Long ebooks to get lost in (300+ pages): Scifi horror, lost in ancient ruins, lost on another planet/spaceship, lost in a Asylum or big building

I am a fast reader especially when I really like a book. I would really like some long ebooks. I don't do regular books because I am a plumber and will mess them up at work. The longer the better.

I use Kobo if that helps.

Heavily looking for a High headroom single channel clean Amp in a box preamp and cab sim pedal. Might settle for a Strymon Iridium with York IRs. Looking to build up my MTG Commander collection as well but I am always open to offers. I need another kettlebell if you are a Tulsa Oklahoma local.

Cave Horror, Tombs, Buried Horrors, Unearthing things that should have been forgotten style books.

I read The Luminiscent Dead and was absolutely enamored and couldnt put it down till i reached about midway and then it was hard to get through. It was so good until it turned into a stockholm syndrome love story. Do you all have any reccomendations on books that fit the bill of “oh shit we shouldn’t have came down here and disturbed this thing/object”.

Just started reading again after a few years. Wanting to jump back in. I read David Wellingtons Paradise 1 and I am fixing to read the next 2 books, but I want to know what is out there currently.

I currently use Kobo on a tablet because I work construction and would absolutely destroy a physical book.

Should i leave my current job for another for more money but less home time.

Card Deck: Smith-Waite Tarot centennial edition deck. Very pretty and really called out to me when i went to pick out my first deck.

Cards read from left to right 1-5.

Context: I got a offer for for a job that pays almost double hourly but i could be working upwards to 7 days a week. I am a union journeyman plumber currently so we already work alot, however i landed a job working 48 hours a week 1 or 2 times a month the rest is 40 hour weeks. Anyway, the work is getting kinda slim and tbh it’s pretty boring. I put a few sinks in, unclog a toilet, normal stuff. I miss the excitement of plumbing a whole hospital or big business. But my wife is pregnant with our third so we need the money but i also need to be home for the boys snd my lovely wife. Here is my interpretation below.

I used a spread i found on a tarot website i thought best suited my question.

Card 1: Knight of Wands (reversed) “What’s keeping me in this job?” Honestly, financial stability I do feel kinda burntout but i don’t feel like i am staying here out of impulse. But i read a bit further and i have been clashing beliefs with my current boss and he is a hardcore christian and it can be so exhausting. Also, our company kind of sucks since the bosses son took over. But i don’t see staying here as impulsive more like staying out of uncertainty and fear.

Card 2: King of Wands “What’s pushing me to leave?” This one hits the nail. I don’t get taken seriously at my current job because another boss ran my name through the mud because i drug up on him for telling everyone on the job i was incompetant. No one in the office takes me seriously or thinks i can handle a job by myself. This right here is another reason i want to leave. Everytime i have a idea its the same old thing, your boss doesn’t like it and shoots it down and it just pisses you off. I honestly feel Stagnant and that i am not using my full potential here.

Card 3: Nine of Swords (reversed) “What does staying look like in six months?” I was happy to pull this card because i have definitely been feeling pretty bleh at this job. But maybe in 6 months we could land a big job and i could be getting the respect i want. As for now things are kinda slow due to poor management and the economy, but it shouldn’t stay like this forever ( hopefully). To get down to brass tacks i am the stressed out man in the bed hoping things get better soon as i am the only one bringing money in and it is absolutely exhausting sometimes.

Card 4: Eight of Swords “What does leaving look like in six months?” Very interesting pull. I definitely feel trapped right now. Work is slim and my company has laid quite a few people off. Id be lying if i don’t sometimes wish they would lay me off too because i am so tired of the bullshit and lack of communication between jobs we get. But i don’t understand the meaning of the card in the context of what happens if i leave and it has been 6 months since. The card definitely calls out my fears and doubts of how things might go though. So maybe i need to stop being so afraid and take a chance.

Card 5: The Hanged Man (reversed) “What I most need to see right now.” This card hit me in the gut hard. Another call out to stagnation, what if it doesnt’t workout? What if the grass isn’t greener on the otherside and i left to make more money but i lose everything else? What if i leave and can’t come back if i fail? Honestly this card really called me out. I have just been doing the motions to get by but i don’t want to live my life this way like my boss. He has been here 15 years and doesn’t think anything better is out there. I don’t want to end up like him but the financial stability is nice. But i need to take action soon.

My overall interpretation is i need to leap but it is going to be full of trials and tribulations. I look forward to everyone elses interpretations.

Sonim RT80 with Android 10

I'm debating on buying a older Sonim tablet off eBay as my On the go GPS, YouTube, Whatsapp, and Ereader. I used the Minimalist app so everything will be black and white so having a pretty screen isn't a issue.

How is Android 10? I currently run Android 11 on a old shitty OnePlus and it seems to be okay. Just want to make sure I'm not making a mistake.

Rugged 8” tablet i can use with US Mobile Sim.

Hey everyone,

Looking for something i can beat the shit out of. I work construction and id like something i can facetime my wife and kids with then throw it in my cooler lunchbox without worry. It needs to have sim card capability so i can use WHATSAPP. I would like it to be fairly fast as i would like to be able to watch youtube, read ebooks, and listen to music. I don’t play phone games so i don’t need the latest and fastest gaming tablet. I hope this helps, i will list must haves or wants below.

Want:
3.5mm headphone jack

Must:
Sim card and SD card capability
Waterproof
Dustproof
Decent refresh for reading ebooks and watching youtube.

I think that is it. Camera and screen type don’t matter too much because i use the minimalist app and everything is boring black and white. Thank you.
