I don’t know how I’m going to get through this

I went back on lexapro 10mg 26 days ago after having some anxiety after 6-7 months of a self taper off.. since reinstatement, I’ve been to ER 5 times thinking I was dying.. I feel wired in my chest 24/7, I feel off/weak, I havent been eating/drinking much; dropped 15 lbs, I cant go anywhere because I’ve developed agoraphobia, it’s a chore to do anything and ive only gotten worse

what do I do now? is my nervous system absolutely ruined for good if I stay on this med because I’m only getting worse… do I taper off or abruptly stop.. Idk what to do I just want to feel better right now

What do I do?

I was on lexapro for a year or two and got off about 7 months ago because I was tired of the emotional blunting.. well I tapered off myself by cutting in half and then cutting in half again over the course of maybe a week.. well slowly over those 7 months my anxiety started to creep back up and intensify slowly over the course of time.. well recently it just got too bad so I was thinking about going back on my meds which I did.. it’s been 25 days since going back on lexapro and since going back on I’ve had 5 ER visits thinking I was dying.. I’ve been bedridden, dealing with severe anxiety that was way worse than before the med, a never ending chest tightness, agoraphobia and health anxiety i didn’t have before the med, highly agitated, I can’t hardly shower because I freak out, I’ve lost 15 pounds because my eatings habits are bad, twitches when trying to rest, etc

I’ve done some research and I may have experienced what yall call it here as protracted withdrawal injury and by going back on the med I had a kindling experience… so if this is the situation I’m in, do I slowly taper off the med, stay on the med and hope I stabilize, switch meds like the doctor wants me to do… I have no clue what to do because I’m stuck between will I get worse if i change something, or will get worse if I stay on a med that potentially is further damaging me.. any direction or advice is helpful

I’m just terrified of any decision because right now I’m in complete desperation

Does this sound like an injury or just the wrong med now?

I was on lexapro 10mg once a day and buspar 10mg twice a day for about a year and came off because of emotional blunting.. I came off on my own and I cant remember how fast I tapered off but I did.. fast forward about 6-7 months later I was having anxiety and panic attacks, so I tried going back on and ever since going back on I have became completely bedridden.. I was on both medications again and then stopped buspar because I was only getting worse and now it’s day 24 of lexapro and I’m having constant anxiety, constant chest tightness, 4 ER visits, a severe health anxiety i didnt have before, agoraphobia, feeling completely wired 24/7, body zaps when I try to go to sleep and it feels like my heart stopping, orgasms feel like a stroke, dropped 15 lbs in 3-4 weeks, I can’t take a shower because the warmth makes me panic and I used to love hot showers (i also think my heart races way too fast in hot shower), I feel weak and exhausted… the only relief I get is sleep and I know that sounds horrible but it’s true… I need help recovering from this.. my doctor is wanting to cross taper me to paxil starting today but I’m worried I’ll just make myself worse.. what do i do guys please help I feel like I’m going to die

Taper advice to paxil

If I’ve responded really bad to lexapro 10mg after 3 weeks and doctor wants me to cross taper to paxil, is 5mg lex and 10mg paxil going to work without having crazy side effects or should i just do 20mg paxil off rip and ditch lexapro

Can anxiety truly manifest as chest tightness behind breastbone 24/7?

I’m starting to wonder if my chest tightness is anxiety related or something else… I’ve been on lexapro 10mg for 3 weeks now and it has only gotten worse.. my doctor wants me to cross taper to paxil.. does anyone know if my chest tightness could potentially be something else because sometimes I dont even feel panicked it’s just there.. I just need some guidance because it’s hard to want to do anything when you feel restriction in your chest.. ER gave me hydroxyzine yesterday and it made me feel relaxed and tired but i could still feel the tightness in chest like it doesnt get blocked idk.. this shit is frustrating

Need guidance and advice desperately

I’ve gotten 100x worse since starting lexapro 3-4 weeks ago.. 24/7 bedridden with chest tightness and restlessness, developed a health anxiety and agoraphobia i never had before, cant hardly eat or drink without feeling urge to reflux/regurgitate, taking hot showers or going outside in heat absolutely torches me.. i had none of this besides chest tightness before lexapro.. My primary care doctor is now trying to cross taper me from lexapro 10mg to lexapro 5mg with paxil 10mg briefly then fully to paxil.. I havent tried yet it’d be first day today.. did you have an experience like this on a med and worried about switching over and starting over? I’m wondering have I just not given lexapro enough time, or if i should switch, or if i should just say bump the doc and quit medication altogether.. I’m lost in life right now and completely dysfunctional..

