“Do you unto others as you would have them do unto you” is bad advice when it comes to annoying assholes.

With some people being patient with them is just simply the wrong thing to do.

With some people if you continue to be patient with them, they are going to continue to take advantage of your patience.

I feel like this is primarily what kids need to learn if they are having trouble standing up for themselves. It’s because they were taught to just be nice no matter what.

Some kids need to actively be taught that being nice is just simply not the right thing to do with some people. There is no point in being nice with people who are not ever going to be nice with you.

Thank you for indulging my rant.

Is there a subreddit dedicated to teachers discussing the decline in student literacy and behavior among GenZ and Gen Alpha?

Have you ever thought of a new strategy or idea after SEVERAL hours of gameplay in a game? If so, what was it and what game?

Like for example in Urtuk, throwing hot oil onto an enemy, thus making the hexagon hazardous, and then “taunting” an enemy when he is on that hex, thus causing him to NOT move from that hex is a strategy I only thought of after many hours of play.

One reason I like Urtuk is because of how high-stats and powerful equipment are not enough for victory (normally, but they DO help.) You have to be intelligent, clever, and vigilant to win.

How long before there will be more dead people with Facebook account accounts than live ones? Is there anybody who already has more dead people on their friends list than live ones?

Catch The Kid (2004). A movie about kids who rob a bank to pay for medical bills after their health insurance denies coverage. Fuck this movie.

How often do applicants confront employers for ghosting them?

Because I was wanting to confront an employer who ghosted me whenever I am traveling through that town again.

Say something to the effect of “six years ago I was told I’d get a call about rescheduling an interview. I never did. I did not forget that.”

Or just something to that effect.

Do other people ever do that?

Why is our culture so hostile against wanting honesty?

I’m actually going to apologize because whenever I posted about this before it got taken down because it led into hostility.

I feel so very hurt, not only by how common lying and ghosting is by job recruiters, and employers.

I feel especially hurt by how many enablers there are who insist that I am the one who “needs therapy” because I want to confront dishonesty.

Why is the slightest little bit of pushback when pretended with potential ghosting so found upon?

Why is it so frowned upon to respond with “we will call you later”, why is it so frowned upon to address that you’re being strung along instead of being shown honesty?

“Is there already a scheduled next step, or is this more of a polite ‘no’?”
“When you say ‘we’ll follow up,’ what does that actually mean you will follow up?”
“Do you usually notify rejected candidates directly?”

As I said, I’m actually going to apologize because I simply may not be posting this in the correct place.

On /r/griefsupport I was mocked for wanting sympathy.
