Anybody have semi-permanent clicking in the shoulders now? How to get rid of it

so had rotator cuff injury to both shoulders. on my left shoulder the MRI shows no problems except "mild tendinitis". I don't really have that much pain except when I rotate inward.

However there is a lot of clicking in several places. Any idea if this can be fixed? also having stability issues. Not sure if cortisone shot or prp can fix this. Otherwise it seems like it's permanent unless you strengthen it overtime somehow.

Thanks

I love you schwab, I really do but you're not a serious brokerage

Why does schwab website break every week it seems. there's always something wrong - incorrect pricing, pages not loading, acc values broken. I've been using this platform since 2019. They need better servers; they need better backend engineers.

The only good thing about schwab rn is ToS, and even ToS has problems sometimes as well. I don't know why I haven't moved to IBKR. Etrade got killed earlier this year. Don't get me started on robinhood or webull

Rotator cuff problems on both sides but seem to be healing, Doctor said hold of on prp

Hello.

So I made this post a few weeks ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/RotatorCuff/comments/1ulj2su/31m_received_mri_results_for_both_my_shoulders/

Basically, my left shoulder is maybe 85-90% of what it used to be. I don't feel much inflammation anymore but I have a lot of clicking and some pain in the front delt. MRI just says tendinits of supra and infraspinatus

Right shoulder is the one I have a potential tear. Inflammation has gone down a lot. Some pain in the front delt but my rear delt pain has gone down alot. MRI says possible partial-thickness tear of supraspinatus and mild infra and subscap tendinitis.

I met me ortho today and I was supposed to get prp. He says hold off on it and re-evaluate in a few weeks since it seems like my right shoudler is still healing.

If I start to plateau in a few weeks should I go through with prp with the right, should I do both? I'm quite sure that my left shoulder wont improve that much more b/c that injury occurred almost 5 months ago. My ortho seems to agree. Plus pt seems to have plateaued on the left shoulder. Getting prp on the left seems to not make sense to me as i'm not sure prp could even get rid of the clicking, I would be chasing the missing 10% of performance.

For my right shoulder, it seems to make more sense, if I get prp after I plateau, I would say my right shoulder is maybe at 70% so theres a lot of healing to be done.

Is there anything else I can do? Like maybe stem cells or something in the future, tenex perhaps?

Cheers

Crazy Flooding today in NYC, basement flooded. are my home gym mats screwed?

Hello. So I'm currently in NYC. Today had unbelievable flooding. my basement is flooded. We've managed to get the water level down. This is crazy, seems to happen once a year or every couple of years you get this awful flooding in the city.

I have a power rack that sits on top of some sturdy Horse stall mats from tractor which are probably 75lbs each. There is absolutely no way to clean underneath them now. There's no doubt that trapped moisture is going to smell, possibly residue and mold

Not sure what to do exactly. Don't even think I could clean underneath without removing the rack which is not somehting I have the temperament to do right now. Any ideas?

Thanks

Is it even possible or a good idea for me to get a job in this field? (finance/tech background)

Hello everyone.

I am a 30Year old male from NYC. So graduated in 2017. Joined an investment bank as an analyst working in engineering, eventually moved up to join a quant desk(equity derivatives) focusing on production engineering. Before moving on to low latency engineering. Left New york for a few years to live abroad. Came back to help out my parents and become a business owner myself(their business was booming in the food and beverage space).

Currently I'm thinking of getting back into the industry. Not really looking to go back into banking. Maybe tech. However, I always wanted to work on an oil rig. It fascinated me tremendously after watching There Will be Blood when I was 12 and deepwater horizon. I have dreamed about getting away from my desk and living in a place like Abu Dhabi or Texas or an oil rig in the ocean.

I don't have a background in Petroleum Engineering and to be honest I'm quite weak in natural sciences. I am however, really proficient technically on any systems/computer side of things as well as broker/dealer relationships from my time in finance. I am also used to working and traveling for my job in finance. Would be ok with doing training and ideally I think the best kind of job is one that combines sales + field work + computer work

To be honest, I am also a bit of a hothead. I quit an amazing, high paying job in my mid twenties because I fell in love with training muay thai and mma. Went and lived in thailand for a couple of years and fought in some fights b/c I didn't want to waste my physical prime. I see this as an exciting physical challenge as well.

