I'm looking at Eldar potentially as a new army to get into. In 40k, I usually play Knights or Emperor's Children. I like a more tanky and fast army and Wraiths seem to be that all in one package.

In kill team, I've been playing Corsairs and they seem pretty cool too. I like all the free dashes and the silly "no I'm going to play now" interrupts I can do on my opponent's turn. It reminds me a lot of playing necromunda with genestealers where my initiative was so high I fought first even if I got charged.

So I suppose my question is: is building an Eldar army that is mostly based around various wraith construsts a good way to play? Or am I just going to be totally screwed by focusing on them? Are they super weak or not good for the army? Or can I make a decent strategy focusing on them and splashing in some of my existing Corsairs?

Custodes leaked points puts them at over 200 points for a 3 man squad of basic custodians. Yes, that does represent their lore well, but we're knights. We're even more elite than some banana boys. I'm afraid what that'll mean for our numbers.

Lore accurate knights would be absolutely fearsome on the battlefield, but they'd have to be a stupidly high number of points. Wouldn't be surprised at 700-800 points for a big knight and 200-300 for a war dog if they have the substantial power increase to match the lore of what a knight is supposed to be.

At that point, your army could literally be 3 or 4 models. That's absolutely insane. Our mechanics would have to be changed massively to even allow us to play missions in the first place or we'd have to get a huge amount of access to chaff units to run around our feet and do the mission while knights spend their time murdering and never getting a scratch on them.

I'm not sure how GW is going to pull this off for knights if we're going to be so focused on the lore. It'd be really cool for us to actually be a giant walking engine of destruction, but I feel that'll be super hard to balance on the tabletop, especially with the 11th edition missions.

The school funding bill said the Department of Revenue was required to set the amount of Waterfall funding would be available to schools by August 31st. Did they just not do that or did they just not tell the public what their decision was? I can't seem to find anything about it on their website and Google just keeps feeding me stuff about how they had a deadline of yesterday.

I've been in the mood for a Western lately, but I'm cautious. The last one I read was years ago (I don't remember the name), but it got very conservative with the main character being a former Confederate soldier who demanded his wife submit to him and was pretty openly racist to the black characters he met (alongside the book in general just treating native American people as not people and just a plague that needs to be gotten rid of).

But any time I've searched for Westerns that aren't so conservative, I get books that are trying really hard to subvert the genre and focus on other things.

I'm not looking for a subversive book, I want a Western. Cowboys and gunslingers and shootouts in dusty old towns are cool. I'm looking for a book that plays those tropes straight without a lot of weird sexist or racist stuff in it.

I know there isn't a whole lot of lore out there about this chapter, but I was wondering if there was any lore about Dark Krakens who have fallen to chaos? Are there any warbands of former Dark Krakens? I think the idea of space marines who went too deep into the ocean and found something that turned them to chaos is really cool.

I feel like I don't really mesh with any factions in 40k very well. None of the vibes really for for me. I really love the Idoneth in AoS. Lots of weird sea creatures are awesome and I love all the details on them.

Recently, I've learned about Exodites and it got me thinking: are there ocean maiden worlds? Could there be a group of Exodites living on a giant ocean world who ride sharks and squids and stuff instead of dinosaurs?
