Is there any bag storage place in Annapolis to store my carry on for a few hours?

Hey I’m stopping in Annapolis from DC for a few hours and later taking the BWI Amtrak to philly. What’s the best way to store my carry on so I can walk around and check out Annapolis for a bit?

Lost DJI pocket 3 camera at Tashkent airport - offering $300 reward for anyone who can help find it

I’ve spoken to multiple Tashkent airport workers on Telegram and on the phone and they’ve just wasted my time telling me to “wait for answers”. On the night of May 24th i went through Tashkent airport security and put my camera through the machine, but foolishly forgot to get it back. I came back the next morning and the airport was of no help. This camera is 100% in the airport, unless an employee stole it. If you can help me find it i will gladly send you $300. Please message if you know anything

Has anyone come up with a clever easy way to attach an airtag/any tracking device to their Osmo pocket?

I just lost my pocket 3 in the Tashkent airport and the security (who likely stole it) say its gone. I'm gonna get the pocket 4 pro once it releases, and to prevent this from happening in the future, is there an easy way to put an airtag on this thing? One way I was thinking was attaching one to the lanyard. Any other ways so i can avoid losing it again?

How to respond to people who say Israel lost the war?

Hearing the argument that as a result of the war,

- americans hate Israel even more somehow, and see us as dragging the us into war

- iran will have control over strait and charge tolls forever, making it a global superpower

- hezbollah is emboldened and not even close to defeat, unlike what many thought in 2024

- america - usa relationship could be sabotaged because of lebanon pullout, israel could hold up the peace deal because of their refusal to exit lebanon

- all the momentum of the last 3 years has been eroded. hebzollah still exists, hamas isnt destroyed, iran is stronger than ever, houthis are still the same

- abraham accords with saudi arabia is done forever, and the accords as a whole are finished

- the "go for broke" strategy failed and israel is a pariah state hated by many in the world

is this true?

Visiting Lviv for 3 days from Budapest?

Hey, I’m an American who’s staying in Budapest for 3 weeks starting the 14th. I wanted to do one weekend trip and have always wanted to go to Ukraine because I respect the people and their fight against imperialism. It seems like going to Lviv is the best route where I can visit Ukraine safely while still supporting their economy, so I figured I’d take a sleeper train from Budapest there for a weekend. Apparently, taking the train is way better than taking a bus. Any things I should know before going? Thank you.

App to download for my 80 year old Hebrew speaking grandma to learn English?

I want to teach my Israeli grandma some more English, she knows enough to converse on basic levels but she wants to learn more. We tried Duolingo at the most basic level and it was pretty complicated. What app works best for Hebrew speaking English beginners who aren’t savvy with tech? Some easy basic stuff would be appreciated. In person wouldn't work, she's physically limited

How to make a call to 1173 or 102 from outside Uzbekistan?

Hi, I went to the Tashkent airport the other day on a layover and lost my camera while going through security. I left it in one of the machines. The lost and found was no help for me, and no one cared/spoke English. My camera is 100% in the airport right now, and it's probably very easy to find. I've been told I need to contact 1173 or 102 as they are tourist police numbers and they can help.

But since I'm outside Uzbekistan now, I cannot contact them. Are there any workarounds for this? VPN? If any English speaking person inside Uzbekistan is willing to help me out, I would happily pay if we can recover my camera. Message me. Any help would be very appreciated

Left DJI osmo pocket 3 in security after arriving at airport last night. Went back to airport and they said they didn’t have it. Am I screwed?

Are there any other ways to try and get this camera back than besides the lost and found way? I 100% left my camera at the airport just a few hours ago and the staff is telling me it’s already gone. Anything I can do? Tashkent airport

If Uzbekistan wants to fully embrace tourism, then they need to ban those taxi driver vultures at Tashkent’s airport

I’ve been to many countries but Tashkent might have the worst taxi airport scammers. They follow you around and harass you. I called from the app and got my taxi so it was fine, but boy was that experience surprising, I thought Uzbekistan wanted tourists? Worst first impression ever with the rude airport staff and then the drivers. That’s the best way to scare tourists away.

Is 2 days in Shanghai not enough?

Hi, I’ve been in Chongqing for the last 2 and a half days and have loved it. Here’s my schedule as of now with me set to leave here tmrw:

May 14 to May 16

Chongqing

May 17

Flight: Chongqing to Shanghai

9:00 AM to 11:25 AM

May 17 to May 20

Shanghai

May 20

Flight: Shanghai to Beijing

6:52 PM to 11:21 PM

May 20 to May 24

Beijing

May 24

Flight: Beijing to Tashkent

5:10 PM departure

But I’ve thought about rescheduling my flight to a day later so I can spend another day in chongqing. Then I worry I would screw over my Shanghai time though. Should I just stick with my schedule?

hi, in all my research i've been told to book a hotel in Wangfujing. but my friend wants to stay in this hotel in the Chaoyang District by Sanlitun. Are there any downsides? it's my first time here so i want it to be easy and it seemed like wangfuijing is the easiest in terms of location to get to the tourist spots.

I am arriving at 5am on May 14th, and according to the 240 hour rule, I must leave by 00:00 on the 14th. My flight is for 5pm on the 24th, yet I cannot select that here. Is this a problem or can I just choose the 23rd?

u/Temporary-Print-734 — 2 months ago

Here's my itinerary that I have planned, with no visa 240 hours.

  • JFK → Chongqing (CC) May 12 (5:35pm – 5:00am)
  • Arrive in Chongqing (3 days) May 14, 5:00am
  • Chongqing → Shanghai (2.5 days) May 17 (9:00am – 11:25am)
  • Hangzhou Day Trip (1 day) May 20 (8:19am – 9:24am)
  • Hangzhou → Beijing (3.5 days) May 20 (10:30pm – 12:40am)
  • Beijing → 3rd country May 24 (5:10pm – 11:35am)

I was wondering if I should scrap my day trip and spend an extra day in Shanghai? Or is it worth it to go and see Hangzhou? Very curious. Thank you
