This is an absolutely insane deal. I actually own the Director's Edition of Star Trek I already on 4K but still picked this up (since it has the theatrical cut I believe).
Just pick up Part VI separately on sale (Part V ... ... you do you boo) and you have a complete collection of the TOS films on 4K.
I have a Prusa MMU3 which is notoriously difficult to load filament into but this SV08 takes the cake sometimes. How do you cut the filament end so it most easily goes into the extruder? I feel like I'm performing microscopic surgery sometimes getting filament into this thing and I literally can't. I feel like I'm sometimes having to try to load it 5-6 times before the teeth grip the filament.
Most of the time it pulls the filament up to the melt zone and just says "nah we're gonna stop here. this is as far as we go buddy".
Like should I mechanically be adjusting something on the idler in the toolhead to make it go into the thing easier? How exactly do I even do that on the toolhead?
I can't be the only one, right? Oh god is it just me?
That's really the only problem I have right now on this printer after spending approximately 3,000 years getting the printer.ini file to the correct specification to print without heat soaking and adding an Eddy sensor.
Someone asked me this question this morning and I went to my automatic mode of recommending the A1 Mini Combo. Was wondering... is this still the best recommendation for a kid just based on the easy-to-use ecosystem, RFID-laced filament, and easy guided set up these days?
Or should I have explained how the kid should build an open source printer? :-P
Just got tickets here in Austin for next month at the Bullock (jez louise could the Paramount Austin Summer film series be any more awesome?) and was wondering from those who saw it in IMAX earlier this year... did they remaster this for 12-channel IMAX audio at the time?
Because while the Laser GT is burning out my eyeballs I'd really like to make my eardrums explode as well.

Just got this email that Interstellar tickets will be up on 6/10/26 for a showing on 7/14/26 in cooperation with the Paramount Austin's Summer Film Series. Should be in 1.43:1 aspect ratio (Bullock is Dual Laser GT).

Sounds like these shows are a hit and this should hopefully be an annual thing now because the JAWS and 2001 showings they have in June apparently already sold out.

Guys I woke up after procrastinating and spending a few hours messing with Hueforge last night and I’m about to be a hero at brunch after a 10 hour overnight print on my MK4S. Feels good man.
