At some point he just stopped DJing with Lee, who continues under the Plump DJs name; transitioning to Kings of the Beats (with Kraft Kuts and a Freestyler I beleive.)

Andy released an Album ‘Rave New World’ recently [wrong, it was 2022] .

I used to travel to see the plump DJs every other month around 2005/2006 and occasionally chatted to Andy (embarrasingly quite munted, which I’m sure was a treat for him)

And even once ‘stood up’ the guys when I’d arranged to grab a pint with them after their set up in glasgow. But pulled a bird and got a little sidetracked. Older me now would trade that sloppy drunk encounter for a beer with my DJ heroes.

One thing I find odd about talking to people who make music is how a track that can become your favourite, or score some pivotal moment in your life or core memory with it playing, 9/10 they can’t even remember making it 😂

I always wanted to chat to Andy about the early plump stuff and his time releasing tunes for Freskanova and if there’s any aliases that Might have been forgotten to time.

Hopefully he’s just living his best life doing what he wants.

$165 Million

That’s an awful lot.

And I’m 100% sure the puppeteers and puppet voice actors didn’t get paid nearly enough for carrying an entire 165M movie.

First thing I’d do to save money: not have Jeremy Allen white voice Rotta. as a voice performance it was weak. Is anyone really going to go see The Mandalorian and Grogu for Jeremy Allen White?

Zeb: how much did he cost? Considering his entire purpose in the movie is to fly mando places. Save money by only having him in the pilot seat. It’s not as if his ‘arc’ in the movie would be affected.

Movie quality wise; there’s so many little things they could do to just make a better movie. Set ups and pay offs. Interesting camera work.

I really liked the movie, but it wasn’t exactly well constructed. Mando getting knocked out THREE times seems like something out of a first draft.

What would you do to improve the movie (other than more Grogu and more Anzellans 😉) or save some money on the budget?

edit: people are very defensive of the budget. Ok let’s say it was the cheapest Star Wars and cheap for a sci fi movie… then I’ll rephrase the question as it should have been better written and executed and directed for what it spent. How would you improve the movie?

Been using counted for months, not had any issues.

This last week myself and my wife have had several packages which were late to begin with not attempted delivery and marked as return to sender.

How long before they change their name again to escape this absolutely garbage service they provide.

Given that filoni presented some already filmed scenes at disneys D23 in Aug 2024, I’d wager that a lot of the puppet work was completed a long time before this press run, and that as amazing as the puppet work is in the movie, I’d wager that it’s improved a lot since shooting wrapped.

I’m very excited for more Grogu adventures 💚

I am 100% serious there needs to be a stress free, full series of 30 min episodes of mando and group just chilling out, on the crest, at home, on location. Eating, snoozing, snacking, cuddling. Training, feasting.