Are there any jobs that would make sense for me at all? Or is it a bad idea altogether? I also assume most jobs I wouldn't be qualified for? I want somebody to give me the pros and cons and the best way to get connected with people in the field. Thanks very much guys

31M - Received MRI results for both my shoulders and I'm unsure where to go from here

Hello.

So just for context. I am 31M, 6'1/230lbs.

I dabble in bodybuilding, powerlifting, combat sports(mma/wrestling/muay thai). I've never had an issue with anything in my body for the first 28 years of my life. In the last 3 years I've experienced:

  • TFCC tear in my right wrist.
  • Dequervains in my left wrist.
  • Hip bursitis in my right hip.
  • Gout
  • Now problems with both my shoulders and rotator cuff

I got my MRI's back and this is basically what it says:

Left shoulder:

No Fractures

Mild supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinosis without tear.

There is mild edema in the subacromial/subdeltoid bursa.

There is infiltration of the fat in the rotator interval.

Right shoulder:

There is a possible partial-thickness articular surface tear of the anterior insertional supraspinatus tendon measuring approximately 6 mm in AP dimension and involving up to 50% of the tendon thickness. There is a background of mild supraspinatus tendinosis.

Mild infraspinatus and subscapularis tendinosis without tear.

There is mild edema in the subacromial/subdeltoid bursa.

My right shoulder seems like there may or may not be a tear but they can't tell. And there's tendinitis on both. If I'm reading this correctly.

Not sure where to go from here. PT doesn't work and I think PRP is the only option atm. Not going to get cortisone shots since those don't fix anything.

Currently can't lift heavy (I can but don't want to risk it). Not sure if I ever will again, or I might risk further damage.)

Left shoulder there's a lot of clicking, pain when stretching cross body, can't really bench press anymore. Right shoulder not as much clicking but more inflammatory pain.

These injuries are on top of hip bursitis, left wrist surgery, TFCC injury on my right wrist.

My body is breaking down in real time and I don't know why. I fear I will never be the same again and the last 3 years of my life have broken my physically and mentally. I'm talking to my ortho next week. Not sure what to even ask. I am assuming he will recommend PRP on both shoulders. From my understanding surgery isn't even an option and if it is it would be on my left shoulder.

Might consider going to do some sort of exploratory surgery somewhere else in the future. I eat quite clean, lots of single ingredient foods with lots of protein, carbs and greens. drink lots of mineral water. I stretch a lot pre-workout. I even got some blood testing, thyroid, deficiency done with my rheumatologist b/c I was getting injured so much for

Is it possible to split an MRI for a single body(shoulder) part into multiple sections for claustrophobic patients?

Hello.

If I were to do an MRI for both my shoudlers or one shoulder let say.

Could I do my left shoulder first, and have that mri be split into 5-10 minute intervals assuming its a 20-30 minute mri?

So they take me out of the machine more often, 2-3 per part? Is this a possibility

What are your predictions for release date?

So, my prediction is if the game doesn't release by end of august I am quite sure it wont come out this year. b/c GTA 6 is still set for november release. I dont see a christmas release for MSC nor it coinciding with the former.

And if they're going to do it shortly, a summer release makes the most sense. I am sensing a 2nd beta to finalize testing changes and server capacity by EOY and then something like an early 2027 release is my guess.

What do you guys think

Recommendations for full comprehensive medical testing, including MRI's packages?

Hello.

I am looking for full medical packages that test for everything in china. Similar to the ones you see online in thailand and korea.

I want to focus on MRI's as I have get MRI's for my shoulder and wrist for possible labrum tear and long term TFCC issues.

Blood and testosterone panels and such as well.

Have any of you had this done before? Would be willing to travel through chinese cities if necessary. I spend most of my time in Beijing and Fuzhou

Are there any good tools for tracking previously traded stocks and oversold/overbought stocks at large scale?

I'm looking for a tool out that lets us track previously traded csp's, spreads on certain tickers, usually high beta ones once they hit a previous price range.

This functionality can be done on watchlists and most brokerages but they aren't designed to do so. Especially if I want to track 300+ tickers.

I will trade a ticker and forget about it but a few months later I might want to once it hits certain conditions such as avg volume traded, net premium, px range, avg IV above certain range, spread, macro conditions, etc...

Usually if you set an alert on your trading tool or brokerage apps, it just pings it, but you might miss it pretty often.

Thanks guys

Would I need to pay a 10% withdrawal penalty in my case for my ROTH b/c of conversion?

Hello.

So I had multiple retirement accounts with Empower through my previous employer. I tranferred the money over into 2 new accounts with Schwab.

