Please help with advice, friend cant quit xanax

Hello, a friend of mine has been using xanax for years, maybe 5-6 or more, hes around 40 now, he wants to quit and has gone to multiple psychiatrists even in other cities but no one has helped, he said hes tried almost everything, he says that whenever he starts to taper off and reaches a certain point its not possible for him to function and starts feeling dizzy etc.. i dont exactly know his dosage, can you give me advice i could tell him? also how should i tell him? because i dont want it to be unwanted advice but i want to help somehow? no one can heelp him it seems he seems discouraged, yesterday he went to a new psychiatrist and he told him hes a weird case

just asked he takes about 3 per day, he tapers off for example he switches to 2 and a 3/4 pills a day and then in 2 weeks he tries 2 and a half and so on, his head starts to hurt, he cant get out of bed and go to work etc after tapering

Laid off for a year, got an offer, but it’s a massive downgrade. Should I take it or keep looking?

I’m a 5-year exp React dev (mostly mid-senior). Got laid off a year ago, took some time off to reset, and have been actively searching for the last 4 months. The market feels absolutely dead right now. I’ve done 7 interviews, and this is the only offer I’ve gotten.

Here is the situation -

Old pay: €2,500/month.

This offer: €1,500/month.

It’s 100% in-office in another city, 4 hours away from where I live.

To make matters worse, I currently live with my girlfriend, if I take this, I have to move in with my mom in that city, and my partner and I will be doing long-distance, seeing each other maybe twice a month 1 week each time.

What would you do?

Laid off for a year, finally got an offer but it feels like a slap in the face. Should I take it?

I’m a Front-End dev with 5 years of experience (React). Got laid off a year ago. Honestly, I didn't start searching until 4 months ago (personal reasons), so I’ve been actively interviewing for 4 months now.

I’ve had interviews with 7 different firms, but the market feels brutal right now. I finally got one offer, but it’s really hard to swallow.

Old pay: €2,500 net (clear).

New offer: €1,600 net (clear).

but.. 100% in-office.

I feel like this is a massive downgrade. I know the market is tough, but going from €2.5k to €1.6k with 5 years of experience feels like I'm being treated as a junior. Plus, being 100% in-office makes it impossible to interview for other roles

My savings are okay for now, but I’m tired of the gap in my resume.

Should I take this just to get back into the game and jump ship in 6 months, or will this salary define my market value for the next employer?

Hostel staff harassed me, forced me to leave early, and now the hostel is trying to bribe me inside the app to delete my review. Booking.com phone support hung up on me. Help?

I’m a solo female traveler. A receptionist at a hostel inappropriately touched my hair and used my personal number to send me creepy, flirtatious texts on Viber. I felt unsafe and fled after the first night of a 2-night stay. I left a 1-star warning review. Now, the hostel management is explicitly texting me inside the official Booking.com app chat, offering a full refund only if I delete my review. I called Booking.com support, but the agent was useless, said the hostel denied the refund, and hung up on me. The app's automated help menu completely loops and won't let me open a safety/fraud ticket.

The Problem:

  • The hostel is literally using the official app chat to violate partner rules by bribing me to delete a safety review.
  • I replied to them inside the chat saying: "Please process the full refund through the Booking.com platform. Once the refund is fully completed and reflected in my account, I will update the review." (I plan to keep the warning up once the money clears).
  • The automated "Help" section on the site keeps redirecting me to generic FAQs when I search for "safety" or "bribe."

My Questions:

  1. How do I bypass the front-line phone agents and get this screenshot evidence of review extortion/bribing to Booking.com's actual Fraud or Trust & Safety team?
  • Can the hostel ban my profile or get my review taken down if I take the refund and just update the text instead of deleting it?
  • Is there a hidden direct support link or email that actually goes to a human supervisor?

My 10-year-old cat has cancer and a history of pleural effusion (fluid in the chest). We had the fluid drained 3 weeks ago and she’s been on diuretics (half pill, 2x daily) since then.

I counted her resting respiratory rate at 22 BPM, which I know is "normal," but the way she is inhaling looks weird/heavy to me. (I cant attach a video here but i attached one in my profile) I’m worried the fluid is coming back despite the low breath count.

im not a minor but i dont want to distress the cat if not needed, im from bulgaria, vet is accessible, ive brought her to the vet multiple times these past 3 weeks because i found out she has cancer, shes a female, shes neutered, i can afford a vet
