Hello! This is my first post as an Reddit "deinfluencer". And this is why you probably shouldn't buy the Ergobaby Evolve Bouncer based on Reddit discussions.

• Your baby may hate bouncers altogether: "That some babies just hate the bouncer. My second would just cry anytime we put her in it." (2 upvotes)
• A $30 bouncer can do the same basic job: "We have a $30 Fisher Price bouncer that we could not live without, honestly." (21 upvotes)
• The useful window can be very short: "I'm glad we didn't buy anything expensive for like the 3 months we occasionally used it." (2 upvotes)
• Premium bouncers may not feel that different in practice: "I have the ergobaby bouncer. We have used the baby bjorn at friends houses and seems to be basically the same thing." ( 6 upvotes)

When It May Be Worth It

• You specifically want the newborn insert, especially for a small or premature baby: "We love our ergo bouncer. 100% worth it, especially with the newborn insert." ( 5 upvotes)

Alternatives

• Baby Delight ~$80
  • Similar minimalist look for much less. Reddit parents describe it as sturdy and comparable: "We have the Baby Delight one that looks very comparable to the Bjorn & Ergobaby but is quite a bit cheaper and I've been very happy with it. It feels very sturdy." (11 upvotes)
• Fisher Price ~$25–$40
  • Best if you just want something functional: "We have a $30 Fisher Price bouncer that we could not live without, honestly." (21 upvotes)
• Baby Björn
  • Better if portability matters: "I HAVE BOTH. The ergo cannot be folded one-handed and it is HEAVY and BULKY." (4 upvotes)

I went through a bunch of Reddit posts about Hims' oral finasteride + minoxidil treatment to see whether people actually think it's worth it.

The short version: some people get really impressive results, but it takes time, doesn't work for everyone, and the potential side effects are worth understanding before starting.

Some people are seeing pretty dramatic results

• One commenter reacted to a before/after with: "goddamn! my man came back from the dead 💯 great result"
• Another noticed clear improvement and encouraged the person to keep going: "hair def looks better so just keep it up and stay consistent"

The general theme seems to be that when it works, the improvement is more obvious after months of consistent treatment rather than a few weeks.

The pill seems way easier than topical minoxidil

• One user had previously tried Costco minoxidil foam but struggled to keep up with it: "I was using Costco minoxidil foam. Some biotin shampoo. And it was just a pain. I'd take big breaks. The pills are just easier to do. I just take it with breakfast and daily multi vitamin"

Honestly, this may be one of the biggest advantages of Hims. The medications themselves aren't unique to Hims, but putting them into one easy daily routine may make it much easier to actually stay consistent.

But it definitely doesn't work for everyone

• One person who had been using the same treatment for several months said: "Literally using the same thing since I think march and it has only gotten worse. Hate you :')"
• Another user said it hadn't changed their longstanding hairline: "I haven't noticed that at all. I've had a widows peak since Highschool. Still there"

So I wouldn't go into it expecting everyone's dramatic before/after. Results seem to vary quite a bit.

Side effects are probably the biggest thing to research first

• One user said their sex drive and erectile function were fine, but noticed another change: "my sex drive hasn't lowered, I haven't experienced ED, but when finishing, it isn't quite a release anymore, more of a trickle."
• Another commenter raised concerns about oral minoxidil: "Oral minoxidil has a black box warning buddy"

These are actual prescription medications, not just hair supplements, so I'd definitely look into the risks and talk to a prescriber if you have concerns.

And don't panic too early

• When someone was worried after only a couple months, another user responded: "That's only 2 months dude, don't people shed for that long or more?"
• Another user warned that shedding can happen even later: "Wait for a year from now and then it starts to all fall out and you freak out. It comes back though"

My takeaway: Hims' oral finasteride + minoxidil treatment seems most worth considering if convenience is the thing stopping you from consistently using hair loss treatments.

You're basically paying for an easy way to get finasteride + minoxidil into one routine. Some people get great results, some don't, and it seems smarter to think in terms of 6+ months rather than expecting a quick transformation.

The before/afters can be convincing, but I'd research the side effects just as carefully as the results.

the good and the bad

RAV4, CRV and CX-5 seems to be popular options. RAV4 got so expensive though for what it is.

Thinking of $50k budget max, but the lower the cost the better!

From what I've seen going through Reddit, maternity clothes and washable silks tend to get the most love. Furniture is newer but people seem genuinely happy with it so far. Cashmere and Linen has mixed reviews. Baby items also got many upvotes.

What have you guys actually bought from them? Curious what's been worth it and what hasn't.

Based on reddit dicussions, it seems like Pod 4 is a real step up from earlier gens, cand Pod 5 adds physical buttons + extra USB-C ports on the hub. Also apparently it tanks your heating/cooling bill since it's heating/cooling you directly instead of the room

The dealbreaker for a lot of people is still the subscription and internet dependency "The product is good, the subscription sucks. It's expensive, and there's no competition. That's the reality"