I want to withdraw a set amt of money from my Roth up to the contribution amount, let's say $15,000 for example. Would I need to pay the 10% penalty for this if I withdraw less than contribution amt?

Empower is telling me I need to pay 10% regardless since I'm under 59. Schwab is telling me differently. I am getting different answers

Cheers

Looking to move from NYC to asia(Base in China or thailand + travel around), is this feasible with a small dog?

Hi how's it going.

So I just got married last year. Am a 30yr old American from NYC. My wife and I have a 10 year visa to china and we have contemplated living in asia for the longest time now after our last honeymoon. We went all around Southeast asia.

We are able to travel light and leave all of our stuff in New York. We would bring just the essentials.

Our plan is to have our base in China or Thailand and be able to travel around to countries like Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, etc... And in turn be able to return to NYC for a few months in the year as well.

We have a small maltese dog and I imagine that for any new country we go to they would have separate certification/vaccine requirements for every single one. Plus the airlines themselves. This makes it complicated, I don't know if it's a possibility for us at this time.

Do any of you have experience with traveling with your pets internationally, to SEA specifically or possibly moving and bringing them with you?

Cheers

Can you use deadlifting shoes for squatting, are there any downsides? Using weightplates for leverage

Hello.

How's it going. I got a pair of my first weightlifting shoes(I think they are specifically for sumo deadlifting.) Is there any disadvantages to using them for squatting as well. They are extremely flat and low to the ground. There's no added height on the back of the sole like most squat shoes.

They're also wide fit as well and I have gout so that helps. Should I get squat shoes with the lift in the back? In theory would this help add more load in the back of the heel during the squat(I imagine I want this b/c I want to take pressure off my toes b/c I have gout as well).

Or would squatting on top of a weightplate on my heel for leveraged help?

Having weird mid back pain out of nowhere(only one side and in the morning, is it hip related)

Hello everyone.

So I have had this weird mid back pain for the past few weeks. Mostly after waking up. I try to get out of bed as soon as possible and the pain goes away after sitting down or walking.

It's odd because it's mostly on one side only, the right side, which coincidentally I also have hip bursitis as well.

The pain doesn't feel very deep. But I've been sleeping less than usual. Could it have anything to do with my hip(I have right gluteal hip bursitis) or the fact that I've started doing cardio again(running, elliptical).

I also have a minor anterior pelvic tilt and I've been doing exercises to correct that as well. I've also been putting some patches, doing electrotherapy and using heat on that area as well but I'm not sure it helps

I've also noticed that I don't have that pain if I rest short cycles, like a 2 hr nap for example it's fine. But 7hr deep sleep I will feel the pain

Cheers

My vietnamese salt coffee just doesn't taste that good anymore

I started makign vietnamese coffee last month. Made it for a couple of weeks with a phin and it was amazing. Left for about a month and tried to make it again and it just doesn't taste the same.

I'm still using the same grounds(trung nguyen). I have a 12oz phin filter. I completely press the coffee grounds in the phin and let it bloom with hot water for about 30 seconds. It pours slowly. However when I add more water it starts dripping way too fast. Like way faster than it was last month. It doesn't make sense.

The whipped salt doesn't taste right either. maybe I'm using a worse heavy cream/creamer? I'm using about a gram right now and the foam doesn't taste as good. it used to taste like a salted cheese foam. Am I not using enough salt(using about 1gram right now). Maybe too little condensed milk with the coffee? the coffee is definitely not as strong, I'm thinking of getting a new phin or perhaps I'm not letting it bloom correctly

What am I doing wrong - or is my body just getting sick of making the same drink?

Thanks

One of the best things about old school maplestory was seeing someone you knew 50 levels ago randomly somewhere

One of the best experiences playing the game when I was a kid is when you meet new people and become friends together, maybe through party quests or party training and seeing them again somewhere else months later.

I remember meeting people at kerning pq at like level 30 and them seeing them again in ludi pq or el nath or nlc training again by random coincidence and by then we're both 3rd job. Always a great feeling. It's kind of like seeing an old friend you haven't seen for years

What were some of your favorite experiences?

Are there any films you would rec that are similar possibly of mystery or thriller element, but we can actually see exactly what happens at the end of the film?

For example, we see exactly how the virus started at the end of Contagion, what happened to Saskia at the end of the Vanishing.

Anatomy of a Fall was fantastic but the ending we don't actually know what happened to the husband and is up to interpretation.
