KC and the pregnancy

I'm rewatching season 10 and it's really crazy how easily KC was like "nah, I'm not in the paternity mood".

Like I get he is only a teenager, and he had a very difficult childhood with an absent father. But like he moved on so quickly! When Jenna said she was pregnant he had absolutely zero problems with telling her that he didn't want to get involved. And then we saw him during few episodes just laughing with Drew, being normal, even talk with her in the school like it's nothing.

Like he is suppose to be in love with Jenna, isn't he a little bit sad to not be with her anymore?

(Maybe a few seasons meant nothing, he just flipped a switch and erased her from his memory I guess)

Chantay's age

I know it's a very commun subject in the degrassi fan dom but right now I'm rewatching it for the dozen times, I'm at the beginning of season 10 and I still can't figure it out what age is she? why is she still here?

I'm mean, the first time I noticed her was the same time i noticed Darcy, during that scene with Chester (erk) so in season 4.

I know that at some point they decide that a season was a semester and not a year anymore, which could explain how she's here for 7 seasons.

I guess it's probably because most of characters that has her age are from lakers so when they arrive it's season 7 and we have the impression that they are new, even if they are already in 10th years. But it would also mean that during season 4 when she first appears she's in 7th grade ? Then why would she hangs out with manny and Emma that were 10th grade. and it's kinda weird? I don't know.

(I just think that the writers didn't give much thoughts about it and just kept bringing her at every seasons)

Character spoiled by writers

for you what character was kinda "ruined" the writers, or made act out of characters by the end? and what would have you done if you had to write their story line?

For example, IMO I hated what they have done to Jane and the fact that she cheat on spinner. I think it's out of character, especially with Declan. Nonetheless I don't think that her and Spinner were endgame, and I think that they would have eventually breaks up but maybe because she would have wants to travel soemthing like that.

The OC phenomenon explain for european

Hello,

I'm from gen Z so I didn't watched th OC when it aired. I watched it later, with other shows from this time period (like One tree hill). + In France the OC wasn't a big thing at all (OTH was way more popular for example). And so I can't quite realize the cultural phenomenon that was the OC at this time.

I saw a comment on a video on youtube that said " if one tree hill was american Eagle, the OC was A&F.

Maybe it's because I'm french but this comparaison doens't really ring a bell. Can someone can give me a comparaison that someone with european culture can understand? or just explain in general the phenomen ?

Thanks!

sport in Degrassi

I always find it funny how often the main sport of the school change. Like the basket ball team just disappeared, then football became the big thing, then Hockey. And it always become a huge part of the school identity. I don't think it's a problem, just that it's funny

who resembles whom across the generations

for you, which character is alike across different generations?

I saw a long time ago a video from "tht guy" where he compares differents character that have kinda the same vibe, for example: miles, eli and craig (https://youtu.be/OrejB1OziSU?si=RknMJoDvd3qhi28F)

And I like this concept, like in every generation there are character that fit the same kind of type without being the same.

Couples you would have liked to see longer

What couples you would have liked to see longer on screen ?

when you rewatch you think we only saw a glimpse of their potential and that's a shame.

It has to be real couples that existed on the show, and that the writer didn't developed that much, or not as much as you would have liked to see them.

Couples that should have exist

Which couple do you think should have happened? Even if they never interacted with each other, or even if they are not from the same generation, when you see them you think "yup those two should have met"

who could have won

In the Iliad, if the gods never interfered, who would have won?

I'm etablishing the starting point for this hypothesis, at the begining of the book, so at the ninth years, when Apollon punnished the acheans, Agamemnon claims Briséis because he has to give back chriséis and Achilles refused to ever fight again.

At this point, if the gods decide to not interfere, who would have won in your opinion ?

(i'm sorry i red the iliad in french so I only know thr french names)

Watching the time jump being older

The first time I watch OTH I was very young, and I thought everything was possible even normal. Like I genually thought for YEARS (10 to 13 years old) that it was kinda normal to get married in high school ahah.

But even a little bit older (around 17), the time jump didn't bug me off.

Now I'm older than they are supposed to be in the begining of season 5 and MY GOD. Like the writers take things a bit too far.

They want us to believe that they're ALL super successfull (even Peyton who is depicted like the least sucessfull, at 21 she had a internship in a big records, that just huge).

They are all rich, or famous, and married and parents or want to be married and parents.

The only normals of them are Skills, Junk, Mouth and (at the begining of the season) Peyton !

Anyway, I rewatch that, older, and most of people my age around me are living with their folks, still in college and trying hard to put some penies aside and keep a relation ship longer that 6 months (but I guess, since I'm not living in the US, it's already a big difference!)

Nathan and Lucas in the beginning of season 3

I'm rewatching the show for umpteenth time, and this time I really focused on nathan and lucas relationship in the end of season 2 and the beginning f season 3. And, I mean, Nathan had every right to be upset. Like Lucas lied to him about Haley, about Dan, the two people who ""betrayed"" Nathan (in his opinion at the time).

Of course Nathan got sick of Lucas playing brothers but when it comes to honnesty, he couldn't be a real friend.

But it doesn't mean I think that Nathan had to be rude with Lucas, even if I admit that dark Nathan is pretty fun to watch when you know that eventually, everybody's going just fine at the end.

And it doesn't mean that Nathan would not have made mistakes in Lucas's shoes, just that, at this point in his life, I think he couldn't bare lies or manipulation, even for his "own good".

What are you thought about it? was he right? what do you think Lucas should have done? this break between them wasn't for the best after all?

ENFP/ENTJ

In your experiences and your opinions in general, do you think a relationship (a love one) between an enfp and an entj can work ? (regardless of gender)

The problem with all Lucas's love stories

I think that the biggest problem with every relationship that lucas has is that he acts like the girl he's with is "THE ONE". And so, for us viewers, is very confusing to know when he's honnest. I mean, hes convinces that Brooke is his soul mate during all of the season 3 and then he acts like he's always been in love with peyton a season later (which represents just a couple of months). And then, he said to lindsey, with his intense look that he has each time he's about to confess how deeply he's in love, that he's going to wait for her all his life if he has to. AND THEN, in like what? a few weeks later ? he's engage to Peyton and she's pregnant.

I think that he would have seem more sincere if the writers let him loved every women differently. And then we would have avoid all the drama between Brooke's and Peyton's fans about "who Lucas loved the most" or "who he was supposed to end up with".
