Desh ke andar bhi, Desh ke bahar bhi! Giving away tax-payers money without any collateral and then settling in huge amounts

Desh ke andar bhi, Desh ke bahar bhi! Giving away tax-payers money without any collateral and then settling in huge amounts

BoB was at the centre of the NMC Healthcare fiasco in the UAE and mid-east.

It came into the picture after NMC’s joint administrators alleged that the bank facilitated financing arrangements by processing or extending credit based on fictitious invoices and undisclosed borrowings, enabling the company’s management to conceal its true financial position.

The bank has denied everything but agreed to pay ₹5,700 crore for the settlement.

Ghaple mai toh jo paise barbad kiye honge BoB ne, woh alag, Itna bada settlement kiya woh alag, woh bhi cross-borders. Waah!

Really want to visit and see this, sadly not in Kolkata right now

I remember back in the days (even 4 years back) the paras and the choto lanes had so many flags and great art work supporting Argentina & Brazil.

Not in Kolkata right now but would have loved to see these again, especially these new neon kind of art!

Polaroid did it Right!

It’s been after a very long time that I saw a great environmental ad somewhere, and Polaroid has done it right!

These things are always in the News, but they never really happen

I have seen these kind of news articles a lot of times, but they never seem to go through with it.

Saying these things might be easy, but almost every country in the world fears US sanctions (Iran being an exception 🫣)

Being in a family associate with foreign trade, and seeing USD being the boss since I can remember, all these sound too good to be true to me.

Welcome change from Carpet flooring to Solid flooring at CCU

Catching a flight today from CCU after a couple of months and saw that they’re changing the carpet flooring to solid flooring.

It’s a great change finally because the carpets used to be so frekin dirty earlier.

I got my BoB Select LTF upgraded to BoB Eterna LTF

About a month back, I successfully upgraded my BoB Select CC LTF to BoB Eterna CC LTF.

The process is quite straightforward. You can mail crm@bobcard.co.in asking for an upgrade and they’ll share an upgrade form, which you’ll have to fill and share your income details (I shared my last 3 months salary slips along with my bank statement with those credits) and PAN as well. (They might deny at first stating internal rules, but you’ll have to pursue by sending a couple of mails)

They are a bit non-responsive, but with a lil nudges, they do get the work done.

The entire process took around 40 days and I got my upgraded card. Along with the upgrade, I also got the complimentary 1 year FitPass membership. For which I didn’t get the voucher directly, I had to mail them again separately.

Hope this helps if someone is looking for an upgrade. For any questions, I can answer.

ওম শান্তি 🙏 Hope people are rescued and people related to this industrial area in Taratala are safe

A warehouse fell in Taratala today with multiple reported casualties and injuries.

Hope they rescue all the people trapped there and people in that area are safe.

Feels extremely disheartening and sad.

Even the Petrol Pumps are saying this now!

Even the pumps of major Govt backed oil companies are saying consumers to be extra careful with the new E20 petrol.

I hope they relax this blending a bit.🤞

For a State in Financial Shambles, is this in any way a Good Idea Economically?

Just saw a full front-page ad in almost all the newspapers about this new freebie scheme from the Punjab Govt.

With passing time, each and every party is moving towards a freebie first culture. Is this in any sense or way a good financial decision for the state of Punjab? Last I saw, Punjab was one of the worst performing states in terms of economic performance and financial deficit.

Yesterday in Bengal's budget, the new Govt furthered the direct to bank cash schemes in addition to the schemes it promised before the elections.

I feel like direct distribution of money has become much more easier than actual development that might produce some good long-term results and better conditions for generations to come.

Thoughts on the New Govt Budget?

I've created a 20-pointer budget highlight based on today's budget of WB. I feel some points are good and some are an outright waste of taxpayer's money.

What are your thoughts on this Budget announced by the new Govt?

Tel-er Dam ektu kom kora toh uchit!

They kept the already high oil prices stable, then increased it citing oil company losses, now when Crude is again going down drastically, shouldn’t they reduce the cost a bit?

Eta ki hote pare?

What do you guys think, can the current WB Govt pull this off?

I remember back in 2011, there was a lot of chatter that Momo Didi would build something similar to London Eye near the river-front but that never saw the light of the day.

Is it just me, or the Street Food of Kolkata has lost it’s touch in the last few years?

Don’t get me wrong but I love my city’s food. I fight with people from Delhi, Mumbai and Indore that Kolkata still has the best street food.

But jani naa kintu ae rokom feeling je the street food earlier was quite better earlier as compared to the last few years in Kolkata.

What’s your take on this?
