Hike above village in pastures with cows? Does it exist?

Maybe a strange request, but I'm trying to find a hike near Annecy that would have a view of a village below it and walk through pastures of cows. I have read the Le Grand Bornand area is big on cows. Are there any hikes like this there?

How do you get new card bonus + use referral link for Capital One?

DH currently has the C1 VX with me as an AU and I'd like to get the Savor now in my name. Can I use his referral code while also getting the current $250 sign up bonus? And how do I go about that?

Help me find a semi-formal/cocktail dress for HOT outside August ceremony . . .

Wedding invitation specifies semi-formal/cocktail. The ceremony will be outside in the middle of August in Delaware . . . so hot as he!!

My body, in my perimenopausal days, acts like a raging furnace! I've been searching for hours now for a linen/cotton dress to help keep me cool, but I can't find anything that meets the semi-formal/cocktail vibes. I'm late 40's and don't want frumpy, but also don't want anything too young/revealing. My motto is to allow one feature to show: slim silhouette, a little cleavage, or some leg, but never show all 3 😄

I'm trying to apply all of that to a dress, but I am striking out! Any suggestions out there?? I'm seeing tons of silk halter style dresses, but anything around my neck will make me break out in an intense sweat and that ain't gonna be pretty on silk!

ETA: I would always prefer to be overdressed than under. Being underdressed is an instant confidence killer for me!

Weekend suggestions? Best way to get around?

We'll be spending next weekend in Bethesda. I have an early morning conference, but other than that will be free to explore. Staying at the Embassy Suites, so not right downtown. Will have a car, but am wondering if it's best to leave it parked and use public transportation.

Looking for suggestions on things to do and how to get around. I've been to DC numerous times, so I'm looking for something other than the typical DC sights. I enjoy exploring and just walking around charming towns and waterfronts.

Is Bethesda Row just a commercialized shopping area? Any other areas of Bethesda that are nice to just walk around? I've heard alot about College Park and am thinking of heading there too. Any suggestions on that area?

Looking at the public trans options, I'm not seeing any easy ways to get to Alexandria unless I'm missing something. Any suggestions on that? I've been there before, but really enjoy walking along the water there so was considering that as well. I'm used to putting on a good 15-20 mile walk when traveling/exploring, so need options to keep me busy!

Painful straight neck with headaches . . . has anyone been able to correct neck curvature?

I've seen several chiropractors and tried exercises at home. Xrays show a definite straight neck. I work on a computer a lot, so I'm sure that's the cause of it.

I use a wedge daily for 10-15 minutes to try to restore the curve. I also use a band and do chin tuck exercises.

Live in the middle of nowhere so it's not easy to get to a chiropractor frequently even though I do think one helped some.

Has anyone found anything to actually help and restore the curve? I have constant neck pain and tightness and I'm getting more and more headaches lately.

Has anyone done a vineyard experience in Alsace with Cremant d'Alsace tastings and a lunch that you would recommend? I'm looking to book something for next month. We're staying in Riquewihr, but will have a car and plan to drive around the area so anywhere in Alsace is ok.

Does anyone know of a vineyard that does tours, tastings and lunch that would be east of Epernay or somewhere between Epernay and Strasbourg? We will be heading to Epernay from Strasbourg this July. I was really hoping to do the lunch, tour and tasting at Le Clos Corbier, but I'm not sure we'll be able to make it.

We cannot leave Strasbourg before 8 AM and maps is showing me it could take anywhere from 3.5 to 4.5 hours to get there. The last seating for the lunch and tour is at 11 AM.

I would love to find somewhere along the way to stop and do such a tour.

I realize these hotels are in 2 separate areas of the city, but both were recommended to me by different friends and I'm struggling to figure out which would be best for me. I will be in Paris for 3 nights in August.

Hotel 1 - The Card Hotel https://www.lecardhotel.com/

Hotel 2 - Le General Hotel https://www.legeneralhotel.com

This is my first visit to Paris, so I plan to see all the major sights - Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Luxembourg Gardens, etc.

I like staying in a quieter, more relaxed area as opposed to a busy tourist section. Both of these hotels appear to have excellent breakfasts, which is a plus for me. I enjoy walking through neighborhoods just to explore, so I don't mind long walks to the sights. And both appear to be close to major metro stations. And both are very similarly priced. The main difference really seems to come down to the locations.

What else should I be thinking about to make my decision?

I know crepes and galettes are typically buckwheat in France, so hopefully it isn't blasphemous to ask this . . . but, is there anywhere to find rice flour crepes in Paris? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE crepes and would love to have them in the "City of Love" but I cannot eat buckwheat 😞
