitment units from him are quite good so thats an issue) becouse i wanted help with some elves.(also, kairos turned from "i dont know you" to my ride-or-die after one settlement deal and is at war with everyone who im at war with and he is the only ally i have at dealing with the balck pyramid. Shoutouts to that absolute chad)

Is there a mechanic im not aware of at play here or is Throgg just being a prick?

EDIT QUESTION : I got an extra question about this campaign with everything im told, Why has kairos been such a bro? Considering everything you guys have said his actions dont make sense. The only bargaining tool i needed to own him was a worthless settlement when he was doing pretty well for himself and had the entire south of the map with a solid strength rank 9. AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT, when i vassalized him, altough not as much as the current situation, i was at war with a large chunk of the world and he full sent being my ally and accepted vassalization knowing very well what he was getting into, and proved my most usefull ally by immideatly mobilising against all my enemies next to him. Tzeentch works in strange ways i suppose.

You can determine your favorite unit by whatever metric you like. The one you always catch yourself using, the one you like to wacth figth, the one you like the design of, or for any other reason of your choice.

For me: Its Brawler by a landslide. I have attempted multiple challneges where i try to beat campaigns using only him. Something about his figthing style resonates with me. Bash with a shield and while the opponent is recovering, hit them with the axe. Not to mention, that axe can kill a good chunk of units in one hit AND the ai is proficent using it.

Also, his use cases are infinte. Frontline battle? Brawlers are(in my honest opinion) the best frontline unit when you consider the cost and will 1v1 most units in that price range. Need to rush ranged units? That shield is very effective. Need to kill one beefy unit? Their damage when in groups is insane since their damage and attack speed are both fairly high.

He is also very good for formations and flanking so when i feel like using actual strategies, he is my first pick.

On top of all that, he doesnt have any abilites unlike the newer units who all have at least one to be viable. He is just an unit with his stats, his shield and axe. Simplicity is a virtue when it comes to balance.

I kinda went on a bit of a Brawler rant but he deserves it.

And they try to make it seem like they won becous of the transformers but they covered it up, REFERENCING A BATTLE WHICH WAS LOST

I know he has trauma and he wasnt always like this and he has the possibilty of redemption and he actually cares and etc. But i have seen polls where its "who is the better charecter: (personality wise not writing wise) liturally anyone else or jax?" and there is always a consistent above 10% group who pick jax and they always say "but he is just traumatized" my brother in caine, the man actively torments people.

Yes yes, he does it as a coping mechanism but i dont view that as justification in any way. In my opinion, he got dealt a bad hand in life and is trying to make it worse for everyone including himself. He makes his trauma everyones problem becouse him having a semi-functional coping mechanism is worth everyone else suffering.

And he didnt even have the worst experience! Kinger entered the circus with everyone he knew, saw them all abstract, spent years alone, and is THE(arguable take here) most mature person in there.

From a charecter standpoint tho? He is really nice. He is intresting and every scene with him is going to be fun/depressing, but you can appreciate a charecter for who he is without making him a good guy.

Also, EVEN HE KNOWS HE ISNT JUSTIFIED! Whenever someone pokes his logic, he dissassociates. His line to Pomni during episode 6 is one of my favorites "There is nothing more to me, so please, stop looking" His logic is really flawed but its the only one he views as availible so he takes it.

I probably jumped through multiple takes here but yeah, Corn/10 charecter

EDIT: A blunder on my part for not putting this in, but these are my opinions and you can NORMALLY tell me why im wrong (without telling me im the scum of the world). Also, as i previously said, i like him a lot from a charecter design perspective and i think he is really well written, but caine forbid i get stuck in the same room with him
