Frigidaire blowing from only half of the outlet grill

This unit does generate some nice cool air, but I only just noticed it blows only from the left side of the grill... is that normal? It seems like that's by design?

The louvers only go up and down, not left and right. Looking at the panel behind the louvers, I can see that the fins are aimed to the left, but there's no dial or handle for me to aim them center.

Of course I can spin the unit to aim the flow, but the window kit is oriented to the right, so turning it in the direction I need cuts pretty tightly against the curve of the exhaust hose (almost 360 degrees).

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with directing the interior louvers, if I am missing a basic understanding of the window kit, if I have a faulty unit, or if just positioning the whole unit is the answer!

People's Experience with Adding Trip Insurance as a oneworld member?

I'm new to adding trip insurance, waffling on adding the add-on coverage to a flight, and definitely have not thought of every angle. I am interested in hearing others' experiences or preferences if you've had this situation, so I can make sure I'm thinking about it correctly.

- My flight is not refundable, but it will credit to a future trip, which I guess is OK in the grand scheme.

- Hotel and car are cancelable up until the day before (of course, not on the day of arrival, which is when so much chaos can happen...)

- I don't have Alaska Airlines / Atmos membership, which initially worried me about rebooking in case of delays and cancellations, but I do have Oneworld emerald status so I believe I could have access to priority support without the trip insurance help desk.

- The insurance policy cost works out to be about 7%-8% of the fare+fees. I could just about pay for a hotel night with that cost, or am I just justifying not paying for the insurance!?

Am I thinking about this the right way? US air travel has been so chaotic this season with weather and delays so I'm trying to anticipate all the travel-day "what ifs."