Btw my primary care doctor is family medicine doctor not a psychiatrist

I need advice on what to do.. I’m in desperation

was prescribed lexapro and buspar about 4 weeks ago.. I was way better before I started.. I’m completely dysfunctional right now.. I have developed in 4 long weeks: severe health anxiety as it relates to my symptoms, agoraphobia, not being able to do normal tasks like take a shower (especially a hot one ill panic bc heart rate rises and i feel it without touching my pulse).. I’m literally still convinced the doctors are missing something or this medication literally just isnt the fit for me.. well flash forward to today my doctor wants to cross taper me to Paxil.. I’m terrified of starting this process over.. I honestly feel like I’m going to die either way, if I switch to Paxil, stay on Lexapro, or just stop all altogether.. I don’t think the person I was before all this will ever be back.. I have had constant chest discomfort and tightness 24/7 for 4 weeks and a whole list of other symptoms but this one bothers me the most because it’s hard to do anything when it feels like a weight is on your chest.. and now today my resting heart rate is supposedly in low 50s and my doctor still has me on these medications and also has me on xanax 0.5mg twice a day now which will just lower it even further and I’ll die.. for some reason my anxiety never manifests as racing heart when I’m lying down but I feel internally uneasy.. I just want to feel better man.. I would rather be asleep 24/7 than be awake right now.. this is worst thing I’ve ever been through and I feel like God isn’t looking out for me after continuous prayers it only gets worse.. what did I do to deserve this anguish.. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy

What the heck is this discomfort/tightness/clenching in my chest 24/7

I mean I feel it constantly and it never goes away.. been to ER 3 different times and they ran every test u can think of and ruled it non cardiac related..

I don’t have to be thinking about it.. it just is the worst symptom to have because you deadass think you’re having a heart attack while doing anything you’re trying to distract yourself with

it’s so much easier not to have anxiety when you don’t have symptoms.. this shit isn’t mental at all

it follows me all day everyday 24/7 and this fucking lexapro/buspar doesnt do shit (that damn xanax prescription does a little tho)

I mean wtf is wrong with me and why can’t the doctors seem to figure this out..

I’m on the brink of just taking my xanax regularly because I need relief which my doctor wants me taking 0.5mg twice a day regularly but I haven’t been doing that much.. I take it once usually..

someone tell me they have had this fucking symptom 24/7 too.. it’s been 3 weeks on lexapro and buspar and they only made the shit worse

I’m sorry for cussing but I’m pissed; I’m tired of feeling like shit all the time and not being able to take a hot shower without freaking out, or eat/drink and not feel like i need to regurgitate it up… I mean wtf is wrong with me?

Lexapro and Buspar

I’m at 10mg buspar twice a day (at like day 26) and it seems like I get worse every time I take it.. I’ve developed agoraphobia, health anxiety, i cant take showers anymore.. does anyone else think buspar is the culprit here.. Also on lexapro 10mg day 18 right now but I’m wondering is the buspar just fricking everything up or have I just not given either drug enough time.. I can’t just stay bedridden feeling like shit constantly but it’s where I am at.. only my prescribed xanax helps me.. anyone else had a similar experience on buspar or lexapro.. Idk which one is causing this or if I just happened to coincidentally develop all these bad side effects at same time I went on the medications (which it seems like no ones side effects are this bad) .. I haven’t even taken my second buspar today because I actually feel fine this second and I’m worried it’ll make me feel wired again 😭

Not a benzo addict, but….

I was prescribed xanax for 3 weeks 0.5mg twice a day… I’m terrified I’ll get addicted because this is only thing giving me relief for the moment and it only lasts maybe 3-4 hours… once it’s gone my chest tightness/discomfort comes back 24/7…

The doctor prescribed it because I’m having a bad “activation” period on lexapro and buspar (day 16 of lexapro and buspar 3rd week)

I have little faith the lexapro and buspar will work like the benzo will eventually

Do you guys recommend I don’t take the benzo and just tough it out or what?

My primary care doctor is who prescribed me the lexapro, buspar, and xanax

lingering chest discomfort/tightness all day

Ever since starting lexapro and buspar 14 days ago.. about 4-5 days ago I have had constant chest tightness unless I take the 0.5mg xanax.. did anyone else deal with chest tightness that never goes away?

I have been to ER 3 times and they say it isn’t anything cardiac related.. ran ekg, echo, ct scan, xray, blood work, etc.. all clear

How do I get out of this.. I even feel it when I’m sitting down playing video games completely distracted

I have little faith I’ll ever get over it

lexapro day 15 and buspar 3 week mark

Hot/warm showers and heat make my heart rate go up to 130-150 range and I feel anxious when it happens.. before I could handle showers and outside fine.. is this a side effect and is it dangerous, or should all this subside soon

Lexapro and Buspar have messed me up

I have been living in hell for 2 weeks (day 13 on lexapro and a couple weeks on buspar)…

I have chest tightness, GI issues (bloated and constipated), feeling like I want to jump out of skjn, hot flashes across my chest, impending doom, worse panic attacks and anxiety

I struggle to eat, taking a shower is like a chore, and anything else I have to do seems like I’ll die doing it.. I’ve lost almost 15 pounds in a month

Does it get better in next few weeks or am I screwed.. I have little hope
