It's been five year after the vasectomy reversal and still no luck.

Our story is kinda depressing, his dad forced him to get a vasectomy as a teenager after he got a girl pregnant. Ten years later he gets a reversal. Not because I pushed him but he wanted to have kids. I guess I just want to vent. We tried IVF and it failed. I don't know what we should do next. I'm getting older and he doesn't want me to get a sperm donor or adopt. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I am a very creative person, will ADHD meds make me less of myself?

So I love to do art. I get super creative at times with so many ideas running in my head. My husband keeps pushing me to be medicated since I cannot focus. It doesn't help that I used to smoke weed, he was a heavy smoker and got me into it. He has Asperger's, his brain goes too fast and weed makes him normal.

I stopped weed because that is when we had problems. It made me clumsy and just not motivated to do anything but I had moments where I could focus on a movie. I felt groggy the next day, so I called it quits.

I thought stopping weed would help, but he is still pushing I get on meds.

For people that are creative, do you feel like the meds helped you become more creative or did it dull you out?

I have adhd and I'm scared to take medication. People that are on medication, do you think it has made your situation better or worst?

My fear of taking medication is that I hear people saying it mad them feel worst and depressed. My other reason is that my sister and mom both have dementia. I'm just scared to affect my brain and trigger early dementia but I have really bad focus issues. I'm not sure if there is any holistic ways to make my situation better. What medicine have you taken and how has your situation been so far?

What were you signs that you had h pylori before you were diagnosed? What do you think caused it?

So my sister was diagnosed with h pylori. I wonder if I should get tested too since I have heartburn and acid reflux. As kids, we lived in an area where the water looked dirty and I think that she would drink the sink water.

Has anyone experienced religious psychosis and what did you do to overcome this?

My sister is in one where she thinks she is a healer just by touching people in the psych ward. She told the doctor he had cancer but that Jesus allowed her to heal him with one touch. She is in there for a week despite the fact that she tried to kill herself now, saying God told her so everyone is saved. I am scared after that. I hope they keep her longer but as a sister, I am taking the responsibility to take care of her, I don't want her to work. What can I do to help her? Please share your experience.

Warning the Church drove my sister in phycosis with fasting

My sister is my best friend. She is one of the kindest, most loving people I know. She has always been the type of person who sees the good in others and wants to help people whenever she can.

One day I was supposed to visit my parents, but I was running late because I was cooking for my husband. I called my Dad and told him I wasn't going to make it on time. Because of that, my Dad decided to stop by my sister's house instead.

That decision may have saved her life.

When my dad arrived, he found my sister unconscious and not breathing. He immediately called 911 and began performing CPR until paramedics arrived. They were able to revive her and rush her to the hospital. Our family was left trying to understand how this could have happened.

When my sister woke up in the hospital, she was experiencing what doctors later described as a psychotic episode. She was severely confused, delusional, and not thinking clearly. She would say things that made no sense and often could not remember what she had said moments earlier.

Her thoughts were disorganized and constantly changing. She was also speaking in tongues and behaving in ways that were completely out of character for her.

What shocked us was that she had no previous history of psychosis, delusions, or other serious mental health episodes. We were left trying to understand how someone we knew so well could suddenly be in such a severe mental health crisis.

We learned that my sister had been encouraged to participate in a fast before her baptism at an Apostolic church. Doctors explained that severe fasting can be dangerous for some people and may contribute to dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, organ failure, and in some cases serious psychiatric symptoms. They believed that the extreme fasting may have contributed to changes in her brain chemistry and the psychotic state she experienced.

My sister's kidneys were affected, and she experienced what doctors described as a psychotic break. She is now receiving treatment and getting the care she needs.

What hurts the most is that when we reached out to church leadership and members for support, we felt abandoned. We were desperate for answers and compassion, but we received very little response.

After this happened, I called a friend and told her what had happened to my sister. To my surprise, she told me that she had witnessed something similar involving a family member who had attended an Apostolic church that emphasized speaking in tongues and fasting. Hearing that made me realize that our family might not be the only one that has experienced something like this.

I am not sharing this to attack religion or faith. People should be free to practice their beliefs. I am sharing this because I believe churches need to be extremely careful when encouraging fasting. Pastors are not doctors, and spiritual guidance should never replace medical advice.

If your church encourages fasting, please make sure people are also encouraged to speak with a healthcare professional first. Some people have medical conditions, take medications, or have other risk factors that can make fasting dangerous.

Our bodies matter too. Spiritual health and physical health should go hand in hand. I wish more churches would discuss both the spiritual benefits and the medical risks of extended fasting so that people can make informed decisions. But also that it's ok to not fast. You are a good person if you don't fast. Please leaders keep this in mind and stop this toxic trait.
