Stepped outside my comfort zone and experimented with a horror book cover for the first time. I created both the illustration and the cover design, and I’d love to know if it captures the gothic vampire horror atmosphere.

I’m excited to share a book cover commission I created for a very lovely client.

The story is about Hazel, a witch who has nightmares and sells her memories to a fairy in exchange for a potion that will give her good dreams. The book is still not published, but definitely make sure to check it out when it is because the concept is so interesting and i had so much fun bringing Hazel and her cat to life.

Included here is the finished cover version, along with some color and design variations I explored during the process.
