Vegan Spa Treatments - Seoul and North Vietnam

Hi!

I’m going on a 15 day trip to Seoul and the North of Vietnam at the end of September.

I’ve seen some amazing videos about spa places to get massages and head spas etc, and I would absolutely love to have some treatments during my stay. I’m just slightly worried about finding places that use vegan and cruelty free products for the treatments.

Any recommendations? I’ve tried to look online but I’m struggling to find anything that specifies that vegan-friendly products are used.

Thanks :)

Where should I stay in North Vietnam in September?

My boyfriend and I are visiting the north of Vietnam for 1 week at the end of September, our flights arrive at Hanoi and also leave from Hanoi at the end of our stay.

Could you recommend an itinerary of where we should visit/stay? We’ve never been to Vietnam before and I know a week isn’t long so want to make sure we go to the main recommended areas. I think maybe staying in 3 places max would be good so we get a couple of nights in each.

Would love recommendations please! Definitely would like one of the stays to be somewhere more beachy if possible.

I’m also vegan but I’m pretty sure the majority of Vietnam caters for vegan food, but just mentioning in case that isn’t the case for any areas.

Thanks :)

Vegan restaurants in Malta

I’m staying in St Paul’s Bay in Malta for 5 nights this week. Any recommendations for vegan-friendly restaurants? My 3 friends with me are all meat eaters, so preferably places that cater for both!

Thanks :)

Is my washing machine a write off?

Have a very old AEG Lavamat Turbo washing machine. I know it’s definitely over 6 years old as it was here when I got the house. I’ve never heard noise like it when it was on the final spin the other day, literally thought it was going to take flight. I’ve attached a video, not sure if it indicates a bearings issue?

Thanks in advance :)

[Acne] - Any recommendations for these breakouts please…

For context, I’ve always been an acne prone gal. I had 3 lots of antibiotics at the GP in my teens and eventually a 6-month round of Accutane which did really help for a couple years following.

I’m super breakout prone still but I’ve never been bad enough to need to return to the GP. I look after my skin very well. I splash my face with water in the morning and follow up with a moisturiser and SPF 50. On an evening, I cleanse, then follow up with either Retinaldehyde 0.05% from Naturium, glycolic acid or a hydrating serum such as the BOJ calming serum each night, followed by eye cream and moisturiser. I also use the Shark Cryoglow religiously every single night. I’m almost out of a 100ml bottle of Skin1004 centella, which I quite liked and it didn’t cause breakouts.

For some strange reason, I thought it would be a good idea to try a bunch of new skincare recently. This was stupid. I introduced one product at a time each week, I fear this wasn’t long enough to know if it was affecting me. The products I introduced were the Skin 1004 Centella sun scream and centella moisturiser - I’m pretty sure these are okay but honestly not sure. But I also started double cleansing by using BOJ ginseng cleansing oil and I tried the Niacinamide exfoliating cleanser from Q&A. I didn’t realise the cleanser had jojoba esters in - I wouldn’t have bought it if I’d realised, I don’t like physical exfoliants. I cut out the cleansing oil and the Q&A cleanser about 2 weeks ago, I’m now just using the hyaluronic acid cleanser from Me+ (Superdrug’s skincare range). This was all I had without buying something new (payday can’t come quick enough 🤣) but I don’t think it’s good enough to clear congested skin.

Can anyone help??? I probably just need to revert back to everything else I was using, I’ve never had spots quite like this on my chin, they are so small but there are so many of them!

Any recommendations would need to be vegan and cruelty free please - thank you 🙏

Head Spa recommendations?

Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Japanese head spa treatment? I’ve been dying to get one for ages.

I’m in Morpeth so Northumberland, North Tyneside or Newcastle would all be fine. Some I’ve seen are really expensive, I’d ideally not want to pay more than £80 (if that’s possible!).

Thanks :)

Hi,

Does anyone have any good recommendations for vegan sauces / mayo? So far I’ve used Heinz vegan mayo and the Wagamama vegan katsu mayo, I got them both from Morrisons.

I’m going through the bottles super quickly and they’re not cheap! Any recommendations of some cheaper / own brand recommendations? I usually prefer to shop at Lidl / Aldi but couldn’t find anything like this so had to go to Morrisons.

Thanks! :)

▲ 2 r/EEGB

I’ve been with EE for my phone for about 10 years, but I don’t feel their prices are competitive. I currently pay £20 a month for my SIM (unlimited data, texts and calls) and my add-on for roaming is included.

I’ve just complained to them about the cost, and they’ve agreed they can knock it down to £13 a month (since I have broadband with them, although my current price reflects that too apparently…), but this would be a 24-month contact and, of course, subject to their annual price increases. They also confirmed my average monthly data usage is between 12-13gb a month, so I certainly don’t need unlimited, but the data on the offer was boosted anyway because of my broadband.

However - Tesco Mobile have a 60GB data SIM, unlimited calls and texts, for £13 a month on a 24-month contract, but the price is frozen as I’m a clubcard member, which is much better. This also includes free roaming AND Tesco Mobile have no spend cap on roaming abroad. I told EE this, and they advised they couldn’t offer me anything better than they already had.

Has anyone had any experience switching? It is extremely rare for me to have no signal with EE, the data coverage is really good, so I am just wary about switching and noticing I have less coverage. I understand Tesco Mobile uses the O2 network.

Thanks in advance.
