MEXT Scholarship in Undergraduate Programs via the University Recommendation Route

Hello, I'm a high school senior from Turkey and I'll applying to a university in Japan this year but I haven't been able to find much information on how universities evaluate the applicants to suggest them for the MEXT scholarship. Does anybody know what in particular universities look for in an applicant when they choose an applicant to suggest for the MEXT scholarship?

Is It Wrong To Not Want To Talk To My Friend After Asked Her Out And She Rejected?

So, for context, I met her about 6 months ago online and our friendship has been great. We have a lot of things in common and get along well. Though we don't share much about ourselves, mostly surface level things like stuff we like and how our day was. Though there have been moments I would call "deep talks" I may be in the wrong here as an unreliable narrator.

After like 5 months, a couple of weeks after those "deep talks" I decided to ask her out on a movie date. She said she has been struggling to find something to talk about in our conversations and also said that she would talk about what was happening in the movie non stop when she was watching a movie so I decided it would be a good idea. I got rejected and she said that she loved me only as a friend and I said that she was a good and interested person and that I wanted to get to know her better and she thanked me and agreed to get to know each other better.

Then, I realized that I can't really keep up with this since I liked her and I was overthinking every single detail. Needless to say, that was quite pointless and I decided that I was going to make distance since talking to her was hurting me. I said that I was going to be focusing on myself and my life more and I was sorry if I wouldn't be able to talk much with her and she didn't mind it and said that it was okay.

Now that I've been doing that for a couple of days and not spending time on my phone much, she has started to double text and tried to be overly nice and later asked if she did something wrong and I said no and reminded her of the thing I've said before. Now I feel really bad for making her feel that way but I just don't see how our friendship could continue if I don't create some kind of distance first and later on talk to her with a pure intension of friendship and not hopeful romance. What should/could I do?

Would it be a good idea to study Physics at Nagoya University?

I'm an 11th grade student from Turkey and I want to study physics at Nagoya university via the G30 program. I want G30 specifically because it's taught entirely in English though I'm also studying Japanese to be more comfortable if I ever get to actually study there. I'm going to take both an SAT and an IELTS test this summer. My last and only SAT mock exam that I took on Bluebook was a 1300 with a 780 in maths so I'm hoping on getting a result of somewhere between 1450-1550. My last IELTS mock exam was a 7.5 but I don't know how legitimate that was since it was just a website I found on the internet. The ones I took before that were both 7.0's.

I have been in science clubs and philosophy clubs but I haven't been that active on neither of them. Though, I have participated in an art competition about quantum physics. I didn't win the competition but I surely will mention that to try to show that I think art and science shouldn't be separate things but should be done together.

My grades were mostly in the 95-100 range this year with a 98.5/100 average. My physic grades this year were all 100's and my math grades were all 100's expect just a 98. My notes ranged between 90-100 range in both the 9th and 10th grade with math mostly being 100's and physics being in the 95-100 range.

I participated in physics olympiads twice but haven't been able to win. I got 7 questions correct and 1 wrong in my last attempt and though that may not be great, the journey leading up to the exam taught me how to understand and visualize physics better. I'm also going to code a working demo of a 2d Newtonian Physics Engine on python this summer and hopefully will be able to get it working properly by the time applications open.

I would love to study in Japan and especially at Nagoya Uni because I think it's a great place for how I think and would be the best choice for me to grow as a scientist and also budget-wise. What do you think, should I study there or is there a better alternative or anything?

Should I Study Physics at Japan?

Hi, I'm an 11th grade student in Turkey and I'm currently thinking about studying physics at Japan. I know it's one of the hardest and exhausting subjects to study but I think I'm passionate and curious enough to study it. Since I don't know much Japanese and don't have the time to learn enough to study physics in Japanese, I decided that Nagoya G30 was my best option. I am currently learning Japanese since I could be living there for 4 years, just in case. But I can't find much information on how university life is like there or anything on what I should expect to see if I did eventually started studying there. Does anyone have any advice on what I should/could do? I don't know much about the international academy scene so I decided I might make a post here and ask for advice.

AIO Am I Overthinking My Friends Behaviour?

I usually return to my friends text messages immediately or just a couple of minutes later but he has not been doing the same. I'm pretty sure it's not because he's busy because I've seen him online more than once for quite long durations after I sent the message on more than one occasions. He has left me on delivered, despite being online multiple times, for 2 days at most and mostly for a couple of hours.

I also tried texting him while he was online but that didn't really cut it either, he either went offline or just didn't respond at all despite being online. I've brought this up and he said he hasn't been on instagram much that day and that when he gets on instagram he usually scrolls reels and kind of gets lost in his own head while doing so. But that still doesn't really excuse why he wouldn't respond when I texted him while he was online. This isn't really something new either, he has been doing this for as long as I can remember. Am I overthinking this?

What does it mean when my friend says they're forgetful and won't respond to my messages despite being online?

So I've met my friend about 4 months before and we have been talking quite often on a daily basis but idk if I just happened to notice it more of she they've always been like that but I've lately been noticing them not replying to my messages despite being online for up to multiple hours sometimes. He has always said that he was a very and I mean very forgetful person but I don't know if they can actually be so much in their head that they literally don't respond to the message that they see pop up on their screen at all. Should I like bring this up? I know some people are THAT forgetful since I've met some people like that before and I can't see any reason as to why they would do such a thing like this but it just bugs me a little.
